Casas Do Moinho - Turismo de Aldeia

Clever use of multiple spaces, each designed as standalone guest rooms. Ours has a nice outside space and was cool and spacious. The pool looked lovely but seemed a tiny bit decorative as it was pretty much part of the restaurant terrace. The staff were really professional and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.

A really beautiful and unique series of accommodation which is located umongst local traditional Portuguese villas. We stayed one night in tbe bed and breakfast room in a villa and it was superbly equipped with quirky features throughout. Incredibly clean and we had an excellent sleep! The pool and poolside bar are perfect positioned for an excellent view of the village and windmill - quire luxurious! Breakfast was outstanding and service super! Definitely recommend!

We stayed in Odeceixe at Casas do Moinho for three nights in August, as part of our visit to the lovely Costa Vicentina area. The property is comprised of a number of traditional village houses brought together to form a larger whole, around a central pool and dining room location. Our room was a bit further up the (steepish) hill, high above the town centre, in a satellite group of additional properties, necessitating a walk down for breakfast and back up the hill afterwards - this was fine in August, might be less fun in the rain. The stylishly appointed, understated dining room area is lovely with an open kitchen and views over the pool to the traditional moinho (mill) from which the property takes its name. Lovely breakfasts, friendly and obliging service although some of the younger waiting staff were perhaps still learning the ropes in terms of how to respond to requests. Our room, although more remote from the main part of the property, was also stylishly understated, with lovely use of local wood for furnishings, and comfortable beds. Tiny terrace with table and chairs just outside, but absolutely no view. Their restaurant clearly gets booked up for dinner well in advance, so we missed out on this having failed to book. There are other good local options. Highly recommended overall.

Beautiful collection of rooms on a residential hillside w/ terrific views of Odeceixe. My spacious room was bright & modern w/ a small, private patio. It was one of four rooms in a renovated home a short walk from the main Casa do Moinho. Their 'Naperon' restaurant was fully booked so I had a wonderful dinner at their sister restaurant, 'Assador', just up the hill. The continental breakfast was amazing-like something from an issue of Bon Appetit! Casa do Moinho is an interesting concept of accomodations scattered through a residential area, all within walking distance of the main Casa which contains reception, rooms, pool, and 'Naperon'

The Casas do Moinho is actually made up of houses along a street in the village. The rooms are very modern with all of the amenities. We were on a walking tour and were quite tired when we arrived. The staff checked us in quickly and we were so happy to be in such a nice place. The view from the windmill (moinho) nearby was stunning. What a lovely village.

My husband and I stayed here while on a 4 day self guided mountain bike trip. When we arrived we looked at the outside of the hotel and were underwhelmed but then we went inside the reception which opened up to an attractive dining space (Naperon) and an infinity pool. Our room was up the street in a typical apartment in a small village. Our room was tiny but very well appointed and very comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised. Additionally the breakfast was fantastic. Definitely a hidden gem!

Excellent place to stay in Odeceixe. We had a suite that was a small split level, since the lodgings were on a steep hill there was a set of stairs from the v living room kitchen area to the bedroom bath area. That said, the lodgings were not particularly spacious, the bedroom area was only about ten feet wide, and there was hardly any area to place your luggage or personal items. We had a nice patio from which we could access the dining area and the pool which was essential since we never mastered the intricacies of opening the front door, the code resulted in a definite click but we turned and turned the doorknob and still couldn’t open it. Still give a high rating since the breakfasts were very nice and the pool and common areas very comfortable and resort-like. The location, on a hill above the windmill was special too

There were three of us and we had two rooms. Our stay was excellent. Yes, the rooms are small, but the beds are comfy and everything is spotless. The area is quiet. Breakfasts are amazing, the best we have had in Portugal. The staff was great, when the taxi said they could not bring us to the bus stop, the staff came to the rescue and transported us. This hotel is located on a steep cobblestone street, but, with the oldest in our group being 83, truly that should not be a problem for anyone (the climb up was way shorter than we had envisioned when we were going down). The only negative for us was that we could not dine the first night at the restaurant (because they were closed) so ate outside at the one about a block away (inside full)....it was really windy. The next evening we dined at the hotel and it was exceptional.
