"Exit 4 of Hisaya-Odori Station on the subway is the closest, but there are no escalators or elevators to ground level, so it might be difficult with heavy luggage. I stayed here because I had a live show at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater. It's within walking distance, and there's an underground shopping mall (Central Park) across from Exits 3 and 4 (Otsu-dori) on Hisaya-Odori, which connects to Sakae Station and has a variety of shops, so it's safe even in the rain. Nagoya Castle is also within walking distance, so the location was excellent. My single, non-smoking room was fully equipped (desk, chair, kettle, folding mirror, desk lamp, etc.). There was an outlet by the bedside, and the room light could be turned on and off with a remote control. There was also a standby light, so even those who don't like complete darkness would have no problem. Welcome drinks were available until late at night, and I didn't use the kettle in the room. There were several types of tea and three types of soup. Since it's Nagoya, breakfast isn't necessary. For 800 yen, it was pretty reasonable. There were four types of bread: the salted butter roll and croissant, which were the same for both days, but the other two were different. The boiled rice* was delicious, with a nice salty flavor and a soft yolk. The curry was filling and packed with vegetables. All the staff were very nice, and overall I would recommend this hotel."

"The room is tiny, and it takes some getting used to the cramped space, but it's well-equipped with everything you need. I even managed to squeeze a large suitcase between the bed and the TV without tripping over it. Despite the windows facing the railway, you can barely hear the trains. The hotel has its own onsen, but I didn't use it. There's no room key, just a coded lock, and check-out isn't required – you just leave, which is convenient. You need to pick up pajamas and a suitable pillow from reception. On the first day, there were no soft pillows left, and I slept poorly on a bead pillow :( The breakfast is basic and always the same. Out of 4 days, I went twice and then stopped. Curry isn't really breakfast food, and the salad, omelets, sausages, and pastries quickly get boring. Overall, for 5-7 thousand rubles a night, the hotel is more than okay. However, during F1 days, it cost 27.6 thousand rubles per night, which is a massive rip-off, even with its ideal location for those using the express bus to Suzuka Circuit from Nagoya Station."

"Choosing the Fushimi Daiwa Hotel for my Nagoya trip was a great decision, the overall stay was incredibly hassle-free! The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk to Fushimi Station. Whether it's taking the subway to Nagoya Castle, the Sakae shopping district, or catching the JR to Chubu Centrair International Airport, it's all very accessible. Plus, there are 24-hour convenience stores and Japanese izakayas nearby, so you don't have to worry about snacks or late-night meals. The room, while not spacious, has a refreshing Japanese minimalist style. The storage design is incredibly thoughtful; I could open my suitcase without it taking up too much space. The bedding was just right in terms of firmness, so I slept very soundly. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, ample hot water, and complimentary toiletries and pajamas were provided – excellent attention to detail. The service was also very warm. The front desk staff communicated in simple English, check-in was quick, and they even proactively gave me a Nagoya sightseeing map with recommended routes. Every day before heading out, the housekeeping staff would clean the room spotlessly, even wiping away water stains from the table without a trace. Breakfast mainly consisted of Japanese set meals, featuring freshly grilled salmon, tender tamagoyaki, and piping hot miso soup, accompanied by side dishes and rice. It was a light and comforting meal, perfect for starting a day full of energy. If I visit Nagoya again, I'll most likely choose this hotel again. The value for money and convenience are simply unbeatable!"

The standard room with a 1.3-meter double bed is quite small, especially the bathroom, which is even smaller than those at Toyoko Inn. The facilities are a bit old, but the free natural hot spring (available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 AM) is a definite highlight. I visited during the Emperor's Birthday long weekend, so prices were higher than usual and rooms were scarce. When I went for a hot spring bath around 9:00 PM, I even had to queue to shower. Many locals also choose this hotel."

Cleanliness: If you want your sheets changed daily, you can place the change card on the bed. However, there's always a lingering smell in the bathroom and toilet. Environment: Located in the Sakae shopping district, it's super convenient for shopping. You can use the underground mall to reach major department stores when it's raining or hot. AHAHAHAHA location is also really great! js like a VERY. like 20-30 meters walk to the nearest station entrance/exit (which is exit 2! google maps told me 3 when i first arrived but exit 2 is literally js outside the hotel turn left and you can see it) i dont usually write reviews cus im lazy but i enjoyed my stay so much! would definitely book comfort inn again when i come back to japan!"
