Off the top, it's worth mentioning that we stayed here due the reputation of Center Parcs in Ireland and it's by far the most sensible and well priced accommodation option if you're going to Disney. With that said, it was gross and I wouldn't go back! STAFF Overall, the staff at Centre Parcs are VERY UNHELPFUL and at times pretty rude. The staff seem almost annoyed when you are unable to speak French, the explain nothing to you at the restaurants, the pool, the golf cart checkout, the activities. The are visibly and audibly exasperated when you ask them anything that may require them to do something. The guy that took back our golf cart and the lady cleaning the apartments on check out day were particularly rude. RATS We were afraid to go onto the balcony with the amount of rats we saw and also afraid to leave any door open. Disgusting and disgraceful, I saw rats at 3 different areas so it's clearly a pervasive problem. Specifically, I saw a rat outside the pool at the stroller parking, at least 20 by the bins, each night, until the last night, perhaps it was addressed and the also a rat on the main prom. I'm fairly sure I saw a staff member checking a hole beside our front door for them too. I mean, sure, the place is semi rural, but that's a lot of RATS... when I saw none in Longford and usually do not see very many rats in general in my life. Seeing 20 up the road from your apartment really spoils things. DIRTY The cleanliness of the accommodation was remarkably poor! The baby chair was still covered in food, the fans and extractors covered in dust and so many surfaces to touch were either sticky, grubby or dusty. The beds were very uncomfortable, the furniture was worse, the place was so hot, even on the cool days and to think this was an option above standard is incredible to me. The entire place seems weathered, grotty and run down and we were very disappointed when we arrived. The umbrella stand was broken, we asked for a replacement, the divider between accommodations was broken, quite a few spiders around, door was damaged around the deadbolt. We asked for beds to be made up for a double and a bed guard for our toddler, this was not done. Honestly, the place didn't even seem to be dusted... I met a "cleaner" on the final day when checking out, I'm not surprised with the state the place is an after "speaking" with here. OVERALL Overall, it was a very poor experience and not only would I NOT recommend it, I will likely actively tell people about the poor experience and I'll be reaching out to Disney directly as this standard for a partner is a disgrace. We are agreeable people, but the accommodation was a joke. The positives, and there are some: - The pool is really cool - The bakery is fabulous - Golf cart was a bit of fun to get around - Can't beat the shuttle to Disney - I enjoyed the overall setting I'm sorry I didn't take many photos, I didn't tell my wife about the rats until we got home.

I don’t often write reviews but we have just come back from a great holiday and felt it fair to give a good review. Yes the site on first glance appears tired, uneven pathways and accommodation looking old from the outside, but the accommodation was modern inside, clean and comfortable, we booked a premium cottage. Where the VIP pergolas are, the area is much more modern and is very well maintained. The main dome and swimming pool seem to have been recently refreshed and are well maintained, the restaurants weren’t open every evening but there was always somewhere open, the Italian appeared to be the only restaurant open for the full week we were there. Luckily McDonald’s is only a 10 min drive away. Wasn’t clear at first how to use the 3 free activity vouchers, but turns out you have to book them at the information desk opposite the swimming pool entrance, get in early as the list is limited and we found not all activities were open every day. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly. Great indoor play area for kids up to about 12. Pool was lovely and warm, and kept us entertained for a good couple of hours each day. We did a couple of day trips off site, just had to show our wrist bands for scanning when we returned. We pre paid for bikes when booking and collecting those was relatively simple, although the cycle centre is only open at certain times of the day, but it is open every day. The bikes come with built in rear wheel locks so no fussing with cable locks! We really enjoyed our weeks holiday for at least half of the price of staying in the UK!

