Novotel Paris Porte de Versailles Reviews

The room is simple and neat. The staff is polite but the hotel is a bit crowded and they seems dont have enough staff to deal with all customers quickly, while some idle staff seems does not possess the knowledge to deal with specific enquiries which lead to 1-2 staff overloaded. Most guests generally need to wait at the recption when ever there is any enquiry. The breakfast have two choice of resturants, one is buffet one is a la carte. Both is nice.. The resturant on 8/F can see the Effiel Tower from far.

12th December 2023. First day we arrived.Internet was down.We waited almost an hour at 8pm for the 3 rooms after 16 hour flight and 1 hour travelling and walking up a slope with all our luggages couldn't get our rooms as they didn't receive our booking. 15th December 2023.On the last day , we decided to stay an extra went to the counter to confirm if I need to do anything.They said nothing else.At 11.59am,They called all our rooms repeatedly to go down to pay deposit of 51 Euros. 12 January 2024.We got a charge of our 1st booking in full in Euros from the hotel. Either Trip.COM OR The Hotel was scamming or being scammed. Either way I don't recomd anyone to stay there or book with Trip.com as they were supposed to return our calls 2 days ago today is 15th January 2023.No word from anyone. Called back 3-5 time all the times they are experiencing high call volume. As a diamond member I regret being a member and booking through them.and this is not the first time this issue has happened. Booking and no room.If the app cannot cope with volume do not accept orders Still waiting for call back.Hope to restore my bank balance and Faith in this App.

The TV is huge and the room is comfortable. I want to stay in the hotel all the time and not want to go out. The location is still far away from major attractions.

The rooms and hotel facilities are very modern, and the dinner and breakfast in the restaurant are good, both buffet style. The most important thing is that it is close to the Porte de Versailles exhibition hall, which is very convenient. There is a small door at the entrance of the hotel next to it. It is about 200 meters from the exit to the exhibition hall. There are trams nearby, and it's not far from Paris. A taxi costs less than 20 euros.

The transportation is convenient and eating nearby is very convenient. However, two black women were impatient when checking out and storing our luggage. At first, they said there was no place to store it, but they didn't help us until we said we wanted to dine inside. The other service staff were all very nice.

If you ask the front desk for slippers, they will be delivered to your door. If there is a problem with the shower, we will change the room. There is no need to be impatient. There is no problem communicating in English. Facilities: Very spacious, on the same level as domestic four-star hotels. The accommodation is very comfortable. Mineral water is not provided, but there are water dispensers on each floor and kettles in the rooms. There are paper cups and a hair dryer. There is a USB port for charging at the bedside. The elevators all require credit cards, which are very safe and are cleaned every day.

The hardware of the hotel is okay, the environment is good, and the breakfast is also very good. However, I was very unhappy when I checked in. I booked an executive king room, but I was given the room in picture 1. I was really angry. I went to argue with them. It was said that this room type is all like this. If you think it is not possible, you can add 30 euros to upgrade to a room with a large window. Why should I be treated like this when I booked a room that is not the lowest level? The second time we went again with the photos of the room type booked by Ctrip. The theory, the explanation is about the room in the picture. A person in charge came to the front desk and said that the hotel has more than 200 rooms, and there is no guarantee that every room will look like what is shown in the picture. We do not accept that they are cheating, they are just I was reluctantly upgraded to the room in picture 2 for free. The trip to Paris started very unpleasantly. I couldn't feel the kindness of the French people. I don't know if it was a racial issue or something else.

不吐不快，去法國前已經有心理準備，需要入鄉隨俗。 唯有挑選國際品牌，比較放心。 點知到酒店check-in，慢條斯理都算（沒人排隊等了15minutes)，checkin給了Room no.；然後上去房間後，發現卡開不了 再回到reception詢問，極不耐煩，後來發現他弄錯了no. 再分配一個disable的房間給我們。 住了4天，也沒有拖鞋/牙刷；只是當面問他們，他們表面笑口迎人，然後卻用法文說我們chinois gênant 其實只是拿些物件，下次再住這間酒店，一定會小心 I'm not here to complain; I was mentally prepared before coming to France, understanding that I should adapt to local customs. Eventually, it was revealed that the mistake was on their part, and they had assigned us a disabled room. After staying for four days, we realized that we didn't have slippers or toothbrushes. When I inquired about them in person, the staff greeted us with a smile but then referred to us as "chinois gênant" in French, which means "annoying Chinese." In reality, I had only taken a few items. I will exercise caution when choosing this hotel for future stays.

This hotel refuses all cards with the UnionPay logo, saying they will never use the Chinese system and only accepts cash from Chinese people. This is blatant discrimination. I don’t know why Ctrip recommends this hotel.

Very close to the exhibition center, the service attitude is very good.
