The roads were under construction. It was not easy driving to hotel. No parking available except for valet which cost 60 per day! No in and out available either. The hotel entrance is in an alleyway. I had to ask for assistance unloading bags from vehicle. Once I checked in I wasn't informed about where breakfast was (if any) or any amenities offered. Once I was up in my tiny king room with absolutely no windows (I faced an interior wall and another room) no sunlight. It felt very dark and gloomy. The outlets near the bed didn't work at all. One of the lamps switch was broken. The whole bulb assembly nearly fell when I touched it. There was a refrigerator in the room but it barely worked. There was dust and grime petrified in pull out table /tracks where coffee machine was. No ice machines!!!! I searched for 30 minutes and couldnt find anything that explained where i could get ice. I tried calling front desk but my phone didnt work. I physically went down to desk and they told me no ice machines and had to get from bar!!! Also no one offered to look at my phone in room since it didnt work. The sheets on bed very scratchy and uncomfortable as well as towels. Hair dryer was broken and didn't work well. It definitely was as clean as you would think a Hilton to be and the room wasn't anything like the online pictures. For 2 nites it cost me almost 660 not including the valet for my car. Restaurant/Bar area nice but for yogurt and fruit for breakfast was 17 dollars! Probably wouldn't stay here ever again.

Be warned: DO NOT STAY AT BANKERS ALLEY. Don’t let the location, boutique talk, high room rates, and art stuff fool you into a reservation under the assumption this is a cool, hip, upscale, quality hotel. It’s not. It’s not maintained, cheap everything, under trained staff, and not clean. The overall theme is dank, dark, unkept, and sloppy. The elevators were torn up and dirty. Our room had repair patches on the wall that were spot painted over and very obvious, the furniture looked like repo stuff from a 40 year old hotel, the rug had spots from lack of maintenance, there was a large tear hole in the blanket, the coffee maker didn’t work, the toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall, and I could go on and on. The worse part was that we paid for the premium suite at over $600 a night with tax. After one night of feeling cheated we made an early morning call to the front desk and asked if we could do an early checkout out without even mentioning the issues. A very nice front desk clerk told us, “yes and there will be no charge”. We then made reservations a few blocks away. When we went to check out, the desk manager overruled the clerk who was standing there and then charged us. We explained what we had been told, that we made reservations elsewhere, and all the reasons why we were leaving. She refused to budge. After I started listing the defects she finally agreed to cut the cancellation charge in half down to about $300 with tax. This hotel is obviously following a business methodology some call “Slumlord Accounting” whereby the owner first takes out its profit and then, if after payroll and required operating expenses, whatever is left can go to repairs and maintenance. If not enough, then repairs aren’t made, upkeep suffers, things go to hell over time, and “too bad for the tenants” because profit is always taken out first. Total cost to us: $1074.12 for one night stay and parking (no food, no drinks, and not including valet tips). YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! Not what is advertised, not what one would expect, and definitely, definitely, not Hilton quality. We feel duped by the whole experience.

Hotel is not what I would call a 4 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival I pulled up to valet parking. Sat about 5 minutes and no one came out. I finally went down the “alley” to the entrance. Checked in. Took a luggage cart. Went to retrieve my luggage. Upon return still no valet. I saw a walkie talkie on the valet podium so decided to call for someone. That got someone’s attention. The valet came outside to tell me he went in to take a call and it was cold outside. The lady at the reception desk was friendly. That was the start of this stay. Room was nice. I had a suite. Large but no microwave. Good lighting. Comfortable. I went down stairs to try to get change for a $20.00, so I could tip housekeeping $10.00 and the valet when I went out $5.00. Front desk did not have access to change. Went to the restaurant Grey & Dudley. The manager stated the restaurant could not make change for a 20.00 he had changed several 100.00s over the weekend. I just looked at him and stated, but this is Tuesday. I assume you banked on Monday. Also typically breaking a 100 would usually be 20s. I found him having very poor customer service talent. Next morning was awaken at 7:00 am by construction outside. Beeping and jackhammering. They are doing major work on 2 nd street. I was not warned I would have to deal with this noise. Attempted to make coffee and the coffee maker leaked all over the place. Went out and left the “Room Needs Some Southern Hospitality” upon return at 4:00 pm no housekeeping service. The only benefit was that saved me some tip money. Day 2- woke up by construction at 7:00. Went to the Grey &Dudley. Our server, Ms. Button, was very sweet. One positive for this hotel. We both had Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. The Gravy was outstanding but the biscuits were very dense and heavy. My grandma would remind them to fold in COLD butter so the biscuits will rise and be soft inside. The Wednesday valet was attentive and took good care of my SUV The toilet needs to be secured better to the floor. It is close to Broadway, which is another plus. I will not return. This hotel is not managed at the Hilton level of expectations.

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. The room was comfortable and initially all was well until we got back mid afternoon after a day out to find our room unserviced. On speaking to the front desk they said they would send someone up straight away. No one had come by the time we left for our night out in town and the front desk said they couldn’t do anything about it because we had booked through a third party! This was a recurring line used in each of our discussions. When we left to go out the next day we reminded them that the room had not been serviced the day before and when we got back it was not serviced and the maid nearby said she was not going to do it as it was not on her list. Eventually with more complaints it was serviced. When we left the next day we were unable to speak to a manager as it was his day off! At no time were we offered compensation for not receiving service just told that there was nothing they could do as we purchased through a third party. Didn’t matter that I am a Hilton Honors member for decades. I was promised an email from the manager but … I would like to mention that the staff at breakfast were excellent and helpful and could teach the front desk a thing or two. Needless to say we would not recommend this hotel because of the lack of care and service

First time staying at this property and I was very impressed. I had a small hiccup with the original room that was reserved however, Brianna nothing short of amazing and took care of me. I’ll be back to this property in the future and hope to see Brianna again!

Our stay was great! From the valet to the front desk the service was wonderful. The hotel is definitely unique, and surprisingly quiet since it's in downtown Nashville. Lots of things to do within walking distance. I want to give a big thank you to Brianna, at the front desk. Brianna went above and beyond on the morning of our departure when the shared valet was bogged down, she made sure we got our car in a timely fashion that helped us to get back on the road before the rush hour traffic. Awesome service, thank-you!

The team went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We are not the easiest crew to work with, we make a lot of last minute changes, but they rolled with it all and served us exceptionally. We will be doing a lot of business with The Bankers Alley in the years to come.