Some staff extremely rude with horrible attitudes, ruining our stay! We have been kept awake 2 nights in a row by staff members accommodated in cottage 119, screaming between 2-4am and banging on our door in the night waking us and our young children up, making us all scared! When I went to tell them off the next day, the woman living in 119 was beaten up which extremely scared all of our family!! The cycle centre did not inform us, that certain hired bikes are at extra cost!! Although we have pre paid for our bikes prior to our stay, we have been charged extra €33 euros at the check out after spending ages in the queue. Disgusted!! On our last evening of the stay, 2 restaurants out of the 4 on site were closed, so unless we could afford to spend 25 euro on kids meal and €40 on adult, there was nowhere to eat. So that spoiled our last night of stay. Also there was no oven in our accommodation, which was NOT advertised! Making it difficult to cook a decent meal for our young children. Duvets and pillows look filthy & disgusting, I was worried to catch a shin disease even after putting fresh bed sheets on! I will NEVER come back to this place again and will highly advise AGAINST off staying in this horror parcs to anyone I know!!

I never leave reviews but felt that after reading the reviews of this park before we left I was so worried. I can honestly say we have had the best time. I didn’t want to come home wish we had stayed longer. The accommodations was as it said a cosy cottage. Had everything we needed. We did see some older style accommodations which did look a bit run down so be careful what you book. The dome was lovely and had so much to do. The pool was lovely and warm and all clean. We hired bikes and we were glad we did the park is so big. The restaurants were lovely. I will definitely go back. Our kids are 14 and 16 and said they enjoyed it more than a beach holiday as they were never bored.

We had a VIP cottage. We failed to find what was VIP! Dusty, bare electrical wire and broken lamp in the main living area, with inadequate seating. The whole cleanliness was very poor. Hair in the bath/showers. Especially when these are animal friendly properties. Ant infestation and a flooded walkway were just the final straw . We had a towel package which provided just enough bathroom towels and two tea towels for a family of 6 for 4 days. Yes there was a dishwasher which is great if we knew we would have not had to buy dishwasher tablets, and washing up liquid. You also need to take your own bin bags. It was just poor all round. Definitely not a VIP experience. Several amenities were closed. It was a very wet week so amenities were needed more than ever as to enjoy more indoor activities. We would never consider a Center Parcs out of the UK again.

If I’d listened to the reviews, we’d never have come. As it happens, we’re having a lovely time in a VIP pagoda and it cost €700 for a family of 3 for a week. Is it perfect? No. Has it exceeded my expectations? Yes. It’s clean, the beds are comfy, the staff are friendly and the newly renovated aqua mundo is a big hit with our son. I recommend it, just don’t be expecting a 5-star holiday experience, that’s not what it’s about, you’re in a nice cabin in the woods, surrounded by wildlife.

Our entire premium cabin smelt like a public toilet. We repeatedly asked for it to be cleaned, but no cleaner ever turned up. There were hair balls, insects, lots of black mould and cobweb everywhere, crumbs on the floor and grime all over the toilet tiles. Although the restaurant staff were very nice, the cutlery and plates in the restaurants were filthy and the food was cold, with very limited choice. Most of the promised summer entertainment wasn't available. The light switches hung off the walls and most didn't work. There were barely any charging points. There were plasters floating in the Aqua Mundo. The entire cabin grimy and overall unpleasant. If you lack personal hygiene and don't mind the grime and terrible smell, you will feel at home. Please note that there are no refunds ot cancellations of activities booked if you change your mind. Due to the filthy state of our cabin and the fact that we needed to wear face masks to use the loo, we were unable to enjoy our holiday and couldn’t wait to go home.

The premise of Centreparcs is good. Largely car free. It’s good to be able to cycle everywhere. Lots of activities for children of all ages and teenagers can have some freedom and independence as the park feels safe. Older kids loved swimming every day. But the accommodation is very basic and not great. We stayed in 516 (4 bedrooms) and it was not particularly clean and the bathrooms (a shower room and a bathroom) had a bad black mould problem (due to poor ventilation and substandard cleaning). I complained on day 4 as cleaning black mould in the bathrooms every day was not much fun. They sent a cleaner round but she couldn’t reach the ceiling. Had to clean the table and chairs outside before we could use them. There was no oven and no BBQ in our accommodation. No laundry facilities on-site either which is very unhelpful. I wouldn’t go back to this site, but if you do be sure to take plenty of cleaning products and stock up on food from an off-site supermarket.
