I had a fantastic time at Diamond Dreams of Africa, and Sammy the butler played a key role in making my stay truly unforgettable. I am genuinely grateful for his excellent service. Just a tip... The best cocktail I had was at the FAEL'S Cocktail Bar (Highly recommended). They also serve amazing meals. I highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again soon!!!

Wonderful spot on a beautiful coast, the Diamond Dream does not disappoint. We’re enjoying all aspects of this hotel, the food, the views, amenities - especially the spa. The gala on Saturday night with live music was fun, the buffet was gigantic and the food was very high quality. I had a deep tissue massage yesterday and it was so good that I went back again today. Shout out to Lucy and Adeda, both consummate professionals and talented masseuses. My neck is thanking them even as I write!

My stay at Diamonds Dream of Africa hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Impeccable service, luxurious accommodations, and attention to detail defined the experience. The staff was warm, professional, and always ready to exceed expectations. The facilities were top-notch, from the stunning rooms to the world-class amenities. A truly indulgent retreat that sets the standard for luxury hospitality. Without a doubt, a 5-star gem that delivers a flawless and memorable stay.

The best thing about this resort was the kind and thoughtful staff. Special mention to Sammy, Collins, Kevin, Florence, Frederick, Josephat. The second best thing is that the landscaping is stunning - and the courtyard center pool is beautifully designed. My friend and I booked a junior suite for April back in January and were so looking forward to an elegant and idyllic experience. The room we were given looked nothing like the photos of the room we were promised, which boasted mahogany furniture and four-poster beds. Absurdly so, the mosquito nets in our room, suspended like curtains from the ceiling, stretched only 3/4 around the plain (poster-less) beds - and so we were eaten alive at night, even after covering ourselves in insect repellent and face nets. Upon checking in, we discovered that our shower drainage was clogged (flooding the bathroom and spilling into the bedroom) and our bathtub was nonfunctional (it was never checked despite our advance emails requesting a nice tub, which we were assured we would receive). We were given another similar room an hour later - with a working bathtub full of corrosive green buildup on the faucets. There were very few guests at this hotel during our stay. Due to this, management decided upon two terribly unfair changes, about which we were given no warning, neither when we booked nor when we arrived. The breakfast and dinner buffet (as beautifully pictured in the resort promotions) diminished each day until it was nonexistent. We were instead informed to order an entree from an extremely limited menu. It is understandable that food waste was being avoided, but this could have been more simply and fairly handled by having the same buffet selection though smaller quantity. Why would a hotel penalize paying guests when unable to fill more rooms? Why wouldn’t they just shut down altogether for the month? Surely, this hotel is making a fortune during the high season and should balance out costs. A bothersome family of hungry cats freely roamed the dining area and were never physically removed; they were relentless in their begging. And, as I read in other reviews, I can confirm that the flies at breakfast were unbearable; there were at least two dozen at our table every morning, landing on every bit of our food. The considerate staff continually lit citronella candles at our table, which would be extinguished moments later by the wind. I would suggest that breakfast be served in an enclosed air-conditioned space. Only two of the three resort pools were accessible. The spa was closed; it looked like a deserted ghost town. Our entire final day, there was no running water at the resort - neither in the guest rooms nor in the reception/general washrooms. It was clear that this was a cheap money-saving tactic by the management. This has been done before, as documented in reviews here. We were not able to shower off the salt and chlorine pool water - and were unable to flush the

Use the hotel service to book trips or other activitys. The hotel have nice and clean rooms. The staff was polite, and provided good service. The swimmingpool was clean and clear. The restaurant had a new .menu for every day. The Wi-Fi was well functinal, and seemed safe.

