Laguna Shores Studio Suites

The worst experience in my life, not friendly at all, the suites are so small, the manager was rude we could’t stay, no refund back. The worst hotel a cero star if I could give them. Don’t stay at Laguna Shores! THE TIDES hotel is wonderful and its just across the street.

Booked and confirmed the room with a King sized bed. The bed actually seemed like a Full size, and was not comfortable. Woke up with aggravated back pain. My girlfriend and I are 6'2" and 5'11" respectively. We needed a King size bed. At check-out the following morning, we learned that the room was a time share and was the only Commodore unit with a non-king sized bed. This is very unfair. If they knew the bed was not a King, how could they take my money, and be allowed to offer this room under false pretenses.

We stayed only for a night but it was so pleasant that we would love to come back. Our studio suite was across from the beach park and we had a lovely view of the ocean and Laguna on the other side of the bay. We took a morning walk along the cliff walkway and walked through downtown Laguna. Our room had a Murphy bed, a kitchenette, and ceiling fans, which I really appreciated. It was decorated nicely and everything was in good condition.

Hated the noise. You can hear everything around you from above and neighbors across the hall, it felt like a herd of elephants was staying above us. I broke my foot in two places the 2 days before we left and couldn’t not go because it was a work trip. We brought our family with our daughters, both under 2. There was no consideration for handicapped accessibility, no consideration for the noise and traveling with babies, we were even expected to park in a 3/4 sized parking spot (most likely for a motorcycle while driving an SUV) even though i was wheing myself in a knee scooter- there was no understanding or compassion/exceptions from the front desk. The woman at reception on our second night made accommodations and let us park in another spot closer to the stairs, again, not the most helpful but at least our rental car wouldn’t be hit in that location. The price was reasonable, location was exceptional, facilities beautiful, the staff was subpar. We also were denied two extra blankets, because there was no bedding provided for the pull out couch bed and or blnket for the pack and play, so essentially we weren’t asking for extra bedding at all. But I felt as if I was asking for an extra limb by the look I was given upon my request for bedding. Seriously, beautiful location, lovely facility, super cute, but I think unreasonable staff can make even the most beautiful place feel bad.

We have had this time-share for more than 40-years. Laguna shores has become tired and worn. My companion broke her leg in September and walks with a cane. Laguna Shores is a nigh**are for a handicapped person. The second flat to which we were assigned had 21-steps to reach the door. No elevator. No handicapped parking. Lots of step all around. The staff are cuckholds to a mysterious "manager" who never appeared. None of the staff was empowered to do, literally, anything. If there was a problem such as problems with the sole electric wall heater, we were told to fill out a form to be submitted to the Board of Directors. Even moving the furniture in the flat required the acquiescence of the equally mysterious Board of Directors. If you stay at Laguna Shores, get in shape for lots of stairs regardless of your handicapped status. A sow with lipstick is still a pig.
