Overall, it was pretty decent. The room rate in September was quite reasonable, and the location is convenient for getting around, situated in the Sakae business district. Several subway stations are within easy walking distance. The hotel was quite busy; I arrived around 3 PM for check-in and still had to wait for 10 minutes. The room wasn't small by Japanese standards, and it even had a massager, which was great for a quick massage after a long day of walking. The front desk area offered a coffee and cocoa machine, and the laundry room next door had an ice machine – all very convenient.
The only minor hiccup was that housekeeping misplaced my blanket. It took two days of back-and-forth communication to get it back. While their attitude was very polite, constantly apologizing, their service ultimately fell short. They only provided a hotel blanket as a temporary replacement *after* I specifically requested it. The entire process was very inefficient; once my blanket was located, they first sent a photo for my confirmation, which further delayed things, before finally sending someone to pick it up from the factory. I even had to alter my itinerary for the last day to wait for its return. Aside from verbal apologies, there was no compensation whatsoever. So, a traveler's note: always pack your personal items carefully before leaving the room...

The hotel is excellent. Though an older property, it's remarkably well-maintained. The airport bus drops you directly at the entrance, which is incredibly convenient. Downstairs, you'll find a 24-hour pharmacy, a convenience store, and a McDonald's. It's also just a 6-minute walk to the subway station, making transit very easy. Two popular chicken wing spots are a mere 2-minute walk behind the hotel and a 3-minute walk in front. The Chunichi Building is also nearby, where you can find Blue Cafe and Montbell, and take advantage of tax-free shopping. Legoland is directly accessible by subway, and arranging a chartered car to Shirakawa-go and Hida Takayama is hassle-free with direct hotel pick-up and drop-off. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Nagoya!

Stayed with BWH for nights.
Pros: The location is great. Only approx. 5 minutes walk to Sakae Station. There are many restaurants to go to. Convenience shops like Lawson and 7 eleven are just across the road. The double room itself is spacious by Japanese standards (as in the photo). Cleanness is superior. The hotel does routine daily cleaning services including replacing slippers and towels, etc. Almost all amenities are provided at the reception. Must mention that many things like face cleansing gel are from Pola.
Cons: The fridge makes clear noise (even when switched to level 1), so that I have to power off the fridge before sleeping. The soundproofing can be improved. I could hear laughter and natter from the next wall (their large voice did contribute though), especially when the night was very quiet. Another one is the small chair on the corner. It kept preventing me from accessing the window side of the bed. Should've chosen a better place to place it.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. After exiting Sakae subway station, follow the signs for Exits 13-14. Right next to these exits, you'll find an underground mall entrance; simply go inside, turn right, and walk straight to access a direct elevator to the hotel. There are also plenty of shopping malls in the vicinity. Furthermore, the hotel's ambiance is fantastic, and rooms offer views of Nagoya Tower. Child-friendly amenities are provided for younger guests.

## TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya: Where Modern Luxury Meets Impeccable Service
As part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya, left a lasting impression on my trip with its stylish design, outstanding service, and prime location. Opened in 2023, this hotel perfectly embodies its brand philosophy, 'Tomorrow is Another Day.' From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel its dedication to creating a relaxing and enjoyable stay for guests. Here's a detailed review of my stay from various aspects.
## Prime Location and Convenient Transportation
TIAD, Autograph Collection, is ideally situated in the heart of Nagoya's bustling **Sakae shopping district**. Located at 5-15-19 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, this prime spot scored a remarkable 9.4 out of 10 and serves as an ideal base for exploring Nagoya. The hotel entrance is just a 20-meter walk from Subway Exit 1, making transportation incredibly convenient. However, it's worth noting that most Nagoya subway exits lack elevators, so guests with large luggage should be prepared.
The hotel's surroundings offer a surprisingly rich array of commercial facilities. **PRACO department store** and **Don Quijote discount store** are just steps away, and luxury brand boutiques like LV and Prada are within a few minutes' walk. Matsuzakaya Department Store is just across Hisaya-odori Park, and the entire Sakae district is only one subway stop away, catering to all kinds of shopping needs. Food enthusiasts will also appreciate the area, with a famous Ichiran Ramen branch within walking distance. There are also numerous restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the nightlife is vibrant. Even after 10 PM, you can see young people gathering and street dancing, revealing a lesser-known lively side of Nagoya.
## Modern, Stylish Design and Comfortable Guest Rooms
The hotel's design beautifully blends **modern style with a touch of understated luxury**. Its overall aesthetic bears some resemblance to EDITION hotels, particularly in its lighting design and selection of hard finishes. The lobby, located on the fifth floor, is adorned with extensive stonework. It looks particularly stunning at night when lit up, resembling 'a luminous pearl suspended in mid-air.' The terrace outside the sixth-floor Executive Lounge features exquisite moon-themed lighting and offers a panoramic view of Nagoya's iconic TV Tower, making it a popular spot for guests to take photos.
As a Titanium Elite member, I successfully used a Marriott Suite Night Award to upgrade to a **Junior Suite**. Spanning approximately 40-50 square meters, it's remarkably spacious for a Japanese hotel. The room's design thoughtfully balances functionality and aesthetics. Each bedside table is equipped with a smart control tablet. These tablets allow one-touch control of room lighting, appliance switches, and temperature, and you can even activate the 'Do Not Disturb' mode from bed. It's incredibly high-tech. One tablet can also function as a TV, supporting external displays. The new, large TV features a one-touch Netflix connection, which allowed me to binge-watch an entire series during my stay.

