Cycling around with the free bikes we can rent from the hotel, we thought we had made the best choice of stay for Mai Chau. The room was large and came with a huge round bathtub. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we had during our time in North Vietnam.
Staff were always trying to help you.

This was an amazing place to stay. They had bikes for us to borrow and even yoga mats if you wanted. They have a traditional dance for show in the evenings and plenty of activities that cost extra like hiking and boat tours. The service was amazing. My favourite thing was the breakfast buffet. I woke up extra early to make sure I had a seat on the outside to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains while I ate.

Just spent 2 nights in a Deluxe Twin Room and I wish I could have stayed longer. The setting look out over the rice fields and the valley is so relaxing and dream like. All of the staff that I interacted with were lovely. The free bikes were in good condition and I enjoyed taking a morning cycle around the area. The breakfast was good, and for lunch and dinner I enjoyed trying meals at the local homesteads which are a short stroll away. Evening dance is a lovely inclusion. I would absolutely recommend staying here. They are doing some renovations during the day right now but they take a break in the middle of the day and the room that I stayed in was far enough away that I barel noticed it. Do bring ear plugs just in case as any noise does carry across the valley so if there's a late party in town you will hear it but earplugs solve this and I believe there's a noise curfew so once that hits the night sounds of nature is lovely. The shuttle to and from Hanoi is also super handy. It's a long drive but there is a brief comfort stop.

Be prepared to relax, eat good food and explore the countryside. The staff are so friendly and professional and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend a stay at Ecoresort Mai Chau Beautiful pool and poolside bar. They are currently constructing a new day spa and pool area which looks wonderful.

We spent 2 nights there in the Tet holiday. This is my second time at Mai Chau Ecolodge. Rooms were clean, spacious and had a nice view. The lodge is located in a quite and private area. My family love to explore around the village by bike (they have free biking service)

"This is a fantastic hotel. Our rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is convenient to the central area of Mai Chau valley as well as to the bus station. I only wish we could have stayed longer than just one night before continuing on to other parts of excursion."

We spent one night at this hotel while traveling through Vietnam. The location is beautiful. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant were fantastic with amazing food and very attentive and friendly staff. We would stay here again.

Mai Chau Ecolodge is situated about 1km from the main Mai Chau town and is a haven of peace from the busy main street of the town. We arrived just as the sun was going down and had the most fabulous view across the rice paddies, from the balcony on our bungalow. The bungalow was spacious and well presented, tidy and clean. We had a bath and shower, with plenty of hot water. We ate dinner at their restaurant on the first night, but I'm sorry to say, that it was only average - I think they'd "Westernised" to food too much and it was a little bland. The breakfast, the next morning was good, with plenty of options at their buffet. The staff here were very gentle, friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time here.

"Mai Chau Ecolodge is a beautiful resort, a perfect place to relax and experience the rural countryside of Northwest Vietnam. I love borrowing the free bikes to visit the Thai ethnic villages and cycling on the winding green roads through the rice paddies. It would be even more amazing to visit during the rice harvest season. The swimming pool is gorgeous. At night, the resort organizes cultural exchanges and drinking 'ruou can' (corn wine) with the Thai people, w hich creates a very warm atmosphere. If I have the chance to return to Mai Chau, I will definitely stay at Ecolodge and recommend it to my friends!"

I stayed in the village of Lac and was amazed by the hospitality of the locals. I had the opportunity to participate in a traditional Xoe dance performance and even learned a few steps myself. Drinking rice wine with the villagers while listening to their stories was a truly unforgettable experience. The highlight of my trip was spending a night in a traditional stilt house. Waking up to the sound of roosters and the smell of fresh coffee was pure bliss. If you're looking for an authentic cultural experience, Mai Chau is the place to be

Mai Châu is a beautiful and tranquil village located in the northern region of Vietnam, in the province of Cao Bằng. It is known for its stunning natural landscapes, including rolling hills, lush green valleys, and crystal-clear rivers. The village is home to the Tay ethnic group, whose culture, traditions, and hospitality are key highlights for visitors. Mai Châu offers a glimpse into rural life in Vietnam, with opportunities to experience traditional crafts, local cuisine, and vibrant festivals. It is a hidden gem for nature lovers and those seeking an authentic cultural experience.

When you arrive and are shown the tranquil hotel with field and open space with mountains as background , you will be impressed , but as the evening sets in the loud karaoke music starts up thumping across the field We were in 207 and were facing the field and it was the worst experience of my life Avoid this hotel at all costs , unless you want the hear thumping music with bad singing , this is not somewhere to get any peace . The customer service is good , mini bar charges are good, rooms needs more mains sockets and toilet flush is very poor , but the music blaring is a massive problem
Response from Property: Dear Mobi11, Thank you for providing us with feedback from your stay. I am very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience here. The time you stayed was the new rice season festival of Thai ethnic minorities. The locals sang and danced to cheer for a bumper crop. And it was also the time that Vietnamese students had school trip in Mai Chau town. There were more than 1.000 students at the weekend. Kindly sympathize. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the customer service, mini bar... We have forwarded the toilet problem to the maintenance team to check and fix. We do hope to see you again in another time to ejnjoy the quite atmosphere. Thank you again and Best regards, Mr. Du Quang Huy Director of Operation
