Mehood Hotel (Kunming Huochezhan Beijing Road Beiguangchang)

The hotel is conveniently located close to Kunming Railway Station. The breakfast was good. But there is a bad smell from the sewage pipe in the room.

4-star rating for its environment. However, given that it charges only approximately 260 RMB, this is quite reasonable. 5-star rating for its location. Whether you are traveling to Dali or Lijiang, you need to take train from KunMing Station. This hotel is conveniently located just 700 meters from station, about a 10-15 minute walk. Service deserves a 5-star rating. This is the only hotel I've encountered in YunNan that provides two free cans of cola, which can help you acclimate to the high altitude. They also offer free hot milk in the evenings. The front desk provides guests with a Kunming travel guide and driving directions, which is an excellent feature. There is a street with food vendors across the road, but I advise DO NOT purchasing cigarettes from the souvenir shop downstairs, as they taste counterfeit. While it may not have the same environment as an All Seasons Hotel, it offers exceptional service.wish you a pleasant journey.

Great location, walking distance to the nearest railway station to other cities, the amenities comes with disposable tooth brush, comb and slippers, they even have a laundry room which is great for traveler who needs their clothes washed and dried. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Stayed here for one night to take the train the next day, breakfast was good, room was clean and it’s near Kunming railway station.

This hotel is new, clean, bed is firm and the room has good sound insulation; ask for the side facing away from the traffic. The hotel building has MeiHao Hotel written in chinese but you should look out for "Mehood Theater Hotel" "doAland" which is directly oppwosite JinJiang (JJ Hotel) separated by a pedestrian crossing (5min walk) Download the "DiDi" app (liken to "Grab ride") and it is very easy to travel anywhere in Kunming and the price is half of that taxi fare if you don't want to take the metro.
