I’ll start by saying my last holiday in the area was a 5* ultra all inclusive so maybe my opinion is a little skewed but here goes! The location is great, with the benefit of a short walk to the main ***** with lots of shops and restaurants nearby without all the noise. A neighbouring hotel plays music til around 1am but we didnt hear in the rooms, it is a good job they do because there is no music in the bar/pool area at any time so very little atmosphere. Rooms are dated and a little dark, the grounds are kept lovely by the very friendly gardener (who also tends to the resident chickens). Air con & fridge free (though we had to ask for the air con remote and was issued a separate key card for it to work, so clearly no intention of providing unless asked), safety deposit was £30 for a week. Bathroom was quite nice, shower worked well. Mini bar prices were reasonable, breakfast absolutely not worth getting up for - they didnt even provide water. Signs everywhere telling you what to do including do not touch the lemons? and not to bring food/drink into the hotel full stop which felt a bit petulant. Wifi only worked in the bar. Hairdryer provided tripped all the electrics, another guest had said they had a few electric issues too. Balconies are tiny, bed was relatively comfortable but the additional single and sofa bed provided were definitely not - worth bearing in mind if coming with more than 2 people. Some staff friendly, some utterly miserable! Pool was quite nice, and as it was early in the season there were no sunbed wars which was good. I would say it is more geared to the older generation. If you have low expectations it will be fine, it is incredibly basic but served its purpose. Overall I would opt to pay more for a more luxurious stay if visiting the area again.
