Wonderful hotel. We always stay here when visiting friends in Kunming. Fairly convenient - though we often took Didi to get places. Top of the list is their service. It is first class! They go out of your way to help and often took the initiative to ask us if we needed help. Front desk is always fully staffed as is the breakfast area. The breakfast is bountiful. Not a 5-start buffet but more than enough, mostly fresh, options to choose from. The exercise room is simple but all the machines work and it's clean. The whole hotel is clean and new. Even have free laundry service. They spent time understanding what travelers need and pay attention to even small details like bumper guards on corners! The restaurant attached is a bit pricey but also excellent service and good food. They even have private rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors for no extra charge (for about 15 people). I think the only requirement is a min number of people. We used it two times. The only think they can improve is to add a little refregerator to the room.

After dinner, you can stroll around the beautiful park grounds, which include an Ocean Park and a ski resort – perfect for families with kids. The hotel truly goes above and beyond. They welcome you with flower cakes and tea, provide fresh fruit daily, and dessert every evening. For breakfast, you choose a set menu in advance, with rich and distinctive options. Since we woke up late and had small appetites, we practically made breakfast our brunch.
