Heritage Resort Coorg

Heritage Coorg is beautifully located on a hill, with a great view. The rooms are comfortable and room service very efficient. Great variety of food menu. For older people they have a car gor ferrying guests from the rooms to the restaurant on the hill. Excellent stay.

Very beautiful resort, well maintained and nestled within verdant greenery. Very helpful staff all around starting from reception to restaurant to housekeeping. Resort rooms are nestled within beautiful greenery and the nights are really magical with low intensity lighting allowing us to really enjoy the nature at night

The resort is a sprawling series of cottages nestled on a hillside and surrounded by green, which made for very impressive views. It was located about a 15min drive from the main town of Madikeri but the roads were quite terrible. The rooms were clean and large but dated, as was the washroom. Staff were very nice and friendly and the breakfast spread was quite good. The dinner buffet was decent but quite expensive for what was on offer. WIFI is available only at the reception and restaurant and they had an infinity pool with an amazing view. Only problem was they had a sign that said employees of the hotel and the families staying over, were not allowed near the pool. This was quite disturbing to note. They also did not provide overnight bed facilities to the drivers and the reason they gave was quite flimsy and poor, but they did provide food and washroom facilities for a fee, which was good. All in all, it was a decent stay, just quite expensive for what was on offer. I would definitely commend the exceptional service of the staff, always smiling!!

Have to agree with other reviews. A real treat to stay here but make sure you stay for a few days to really get the benefits (our was just an overnight stay during a tour). Absolutely beautiful early morning when the mist is in the valley and never heard so many birds. Staff are all locals and so friendly. Rooms are very well provisioned for such a rural location and the buffet dinner was the best we had in India. Steep and complicated walk up to the restaurant, especially in the dark, from where the best views are but a phone call to reception will bring a buggy to your room to take you. The nearby organic coffee plantation excursion is worthwhile.

Great experience in terms of stay, service and food. Easy check in and check out. Comfortable stay. Great ambience. Great location. Rooms were neat and clean. Room service was great. Hotel staff was nice. Vehicle availability on time . Must visit resort.

Very nice resort in the forest, approx 1/2 an hour away from Coorg. The road is in terrible shape so you have to drive slow. We had a nice cottage with a king size bed. The bathroom was large and there is a sitting area, as well as a desk area, plus a patio. There is no internet in the room, only in the restaurant and the lobby. There is also a games room where you can play table tennis, pool, crokonos and chess. There’s also a lovely infinity pool and they provide towels. This resort is more suited for young people as the climb to the rooms and restaurant may not suit older folks. Breakfast is included. It was tasty and there was lots of variety. It’s a bit remote but lovely to listen to the song birds and the quietness of the place. The staff at this hotel were all very nice. If you want to disconnect from the internet, this is the place to go. They did tell us they were working on getting wifi in the rooms.