This hotel offers excellent value for money, and its location is fantastic. It's very close to the subway station, just one stop away from Nagoya Shinkansen Station. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store conveniently located just 30 meters to the right downstairs, making it incredibly easy to grab any essentials. You'll also find plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom fully equipped. A special mention to the front desk staff who were incredibly helpful, even making special arrangements for the elevator to assist guests with their luggage.

First of all, a big thank you to those who've stayed here before and shared their insights! This hotel's location is perfect for a short trip (two or three days). You can take a direct bus from the airport to Sakae Station (check your flight arrival time, add immigration time, plus a one-hour time difference; if the bus schedule lines up nicely – they run every two hours – then the bus is a good option). From Sakae, it's less than a ten-minute walk (just around the corner). Going to the Sakae shopping district (just across the street from the hotel, a ten-minute walk) for food (Ichiran Ramen, Hitsumabushi unagi) is very convenient. For getting around by subway (Sakae Station is a five-minute walk, roughly halfway between the airport bus drop-off and the hotel), reaching Nagoya Castle or Nagoya Station (the transportation hub for buses to Takayama) is only two stops away (note: these are on two different subway lines and in two different directions, but easily identifiable in the Sakae underground mall). I recommend buying a subway day pass (valid for 24 hours from your first entry) and grouping your subway trips together; it's very economical. The hotel overall and the rooms aren't large (typical for this type of hotel in Japan) and it's a bit older, but the service and in-room amenities are still perfectly adequate. The breakfast doesn't vary much day-to-day, but there's enough variety, and the quality is pretty good. Coffee is available in the lobby at all times, and donuts are offered in the afternoon. I hope this helps others!

Transportation isn't too inconvenient; it's about a 15-minute walk from the station.
There are various convenience stores, karaoke bars, tequila shops, and pork cutlet restaurants nearby, and it's not far from various shopping areas. Self-check-in is very convenient, and the environment is bright and smells nice!
The room is fully equipped, with a balcony, washing machine, microwave, and you can also cook. There's enough space for two people to move around even after unpacking their suitcases!
I highly recommend it!

This hotel is where I’ve stayed for the second time in three days. On this visit, I discovered that they offer a variety of free health pillows for guests to use, and I really like the health pillow they provided—it made my sleep very comfortable. There are paid washing machines and dryers, a paid parking lot, and a hearty breakfast, making it very suitable for business trips or solo travelers. I’ll definitely come back to stay at this hotel again.

Exterior looks old. Room is newly renovated with microwave and fridge in the room. However all of us think that the heater is not working except the staff. We were told by the other staff there’s no limo bus service to the airport which we found out there’s a service 3 streets away or at the bus terminal from the tourist information center. Other than that, all was good.

GGuest UserI was so rushed every day that I didn't have time to take photos of the hotel. Although it's less than 12 square meters, I checked in late and left early the next day, so overall it was okay. They also provided slippers and toothbrushes for the children, which was very thoughtful.

윤윤앤초이투어 친절한 72This is a cost-effective top-class business hotel located in the heart of Sakae. The large bath on the first floor is available until 12 o'clock. The breakfast is not that great. There is a welcome coffee on the first floor, and you can use it for free until midnight. Of course, the staff is friendly.

WWang L.LTravel in Nagoya. A relatively cost-effective hotel in Sakae District. The environment is OK. It takes a little distance to get to the subway station. But it is still within an acceptable range. It is suitable for tourists who are traveling with a group.

BBeedawnWent there for the F1 race and it was perfect for the weekend. Just make sure you know how to get into Suzuka and you will have a good race weekend. The beds are your typical hard japanese style mattress and also you do have to turn in your key every single time when you leathe property and then pick it back up again whenever you come back. I do wish they just had disposable keys like most other hotels but I didn't have trouble turning in my key offended each day. I do like that I will also get a free drink each time when I come back at the end of the day

LlwwbThe location of the hotel is very convenient. It takes about seven or eight minutes to walk to the nearby subway station. There are food and drinks nearby. The hotel is very clean and inexpensive. The windows are very soundproof. You can't hear any business on the elevated road outside. The bedding is a duvet and the hotel is very clean. You will be fined 9,000 yen if you lose your hotel room card, so keep it well when you go out. I slept very well and had a full sleep the next day. Because I checked in very late the day before, almost at midnight, I was very tired, so I didn't hear the alarm on my mobile phone that I booked the next day. I slept like a dead pig. As a result, the check-out time was exceeded, but the hotel front desk didn't deduct any money from me or ask me to pay more. Overall, I am very satisfied and will book this hotel again when I go to Nagoya next time.
