"Before I say anything, the lovely man at the reception was outstanding, polite and willing to help. This comment is about the management of the hotel. I booked through trip and paid in advance but they did not have this information upon arrival. There was an invoice for £40 whereas I had paid £50 through Trip. The man at receiption quickly waved the new invoice. The hotel is very run down. The room was in an apalling state. Although the bedsheets and towels were clean the overall state of the room was awful. The drains were clocked, the shower screen broken, there were stains everywhere. I understand it’s a very cheap hotel but there should be a minimum of respect to the customers. There was free breakfast which was okay. Some of the other customers were quite loud and roudy."

Anthony ALWAYS goes above and beyond, attention to detail & makes a massive fuss over the dogs. We adore this hotel and staff really go the extra mile."

"Located in a quiet spot by a canal and across the road from a Shell petrol station this hotel fitted the bill for a one night stay. I was pleasantly greeted at reception and my room had tea/coffee facilities a comfortable bed, a small desk for working, good heating and a nice outlook over the canal. The bathroom had only a shower. Everything was clean and as it should be. The free wifi was poor and ran at a glacial speed. This now seems to be a feature at Premier Inn hotels. I ate at the nearby Brewers Fayre restaurant - reasonable pricing and reasonable service - although it took a long time to find anybody behind the bar on a Sunday evening to take my order. The food tasted good though. Overall this hotel is fine but not exceptional."
