Banyan Tree Lijiang

Ambiance: Tranquil and secluded, a unique Chinese aesthetic. The entire room was filled with the scent of aromatherapy incense, which was incredibly refreshing. I loved the citronella essential oil and bought over 1000 yuan worth, getting a 30% discount – quite a good deal. Facilities: The open-air heated massage private onsen was fantastic. The room directly faced the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' view. Service: Our butler, Luna, provided excellent service. She helped us book a photography session in advance, arranged our room, including housekeeping, answered all our questions, booked our airport transfer, and took care of little things like the 'Little Turtle' welcome gift and bottled water. Highly recommend! The turndown service was particularly special: on the first night, we had a rose milk foot bath in a copper basin, and on the second night, it was a coarse salt foot bath in a copper basin. Breakfast was also good and came with a scenic view. One-way airport transfer between the hotel and Lijiang Sanyi Airport: The airport drop-off service was good. One complimentary ethnic costume photography session (requires booking at least 1 day in advance): I had already taken photos in ******* and Yi costumes a few days prior, so here I tried on Miao ethnic clothing, which was another great experience of local culture. I didn't add any extra photos beyond the included five. Seasonal welcome fruit: We received small fruit baskets on both days. In the evening, there were fresh juices and small cakes – red pitaya juice and orange juice. There was also a large cake in the fridge!

Banyan Tree Hotels consistently deliver on quality, and this is my second consecutive ***** New Year staying here. Both times, the hotel butler upgraded me to a villa with a massage pool, which was a delightful surprise, especially during such a busy period. The minibar drinks and fruits are all complimentary, which is fantastic for replenishing drinks and snacks after a day of exploring Lijiang. The hotel also provides a dedicated butler service. While many hotels offer this, Banyan Tree's butler service is exceptional. Our butler, Elin, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. She proactively contacted us daily to arrange restaurant reservations and provide outing reminders. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved quickly, and she even responded to our messages late at night – truly a 24/7 service. A big thank you again to the wonderful and meticulous Butler Elin!

A Naxi haven nestled at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Banyan Tree Lijiang truly lives up to its reputation! The architecture seamlessly blends with local characteristics, and every room offers a mountain view. The private hot springs and Banyan Tree Spa are incredibly therapeutic. The service is meticulous and thoughtful, the dining is rich and delicious, and the cultural experiences are unique. Located adjacent to Shuhe Ancient Town, it's quiet, private, and offers a perfect vacation vibe. Highly recommended!

Banyan Tree Lijiang is simply a paradise on earth! Nestled amidst breathtaking mountains and rivers, every window offers a picturesque view. The service is incredibly thoughtful and touching; from the moment I walked in, I felt truly cared for. The room design is full of local character, with comfortable bedding and high-end facilities. The SPA deserves a special shout-out – the techniques were professional and left me completely relaxed. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and you could enjoy the beautiful scenery while dining. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Yunnan!

The environment here is quite good, and the service is very responsive. The concierge service is enthusiastic and efficient, and the butler service is also quite thoughtful. The hotel's location is excellent, within a 10-minute walk to Shuhe Ancient Town. The travel photography service was also great!

The view is amazing, and our butler, Domi Li, was incredibly welcoming. They even decorated the room for my birthday and surprised me with a cake, which was a really thoughtful touch. We also got a free room upgrade to a super spacious suite, spread over two floors, which the kids absolutely loved.
