Very Good
张张The location is OK, it is quite convenient to go out and turn around, but not by the sea, the parking lot on the roadside is quite convenient. This hotel is a bit like a hotel apartment with a microwave in the room and a small hall
TTiliangdarenThe location is great, right on the seaside promenade, a five-minute walk from the bus and train stations. It's a typical North American hotel with a very high-quality feel.
OoooyanI have never stayed in such a speechless hotel... I stayed for a total of six days. The fire alarm went off three mornings, whether it was weekends or weekdays, and each time it was around nine o'clock... The fire alarm lasted for 20 minutes, and the hotel did not have any explanation, just saying it was a false fire alarm. I don't believe that there could be three false fire alarms in six days? ? ? The hotel does not care about the rest and sleep of the customers at all. The time of each alarm was almost the same, and it went off every other day, as if it was intentional. In addition, I also found in Google reviews that the fire alarm went off frequently and lasted for a long time. So don't book this hotel if you can. The room is very small and not very quiet. The bar downstairs lasts until about two in the morning on weekends, which is extremely noisy.
A deposit of 20 Canadian dollars is collected every night
GGuest UserThis hotel is well located and the service provided by the front desk staff, Ms. Iryna, is particularly considerate. If you encounter any problems, you can get them solved promptly by approaching her, which makes guests feel at ease during their stay.
ZZHESHENGThe hotel is located on the side of the road and is very convenient for self-driving and has free parking. Breakfast is good, Western breakfast, but there is hot water and fruit. The sea can be seen from the opposite side of the restaurant. The hotel is fully equipped with a swimming pool and a small gym.
GGuest UserI stayed at King's College, which is adjacent to Dalhousie University, where Lucy Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, studied. The historic building and campus are wonderful, and I'm glad I stayed here. The building and facilities are old, so there is no elevator and the toilets are shared on each floor, but they are clean. The room is spacious and has a mini kitchen, but no dishes or pots. There are towels, but no tissues. After checking in, I didn't know how to open the door, so I went to ask, but the two students at the reception desk were very kind and helpful. I had dinner at a Turkish restaurant nearby. The No. 1 bus stop was right next to it, so it was convenient to go to downtown.
GGuest UserBecause our flight was at 5am the next morning, we stayed at the hotel to take advantage of the early shuttle in the morning. However, the restaurant (The Hidden Gem) which is NOT owned/managed by the hotel was horrible. We were the only foursome other than a couple at another table. Whoever was in the kitchen must have been in la-la land as it took our food an eternity to arrive. Not sure of the name of our server but he kept forgetting whatever beverages we ordered included forgetting to bring water. Two of us took the Seafood platter, another took the Pan Seared Haddock and lastly, the Fish & Chips. The 2 of us that took the platter: vegetables were cold and so were the scallops & fries. The salad pieces were limp. Was NOT worth the price.
RRoaming DogHotel was situated on a huge property with plenty of free parking. Free parking at hotels is a rare commodity these days as every establishment is treating it as a cash grab. Hotel is roght beside a strip mall with a few shops and a pizza store. Besides this, nothing is within walking distance. When I arrived back to my room after a late dinner, I found a roaming cockroach in the washroom and I instantly sent it to it’s death. Hotel was quite comfortable front desk staff were courteous. I would recommend the hotel to friends for stay if they ever happen to be in the vicinity. Overall I would return to this hotel myself if I’m ever in town.
GGuest UserIt was unclear to me when I booked online that a “physical” credit card was required to use for a damage deposit.
*I had loaded my credit card to my wallet on my iPhone & left the physical card @ home.
(I don’t carry a purse, so this was a great option for me).
The motels policy was credit card to use as a damage deposit…NO exceptions 😱
I had offered to use cash, but, was told no 😱😱
It just so happened that I had a credit card tucked away in my glove box or I would have been out of luck…would not have been allowed to check in & would have lost $400 on the room rental.
SO…beware travellers!!
