No.23 Premium Aparthotel

Room was clean and tidy. 10 minute walk to the market square. Had to phone the reception for the access codes for the main door and to get the door access card for the room. No staff were on site. The rooms were not cleaned every day, the beds weren't made every day and the tea/coffee sachets were not replenished during my stay. If you choose bed and breakfast the vouchers you are sent are for the cafe/bar accross the street. There is a tram stop close to the hotel

On arrival we had to phone the number on the door to gain entry, we were given a whatsapp message with the door code and the code for our key, it is kept on a key locker in the hallway. We had booked penthouse with bath, it sounded a bit more fancier than it was, it was basically the top floor and had a bath with a shower attachment. The room was clean and modern, it had a safe, fridge and a kettle. A tv but obviously only polish channels. The wifi wasn't great, 5G worked better. The room wasn't cleaned in the 6 days we were staying, the beds not changed, this is an extra charge if you wish. I was disappointed with this, had I of known this I would not have booked. This hotel also doesn't have a reception, its all done by phone call. I had to phone on a few occasions and the phone was always answered after a few rings. If you keep your windows open at night you will hear lots of sirens, I was woken up a few times with the sirens going up and down the road. You can keep your luggage free of charge at the hotel if you have a late flight, just phone the reception and they will give you the code, the locker is opposite the lift on the bottom floor. Overall an ok stay but without the room being cleaned and no physical reception I won't be staying here again.

Would recommend No 23 to stay. Clean, easy reach of main square & all amenities. Would stay again

no complaints, large room and bathroom, left something in the room and they communicated well with me, so I can have it sent back to me. Within walking distance to restaurants and sights

The stay was in a great location, the main square was a 5 minute walk. The apartment we had was clean and comfortable. The breakfast across the road in Velo was delicious.

The Hotel did not clean the room for the fourth day in a row. We have no towels and no way to get some, because there is no Hotel staff here at all. Also during the written opening times of the reception, there is just noone here. The AC is noisy/broken and leaking litres of water into the soaking wet carpet. Some lights are broken, and some rooms don't have windows. The reception is not occupied during the stated times 7am to 11pm. We tried at 10am, 11am, 9pm and more Times. They are not answering any more through their support number. After a first complain they answered that house cleaning will happen the next day. This is three days and three unanswered complaints ago. Checkin is only possible through calling a polish number and getting instructions on where to find your hidden Key Card. This is ridiculous bad service. DO NOT BOOK HERE! Also, there is no Restaurant here, so no breakfast in the same building.

Firstly, the good stuff. This hotel is in a great location if you want to avoid the noise and crowd of the old town at night but be really close by. You can walk to the main square in the old town in 5 – 10 minutes. Trams run regularly on the street outside. The hotel is clean and modern. Our room had an easy to use safe and a refrigerator. The bathroom was amazing. Towels and hair/body gel was provided. There is a lift to all floors (but a few steps to climb at the main entrance). There is a convenience store close by on the same side of the road. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room. There are some cons with this hotel. There is no reception within the building (this is about a 10 – 15 minute walk from the hotel – but you do not need to go here to check in – your key card is left in a safe inside the entrance hall). You can message the team and they are usually quick to respond but you could be waiting until the next day if you need anything extra (like an extra key card or pillows etc … We were waiting a couple of days for an extra duvet as the one provided with the double bed was not big enough for two people but did manage to get an extra key card within minutes). This also means there is no one in the building to deal with immediate issues like our neighbours who had a loud gathering in the early hours of the morning waking up the children. If breakfast is included this is served 8 am – 10.30 am. The food is very nice but there is a limited menu and service is very slow. You can request extras (such as orange juice, ketchup or an extra coffee but they will charge extra). If, like us, you like to book a late flight home on the final day for that extra time on holiday and leave your luggage with the hotel, please note that there is nowhere to leave your luggage within the premises. Check out is 10 am. The luggage storage is around 10 – 15 minutes walk from the premises and is self-service. I would suggest you request the codes for the doors once you arrive, if you plan on doing this. Personally, I think this hotel would be ideal if you are travelling light for a few days away in Krakow and don’t mind being self-sufficient. For longer trips with more luggage, I would opt for somewhere with a reception and luggage room within the premises.
