Pocitos Plaza Hotel

Lindo lugar, muy accesible. Muy buena ubicación. A pocos metros de la Rambla.

Hotel com bom custo benefício, café da manhã muito bom. O café da tarde que é oferecido como cortesia é muito fraco com poucas opções.

I came back after 7 days. More for the location than the hotel. This time I paid half (60dls) on April 8 and 9 and they gave me the room for which I had paid 7 days before (120 dls). That I did not have before and with TV not working. This date, April 16 and 17, room with microwave oven, kettle, coffee, tea and balcony. They gave me late ckeck out without charging me for already having low demand. Cleanliness is still not great. They also leave you an envelope to tip the cleaning lady that I did not have in another hotel on the same dates.

Old and poorly maintained hotel. Dirty walls. Torn curtains. Faulty floor. Key that never works. Free breakfast, especially eggs. When we arrived, the temperature in Montevideo was between 4 and 11 degrees. Even in such a climate, the Hotel has no heating. Not even in the bathrooms. Heating is provided by an air conditioning unit with a “heat” function. Even so, in the 1st room they put us, not even the air conditioning worked. Then we had 2 whole days without hot water in the room. Complete nonsense. And the worst was the incompetent and disrespectful way they handled the situation. They did not give concrete information about when the water would return, nor did they offer alternatives. A serious hotel, faced with such a situation, would accommodate us in another establishment or think of other forms of solution or compensation. All they did was treat us with contempt. The attendant, when confronted, even said that “he couldn't do anything, he couldn't turn into hot water”! It is a hotel that does not respect customers and demonstrates inability to work with hospitality and tourism. I will never go back and do not recommend!

Strong points: location. You can reach many interesting spots on foot. Service: cordiality and agility. Breakfast: good but repetitive. And something that for me had emotional value: the soap. I went back to some time in my childhood when I felt that smell. Incredible! I brought one home. Weak point: the hotel is a little old and you can see a lack of maintenance on the restaurant tables, walls that need painting, bathroom a little tight. Average: I recommend it for the location.

The room we stayed on the top floor had a nice balcony, very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom. Breakfast is good and the staff were always very kind and helpful. Another highlight is the location, which allows you to go to good restaurants and tourist attractions from pleasant walks.

Nos alojamos en el hotel tres noches , el personal muy amable , muy buena ubicacion en Pocitos . Esta cerca de la playa , prestan sillas y sombrillas para playa . El desayuno sencillo con poca variacion. Pero lo que deja mucho que desear es la limpieza , la decoracion / flor deplastico de las mesa del desayuno con muchisima tierra. Los muebles de la habitacion necesitarian un recambio. La higiene del bano no era la optimal , encontramos dos veces una cucachara . Una lastima por que esta catalagodado con tres estrellas y nos guiamos por esa clasificacion para alojarnos ahi. Lo pasamos bien por su buena ubicaion y porque fue una estadia corta. No volveriamos.

Bem localizado, numa rua tranquila, próximo à praia de Pocitos, bares, restaurantes, comércio. Ficamos em família num quarto quádruplo e bem confortável. Sacada agradável com vista para a rua. Café da manhã bom mas que precisa de um serviço de limpeza de mesas e reposições mais agilizado. Excelente atendimento na recepção.
