3/ 5I chose this accommodation is because it close to the metropolitan opera house in just 2 minutes walk and with subway station nearby as well. I lived in single room with semi-private’s bathroom. Please forget the (word semi-private’s), totally misleading. The bathrooms are share. You still need to wait in rush hour. Remember this is a YMCA hostel only, not exactly a hotel. If I am not visiting the Lincoln Center for the performing arts, I will not choose this.

3.7/ 5Except for using the shared bathroom. It seems to be a good hotel for the price. Wake up in the morning and go jogging in Central Park I feel like a New Yorker the moment I run with them.

4/ 5Very GoodThe house near New York's Central Park is really expensive, this youth hostel is already the most affordable. In addition, this hotel does not have a separate toilet in its own room, all are public, but you need to use a door card to use it!

3.5/ 5The location is on the west side of Central Park, within 5 minutes walk of 59 Columbus Circle. Hotel fitness swimming package, there is a canteen below. No breakfast, there is a big supermarket in the surrounding mall. Disadvantages: The room can only put a bed. Although hygiene is cleaned every day, the paper on the ground from check-in to check-out is still there. The ground has not been cleaned. This hotel has been in the building for more than 100 years. It is equipped with TV, small refrigerator, safe and heating. There is no sound insulation, and the next door upstairs is a bit clear and quiet. There are pros and cons, depending on your travel options. The booking of the private bathroom, the description of Ctrip's room type is wrong, but the customer service is responsible for contacting the hotel to solve the problem. Thank you

Haven't found the right hotel yet?
Honestly this place is really no frills. It’s extremely cheap and in a fantastic location - a step away from Central Park, a few blocks from most big museums and theatres, easily walkable to most tourist attractions and transport links. It’s also very safe, the desk employee asks to see everyone’s card before allowing them into the building. Also, you need to use the card to unlock your door, which makes your belongings feel secure, as well as having a small safe for expensive/important items. The rooms are small and not fancy or luxurious but you have a bed and a lockable door. The shared bathrooms are small and dorm-style which wouldn’t suit everyone. It’s best to use them early if you’re busy to ensure you don’t have to wait. When I stayed only one shower worked so obviously a line could build up quickly. Honestly, they aren’t the cleanest bathrooms. I was glad to have shower shoes! But they’re useable. The staff were extremely helpful, polite, and cheerful all the time. I locked myself out of my room in the middle of the night (went to the bathroom and forgot my card) and they let me back in quickly and efficiently. Also if you needed to ask a question or needed help they were always happy to help. Overall this isn’t a luxurious place. It’s very very basic living. However, it is very safe with good service and is in an incredible location for the price, and when in NYC I was so busy out and about that I barely stayed in the room. I would recommend it totally for someone who wants to save money to do more fun things!