What a fabulous place to stay, we thoroughly loved every moment and whilst we are not one for returning to places as the world is so big, we are going back next year! Not so good bits are, if you fly to Mombasa, it’s a 3 hour car journey to get to the hotel. I recommend flying to Malindi airport and then it’s a mere 15 mins to the hotel. The rooms are a little dated and overall quite dar. Some rooms don’t have sockets and lights by mirrors which is essential for women, no magnifying mirror in the bathroom and no iron and ironing board which for us was a shock but they do have an ironing service but the aircon is fabulous! The beds are extremely hard and for us we struggled with this though our housekeeper was super helpful and got us a mattress topper. The sea is full of sea grass and you definitely need sea shoes, the reef was disappointing but we have been spoilt. When on the public beach the locals do not leave you alone and whilst they have to earn money this can get quite wearing, you can’t even walk into the sea whiteout them trying to join you, in the end I was polite but firm and told them they were spoiling my holiday…I wasn’t troubled again! Shade for me wasn’t a problem but for my husband it was, no parasols were on the beach and only three by the pool. The hotel is one of three, each having their own pools and whilst we could visit there and eat in the restaurants they could not come to ours. There is a gorgeous beach restaurant with delicious food, I highly recommend the lobster. However, this is extra unless you have premium all inclusive. One day per week they have a gala dinner at the other hotel and the Al a carte restaurant is closed. Whilst the food was extremely varied and very good quality, for us and a few other guests it wasn’t quite our cup of tea. I do feel that on that day an option to eat either FOC or subsidised should be an option for the beach restaurant. Premium all inclusive was expensive and unless you are a big drinker, it really isn’t worth it. The rooms at night are extremely quiet and the housekeeping is wonderful and we were so lucky to have Michael who made our bed so beautiful every day! The food is Al a carte and for lunch and dinner and snacks is extremely varied, seasoned perfectly and of good quality. At lunch they give you an ice cold towel which is refreshing for your hands and face with the heat, they could do with bringing there round mid morning and mid afternoon when you are sunbathing as this would be refreshing. Breakfast was good and they made brilliant quality cooked food like eggs benedict, avocado and poached eggs on toast and nothing was too much trouble. If you wanted something specific, the chef was always willing to help. The fruit in the fruit salad though was very basic and limited and considering whist visiting markets fruits like grapefruit, plums, kiwi etc seemed in abundance we never saw any in the fruit salad. Phoebe and all of the waitresses and waiters were truly brilliant!

Overall, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The rooms are older, but this is balanced by the attitude of the staff and the quality of the food. Premium All inclusive is great. We spent one week at Diamonds Dream of Afrika with Premium All inclusive and it was excellent! The hotel staff is great! We especially want to thank Sammy! He did everything to make us happy. Again - thanks Sammy! He arranged everything for us - lunches, dinners, excursions, he even accompanied us to the market in Malindi so that we could buy souvenirs! The food in the restaurants was really great! Both restaurants were excellent! Drinks too! The beach is beautiful, but the sea is not good. You cannot swim comfortably in the sea. If you are looking for beautiful, clean water in the sea - this is not the right choice. But the pool was excellent! And we enjoyed our stay! It met our expectations! We definitely recommend the hotel! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The hotel is rated as a 5 star. Unfortunately, not sure how this rating is achieved. The hotel.amenities such as pool lounges, room and lobby furniture is tattered and dated. It requires a refurbishment or replacement. The poolside service is not any better. You struggle to get any service for drinks at the pool which is included in the all inclusive package. At the peak period, on 19 December in the morning we were told that there are no towels for the pools and beach as the hotel laundry service could not deliver. For a five star hotel they should have a contingency plan as the problem cannot be passed onto paying guests. The pool at the hotel was closed for maintenance from 18 December 2023 for a week due to maintenance. Guests of this hotel were forced to use the pool of the neighboring hotel at Sandies. If we wanted to do so, we would have booked at Sandies and we should have been informed of the maintenance issues at the time of booking. It is quite perplexing why the hotel would choose to do maintenance during the peak festive holiday period. The Savanna restaurant at Sandies hotel offers a buffet selection but it has no concept of variety. Apart from changing one or two vegetarian dishes each day, all the dishes such as chicken, fish pasta and desserts are the same every day. The Ala Carte option at the Terrace does not offer much options for lunch or dinner either. However, the breakfast options are good at the Terrace and recommended. If you want something different you will have to patron the Onda Bar restaurant which is a cash bar that is not included in the all inclusive. This hotel does endeavour to upkeep the general cleanliness around the property. The staff are very helpful and friendly. However, this does not account for the hotel's 5 star rating which is misleading. At best this hotel should be a 3 star, unless it undergoes a serious upgrade of it amenities and services.
