"Stayed here in end Aug where there wasn’t much snow cap on the mountains and a lot of clouds blocking the mountain peaks, but I’d say that the room view is still really nice because there’s sun, lake, mountain, clouds all in one! What we appreciated from this hotel: 1. The views: on day 1, we had afternoon tea (complimentary with our booking) and just enjoyed the view. We also tried to catch sunrise from our bed, and also enjoyed the view over complimentary breakfast at Level 1. 2. The service: this is the most supportive service we’ve ever had among all the hotels in China and other countries we have been to. - transport: They helped us to schedule complimentary pickup transfers from Lijiang train station to the hotel on our first day and from hotel to Lijiang Sanyi airport on our last day. - Taobao: They also helped me a lot with my many Taobao orders, across communicating with the delivery people, collecting (1x a day) from the collection point, returning some items as they weren’t fitting, applying for refund as my parcels still didn’t arrive on the last day etc. - other advice: getting used to higher altitude in Lijiang, how to use the washing machine & dryer, recovering from diarrhoea, whether we can still visit Lijiang Ancient City at night - other hotel items: gave us makeup remover and cotton pads when we had our photoshoot etc. - food: packed breakfast for us when we had day tours that started from 6am and asked us to pick our breakfast if we’re eating at hotel a day before. - housekeeping: they’d ask us if we’d like housekeeping when we waited for our didi to come. For the 6am day tours when reception wasn’t open yet, we texted them for help to tidy the room and we came back to a tidied room when we returned. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super comprehensive service, we highly appreciated this. 3. Toilet: this toilet has a bidet! We were pleasantly surprised by this. While the area around the hotel is generally still developing, to which one of our Didi drivers said there was growing interest in real estate around the area, among the 3 hotels we stayed in Yunnan so far across Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, this is the best one we have had 😊"

"This is it! After countless disappointing Airbnb experiences, this Lijiang homestay completely changed my mind. It felt just like home, with a spacious bedroom, a washing machine, a Dyson hairdryer, a cozy sofa perfect for watching movies on the projector, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the moment you wake up… The breakfast was plentiful and well-balanced. In the evening, the short walk to Lijiang Old Town was truly delightful. ^_^ Found two little cuties ~ see pic ~"

"Probably the best service ever, we managed to get a clear view of the mountains.. the room us clean, very spacious, and also equipped with high tech (projector, marshall soundbars, dehumidifiers, led mirrors, motorised curtains).. we were greeted with welcome fruits, rose cake and tea.. and the homestay is very near shushe ancient town (very unique town and less crowded), its also easy to get halal or muslim food arnd here. They also provide free charter service to Baisha and Shushe town daily, and helped to carry our luggages. It was easy to communicate with them tok, fast reply anytime of the day via wechat, and most importantly its very easy to get didi to Jade mountain or anywhere. Definitely worth it. One of my best stay ever!"

"No great views but all in walking distance and easy access from train station by Didi! Visit the pub 300 m on the left side when entering the ancient city for local chinese rock or have your cappucino 100 m from the Hotel! Having a person speaking English facilitated the stay but all personnel were so nice and engaged, that it would probably not have been necessary! Thanks for the tea offered while waiting for room to be dry after cleaning! We see so many good fruit that offering a fruit breakfast instead of a chinese one would be a nice idea! Thanks for the ride to the train station offered!"

"Don't be too surprised. I thought there were some low configurations near the airport, old self-built houses. As soon as I came in, I was attracted by the boss’s homestay. "I had originally booked a guesthouse, but as I passed by, I noticed the InterContinental right next to the ancient city. After checking, I found I could cancel the guesthouse booking, so I decisively booked the InterContinental instead. The hotel environment is absolutely first-class. After checking in at the front desk, there's a shuttle bus to take you to your room. It truly lives up to its five-star standard; the shuttle driver even helped carry my luggage to the room, so I didn't have to lift a finger – very polite. After settling in, I immediately headed to the ancient city. Suddenly, a customer service representative, Miss Cici, called to ask if I was satisfied with the room. I mentioned just one minor issue, and she immediately arranged an upgrade to a better room. I told her not to bother, as I had already used some items in the current room, but she insisted it was no problem. In the end, I happily accepted; the service truly was impeccable. This was my first time in Lijiang, and I stayed at the best hotel. Next time, I will definitely continue to choose a reputable brand like the InterContinental."

"This was my first time in Lijiang, and I chose the An Yu Hotel. My two-day stay was extremely satisfying. The 'An Yu Courtesy' 24-hour exclusive concierge service was excellent. They messaged me in advance via WeChat to ask about my arrival time and transportation to Lijiang, and then arranged for pick-up. The hotel is right next to the South Gate of the Ancient Town, close to the InterContinental and Indigo. Upon arriving at the South Gate, a staff member named Neal (who has a strong service ethic and is excellent) came to greet us. During our stay, it was drizzling, and we didn't think we needed an umbrella, but Neal saw us on the road and specifically chased after us to give us one – very thoughtful! He helped with our luggage, and when we arrived at the hotel, we were offered tea and pastries. Guests can simply sit down and check in. The room was clean, and all the amenities were complete and effective. In the evenings, the entire room had oxygen supply, and although the room was small, it was very comfortable and peaceful to stay in. The complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea were high quality and delicious, but it's important to note that lunch and dinner need to be reserved in advance if you want to dine at the hotel. When checking out, Neal once again helped us with our luggage to the main road, waited with us for our car, confirmed the car number, and even helped load our luggage into the car before saying goodbye. The entire check-in and stay process here was very comfortable. Every staff member was dedicated and provided high-quality service, better than many five-star hotels. I will definitely choose this place again next time."

This place is also located very close to Lijiang old town, in fact one could argue that the place is located in Lijiang old town. The staffs here are very friendly and helpful. Brought me to some places for souvenirs and advice me which street food is halal and non-halal. Definitely will come and stay here again if return to visit Lijiang."
