Authent Hotel Otaru Reviews

Location is good. It is between JR Otaru station and the Otaru Canal. So it’s along the way. There is a shaded shopping street right next to the hotel. The hotel has a public bath which is great. Enjoyed it very much.

The location is very good. However, the toilet has a smell as it does not gave any ventilation like other hotels.

Simple hotel with sufficient amenities. Carpark was outside hotel. Not so convenient. We had to bring own luggage to our room. Staff not very helpful. Hotel is near to Family Mart and walking distance to shopping areas. Good location.

Hotel is easy to find although I need to walk around 15 min at slow pace from train station to the hotel. Luckily, along the walk, there are roof shelters provide so that snow flakes does not cover the path during my walk. Under these walking shelters, there are many food stalls and restaurants to have meal, beside having meals in the hotel.

It is a good experience to stay in this hotel. Location and service is good, and the food quality of breakfast is also high. My wife said the sashimi served in Japanese style is really fresh and tasty.

Great hotel, convenient place. Nearby to the JR Otaru. There's a convenience store just opposite the hotel.

Very nice hotel, the lobby is big and nice, allow us to check in at 2 pm. There are some reception staff that can speak mandarin as well. We booked a room for 3 people with 3 single beds. The room is bigger than expected and the washroom is more spacious as compared to others I have stayed in before. Pros is near the Otaru Canal, from the hotel just walk straight all the way will reach Otaru canal. Opposite the hotel there is a Lawson, convenient to buy stuff. Cons is slightly far away from JR station and you will need to walk about 10 mins.

Only stayed for a night but it was really nice room. The staffs at the hotel were very kind and there was also public bath. The staff at the hotel helped us call the taxi and the path in front of the hotel was well cleaned even after heavy snow. Highly recommend

Convenient location from JR station and canal in 15 mins. Friendly front desk staff and address our problem in highly efficient manner.

Only one socket is provided for tourist to charge up their electric applicances. Worse still, it's two legs!

Glad they have a 3 beds room, a bit old but not bad overall, staffs are nice. Public bath is a bit small and there's a queue for shower (first time~!), however, we do like their shampoo and conditioner. Car park is full all the time, but I parked in the nearby 24 hours car park which is even cheaper than the hotel one for overnight parking.

The hotel is beautiful and the room is clean. it is near to many parking facilities as well as walking distance to F&B. bakery downstairs, very convenient. The onsen is also pretty good. would recommend to stay this hotel and would stay here again if i come back to Otaru.

Location is great , food is good too. The pool of common hot bath is small . Staff’s attitude not so welcome to foreigners, perhaps we don’t speak Japanese ………cleanliness of hotel room requires further improvement, it is not up to Japanese  hygiene standard .  ☹️

The location was great, it was in walkable distance to the Otaru canal. Room was clean, staff was friendly too!
