DEL style NAGOYA-NAYABASHI by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

Our flight was cancelled due to the typhoon, so we extended our stay for another night. We were moved to a different room, which had a slightly different layout.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I'm still extremely satisfied – full marks! The view from the window is very clear and unobstructed, and the room is clean and tidy. The best part of the bathroom is that there's no bathtub, which is great for comfort.

The hotel's Japanese-style breakfast was amazing and very delicious. The hotel also has hot springs, and the room facilities are new and very clean. There's a Don Quijote and a KFC right next to the hotel.

Booked a triple room for our family of three, and it exceeded our expectations. The room had a large entryway, perfect for luggage and belongings. Inside, there were three beds, which was great. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to the city center, offering a quiet retreat despite being in a bustling area. The breakfast was also very good. Honestly, I can't find any faults with this hotel. I'd recommend it to solo travelers and couples alike. It's truly a hidden gem. I'll definitely book it again on my next visit.

The room was spacious enough to lay out three suitcases. I always choose Daiwa whenever I visit Japan; it's great value for money. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from a bus stop that goes to Sakae, and about a 10-minute walk to Fushimi subway station (a bit tiring if you're dragging luggage). Nayabashi Bridge is right next to the hotel, and there's a delicious unagi restaurant and a Hida beef BBQ place nearby.

The hotel's location is pretty good, 1.3 km from the train station and 1.5 km from Matsuzakaya, making it convenient to get around. However, the layout of the hotel is quite baffling; the room is almost entirely taken up by the bathtub and toilet, and the soundproofing is extremely poor. The elevator is also incredibly slow, and the public bath is tiny. Avoid this place during Golden Week holidays.
