No slippers no straws because of the hotel is eco friendly also the spa has a heated javmcuzzi but 25€/1 hour and the heated pool is not heated is just an indoor pool

Nothing but good things to say about this holiday we absolutely loved it. From receiving roses on arrival to the amazing animation team we couldn’t have had a more amazing week. The whole complex is so clean and all of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. There is a good variation of food so that you don’t get too bored and a range of activities and shows on a day to day basis. My girls absolutely loved the animation team Tony, Anya and Stacie were great. The views on the resort are just beautiful and the grounds are so well kept, if I was to be really picky I would say the rooms are a bit outdated however they are very clean and you spend very little time in there so it wasn’t a huge issue for us, we paid extra for a room with better sea views and it was so worth it to sit outside in a morning and just enjoy. We attended the beach party which you do have to pay extra for tickets however it is worth it the kids enjoyed the fireworks and disco and it was something different for them. We were planning for a trip back but prices have come out over £1000 more which was a bit too much for us so although we can’t return based on that, we would still fully recommend!

I mean I’m going to be honest this was a pretty faultless stay. A near perfect hotel - lovely rooms, amazing food choices (even for a vegan if you can be a little flexible), a gorgeous grounds and man made coves, on site water sports (pay for) and a good sized car park. If I had to find fault the hotel can be a bit noisey at nighttime’s and it would benefit from some paid places to buy food if you are on half board. It’s remote (a great thing) with loads nearby if you want to travel. Car hire helped a lot. Great staff compliment one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed in. 5 stars and then some

The hotel is an hour away from Heraklion, so I used a private transfer which cost 85 Euros. When you arrive, they give you a rose and have you listen to their information on the hotel in general in the greeting area of the lobby. I like roses but I would rather see them still in the ground to enjoy them more. My room was on the third floor with a balcony, double bed, with a twin bed in it. There was a mini fridge and a great shower. They do not have irons or ironing boards in any of the rooms. There was a safe in my room, but I had to pay to use it. My room did have great views and at the end of the hallway, there is a balcony that you can directly view the spectacular sunsets without all the people down below on the grounds taking pictures. My room faced the pool area and the club area, which the club can get loud at night until late hours. When you book your reservation, you have the option of either booking the half-board or the all-inclusive, be aware that if you pay for the half-board sodas at the bars are not included in your hotel price. The sodas are only free in the restaurants during food service. All drinks are in the all-inclusive package. If you book the half-board for your stay, be aware you only get breakfast and dinner and not lunch. They have one other smaller restaurant on the grounds but be aware you have to book a week in advance to eat there, so if you are only staying for 4 nights, you are out of luck with trying to eat there with no reservation. With a hotel this size, there should at least be one other restaurant on-site as the main restaurant gets pretty crowded especially as it's all buffet food. The buffet food was some of the best that I have ever had. I commend the Master Chef and his staff for the variety of fresh cooked food and the deserts which were heavenly to eat. The hotel spa was also fantastic, the staff were great, be aware they will try to upsell more than what you are only looking to book. There are activities at the hotel, which took me a couple days to find the board that showed what those activities were and the specific days. The hotel will give you cards for the towels, I did not use mine because it was stormy for most of my stay and the last full day I was there, the weather was finally good but I did not use the pool itself but was able to find a chair to sit on though in the late afternoon. Be aware that there are not a lot of pool chairs at the main pool and people tend to set their things on them to save them, even if they were not currently using them, which is not fair to other guests who want to use them. The grounds are well keep and this is a decent size resort with several pools and the beach cove. If the weather is stormy, there is not much to do outside. The hotel staff to include housekeeping were extremely friendly. Rethimno is 10-15 minutes away via car/taxi, not within walking distance. Just got back from a wonderful holiday at the Iberostar Panoramo and Mare hotel. We felt so well looked after (all inclusive). The staff were wonderful, the sunsets were divine and the food was suitable for everyone in my party. We have some helpful tips for future travellers though…. Facilities: Generally, the facilities were good. There are about 7 pools and lots of pool bars which open around noon. There is a pool table, beach café, pool cafe, games itinerary run by the animation team (darts, volleyball, pilates, yoga, table tennis, boule etc.) We used all of them as the weather wasn’t great for two days but there was enough to do. The hotel isn’t in a town so you need to travel out if you want extra entertainment (no street bars or tavernas). We used the Little Train tours (olive mill and cave) and it was great. What most annoyed me was the fact that there is no gym at the hotel, as advertised. My son is gym obsessed and, when we arrived, reception informed me that the sister hotel (where the gym was located) had been promoted to 5* so the hotel residents weren’t allowed to use it. I specifically booked this hotel (through On the Beach) for that reason so I was disappointed by the false advertising on the booking websites (gym was not advertised on the Iberostar website so they aren’t at fault). Room: Spotlessly clean and ample for the trip. No bugs anywhere in the room and hardly any around the pool and at night. There was a fridge in the room. Balcony with an awesome view. We travelled as a three and the third bed was just a sofa (with sofa cushions lying flat which wasn’t great as the cushions moved apart during the night). We had to ask for an extra blanket as the child’s bed only had a sheet and was under the A/C unit but they brought one up straight away. A/C was effective. You have to pay for the safe which was 3 euros pn. Tourist tax as about £6pp pn. Don’t take towels. There is a towel laundry service included in your stay, Bars: Just great. The staff were amazing and hard working. Cocktails and drinks all included. Pool bar and Star Café deserve an extra mention as we spent most of our time there. The staff really were superb. Evening entertainment isn’t really our thing but we popped in once and it was well attended - everyone sounded like they were having fun. The lobby bar was busy at night. Food: Amazing. We ate so well and the staff were hard working and friendly – nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of choice including food-themed nights, Cretans food as well as basic foods for less adventurous diners. Zorbas and Star Café kept us going during the day. Staff – English speaking and super-friendly. There were lots of English and German guests and the staff could alternate between languages so we always knew what was going on. Beach – Definitely take beach shoes. I’m glad I did but my children didn’t use theirs. The water is ice cold and clear. Toilets, showers and a bar are down at the beach. Our family had a very good time. The staff is extremely helpful, motivated to raise the prestige of their hotel with every customer. The hotel and surroundings are well maintained. The food is excellent. Entertainment for all age groups. We recommend it to families with children as well as couples for a quiet romantic vacation! We definitely plan to come back!

We had the best time at this hotel after a bad start when we didn’t like our room as felt it was too small for 3 adults . I spoke to miss Vila at reception the duty manager who could not have been more helpful she spent ages finding us a nicer room which we absolutely loved . The entertainment team were just the best. They made the holiday . They were all so friendly funny talented and just the best ever . We went to the show every night and loved every one. The food was really good . I could honestly not find anything to complain about at this hotel . We loved everything and were very sad to leave .
