Oakwood Hotel and Residence Kuala Lumpur Reviews

I've been to the Oakwood buildings in China, they are quite luxurious. This is more like staying in the corpse of the Oakwood building. The rooms are spacious and clean enough, but the furnishings are cheap and public spaces are a bit run down. The staff are nice enough but services are not good, when I called the desk to ask for ice around 11pm I was told since the restaurant was closed I should walk down to the lobby and fill paper cups full of ice. There were no towels at the pool, I had to go to the desk and ask for one. The worst is the elevator, like any hotel you need to insert the key to get to your floor, but the keys/scanner often don't work, so everyone is stuck in the elevator trying to get their key to work, going past their floor and having to go back down when they finally get the key scanner to work on the 15th try. Not the worst hotel, but I would not stay there again.
