We stayed in this hotel as a 1 night stopover. This was our first and last time in a Premiere Classe hotel (can’t understand how they are able to use this name as first class it was not). My daughter’s bed had faeces stains on the sheets. There were animal hairs on one of the other beds. The room smelt damp. The bathroom was dirty and there was no soap. The beds were fairly comfortable however our sleep was very disturbed as the hotel is like a giant shipping container so every time anyone closes their door the entire hotel shakes and the only way to lock your door is to bang it very loudly. This went on through the night. We were on the ground floor so we could hear EVERYTHING going on in the rooms above us- people going to the toilet, talking, walking around. There were no complimentary toiletries or tv (as advertised) and no plug sockets for charging phones or laptops. We didn’t feel entirely safe as the doors open to the outside and unlike other French budget hotel chains there was no fencing around the car park. The complimentary breakfast was a positive (we were able to use plates unlike a previous reviewer) as was the room price and its proximity to the motorway but in future we will pay a bit more and stick to Ibis or Ibis budget hotels.

Arrived Thurs 28/7 in the late afternoon at Premiere Classe Laon and found the reception closed. Externally the place looked a bit rundown and tired. We booked in at the reception at the Kyriad Direct hotel next door and learned we would have breakfast there. Sadly, the jolly restaurant there has closed down in recent time. Clients staying at Premiere Classe Laon could in the past eat there at a discount. Getting back to the Premiere Classe hotel. I know this chain well, having used them over the last 20 years or so. They are budget hotels, designed to offer cheap accommodation to those passing through to other places. They are now looking very tired and jaded and are in need of a major makeover. I would have granted a higher review figure if there had been hot water in the shower, but there was none, and when mentioning this at the Kyriad Receptionist, I got a surprised look but no real explanation.

Disastrous... I know the world of catering and hotels, I know that it is not easy sometimes but there no effort was made... My partner and I had barely arrived in the hotel room when we noticed the deplorable state of the bed sheets etc... We had booked until July 28 at 12 p.m., we are returning from a wedding so we returned quite late. 3 a.m., we come back the door does not open. and in addition we notice that someone entered the room during our absence while it was indicated to be occupied. We call the emergency number indicated, never had an answer. A very nice young man was able to help us even though it was not his job, and we thank him because otherwise we pay the hotel to sleep outside. The next day, so July 28 is our departure day scheduled for 12 p.m. We slept very little because, as I said, we came back from a wedding, and the man who takes care of the cleaning came at 9am. He knocked, 1,2,3 times... and opened the door while we were getting ready. My partner was still asleep, the man tried to get in, and stayed in front of the door for 5 minutes asking us if he could come in. In short, I didn't expect anything but I'm still disappointed. I absolutely do not recommend it, I would have preferred to pay the price and have something clean rather than... that.

Terrible! Super noisy, the beds are dramatic you can better lie on the floor. You don't want to talk about the shower at all. Because of all the missing eyelets, half of the cramped shower remains. Floor sticks, the weather is in the sheets.

If you come to Laon, know that there is a hotel so horrible that I don't even want to use it as a prison. • The air conditioning is too loud. • A really hard mattress, the floor would be better. • A dripping noise coming from the room on the other side... • Lack of washing products. • A view that will make you argue if you come as a couple... • Only one socket... • A smell of cold tobacco that smells in the room. How can a hotel like this still exist? Really go elsewhere. Positive point: the copious breakfast at the Kyriad Express and the very professional welcome from the employees.

Only 1 socket in the room besides the TV and 1 far from the bed, only 1 bedside table, I had to put my glasses and my mobile on the floor. In the shower cubicle the curtain was torn, tiny shower you can't even turn around, practically no water pressure in the shower, no floor mat so you slip when getting out of the shower, toilet kazi in the shower you bump into it when washing, unpleasant toilet smell, .. in short, horrible .. for the price you might as well go sleep somewhere else! Very disappointed
