We spend 3 nights at Inotawa and had an amazing experience! We can only recommend this lodge to anyone that wants to experience the rainforest in Tambopata. The lodge is beautifully made and everyone is super friendly. The expeditions with our guide were great and since they preserve the area around the lodge very well you can see a lot of animals already close to the lodge. Additionally, the food was amazing! It really is a wonderful experience to stay at Inotawa!

The trip started with is being picked up at the airport were we weer greeted by the very friendly Rosa(hope i said if right). The trip itself is a smal advanture with the wobbly roads. After 30 minutes we arrived at the boot which took like 1.15 hours to take is to Inotawa lodge. The travel by boot is nothing less than amazing! The river is really wide and covered nu jungle on both sides. Arriving at the lodge, we were greeted by Shanti. Thuis German, Peruvian, Dutch woman had enough energy for the entire camp! What a great way tot start! She showed us the rooms which where awesome! Our house had a second floor where we could relax with an jungle view. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the tours with Joaquin! He knows a lot about the jungle and really does a great job in sharing his knowledge. The highlights where: a 3 hour hike trough the jungle, spotting kaaiman (crocodilles) and fishing for piranha's! Even without the tours, the place itself is awesome. It is so big, you can easily have a walk around and look at the different kind of fruits they grow on site. All and all i would definitly reccomand this place! The food is great (breakfast lunch and diner is included and where al super tasty) and the staff feels like a big family! Thanks for the great last three days of our holiday in Peru!

We had the most amazing experience at Inotawa Lodge with our guide Jungle Paul. His expertise and humour really did make our trip so memorable. All the walks and boat trips were full of wildlife which we would not have been able to see without Paul’s knowledge of the jungle. We saw howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, caimans, river otters, copybara, tarantulas, macaws and countless other birds. We really did get to see so much more wildlife than we ever imagined and that’s without all the information about the flora. We would recommend Paul to anyone looking for a authentic experience in the jungle. Inotawa Lodge itself was very comfortable considering the jungle setting. The owner and staff were so accommodating of our vegan diet - the food was honestly INCREDIBLE. We cannot complain at all.

Inotawa Lodge was without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Peru and proved to be an amazing and truly authentic Amazon experience. My partner and I spent four days and three nights at the lodge and ended up having the whole place to ourselves, shared only with our guide, the chefs and boat driver. The whole experience exploring the jungle is like nothing else: we went piranha fishing; spotted capybaras, tortoises and plenty of birds on the many boat rides up the river; visited the macaw clay lick; spotted giant otters and caiman while canoeing; and stumbled across tarantulas, snakes, scorpions and plenty of monkeys on several walks into the jungle, including a few at night. L The food served at the lodge was outstanding, with different options served for each breakfast, lunch and dinner across the few days. Certainly an impressive variety of food considering the place has no electricity and all food comes in on the boat. The food itself was also a highlight of our trip in both its quality and quantity. The bungalows were a special place to stay too, where we could return from the activities to rest and lie in bed watching monkeys swing through the trees just meters away from us. Also hot water showers were a bonus though not too necessary in the heat! All in all, considering the nightly rate of the lodge includes full board food and all activities in the day it was outstanding value and felt even more special with it being a private experience. Thank you Bryan & Inotawa!

Our guide Bryan was excellent with extensive knowledge of the wildlife and the area and who was good fun to spend the few days with! We had chosen Inotawa Lodge after extensively researching several options around Puerto Maldonado, some very polished options, some with swimming pools, and we are so glad in the end we went with Inotawa. Inotawa is different to many of the other lodges as it is further down the Tampopata so much deeper into the jungle. It takes about an hour in a car then a further hour in a boat down the river to reach it. This of course means you feel like you are properly out in the jungle and means there's more wildlife to see! It also is different to other lodges in that Inotawa train lots of the guides in the area who then go to work at different lodges. So you know you are getting a skilled guide through Inotawa. The food served at the lodge was outstanding, with different options served for each breakfast, lunch and dinner across the few days. Certainly an impressive variety of food considering the place has no electricity and all food comes in on the boat. The food itself was also a highlight of our trip in both its quality and quantity. Also hot water showers were a bonus though not too necessary in the heat! All in all, considering the nightly rate of the lodge includes full board food and all activities in the day (which probably averaged at about 2 to 3 main activities per day) it was outstanding value and felt even more special with it being a private experience. Thank you Inotawa Lodge and Bryan for an amazing and very memorable time in the jungle! We would certainly recommend anyone else choosing between lodges to go Inotawa!

Inotawa Lodge was an incredible experience for our entire family! We are a family of two adults and eight children ages 18 through 1. We loved every minute of our stay. The bungalows were super fun, the food was absolutely fabulous, and the people were the most amazing and sweet people on the planet. Joaquin and Gloria were our private guides and did an excellent job of catering all of our tours to families with children. We were able to expose our children to learning about the jungle, about the habitat we all live in, and about the world we share. This was a very ecological discovery and appreciation for us. Shanti treated us like family from the moment we stepped into the lodge. She was always happy and cheerful and excited to start a new day with us. She shared with us her passions about the jungle and about life. She also made us feel extremely welcomed in her jungle home. We highly recommend Inotawa Lodge to families, couples, & solo travelers.

I really enjoyed my time in the rainforest with this company! Their lodge was big clean and beautiful and the rooms or cabins were very nice to stay in. They put a lot of effort into making great food at each meals and that was very appreciated! Above all the guides are very passionate about exploring the plants and wildlife and conservation. Highly recommend the four nights stay over the three night. Thank you for a great experience!
