When checking out the morning clerk was very apologetic as to help make our experience better but where we booked with ******* she was unable to discount our stay. Next time we may look into somewhere else now."

She went out of way to make sure we had everything we needed for a 3 night stay - delicious breakfasts, recommendations for restaurants and things to see, and she has great stories! The bed and breakfast reminded me of a small European inn (Liz and David are Irish). It is spotless with fresh crisp sheets, comfortable common areas, and in a great location. I can't recommend The Pebble highly enough - we will definitely stay here when we are back in Halifax!"

"You have to check in 48 hours in advance, there is no front desk service, and you have to pay for parking. After completing the steps, you still can't enter the hotel and have to rely on the help of guests coming in and out to resolve the problem. I called the hotel phone many times but no one answered. There were traces of orange juice on the water glass and large stains on the bed sheets! Only the living room has air conditioning, and there are only two fans in the three rooms, so the ventilation is very poor! What's even more outrageous is that the music from the bar downstairs is so loud that it even shook the bed. It didn't stop until 2:07 am! I reported it to the hotel, but their attitude was tough and unfriendly. I will definitely complain to the relevant government departments‼ ️"

"We booked the hotel for the kids so they could go swimming and use the pool all day. A last hooray before school starts up. Show up and are told the pool is closed for our stay. No offer of a discount or refund for the inconvenience. Told pool will be open again at 7am and check out is at noon. My kids are bored and don’t want to stay here unfortunately I booked a non refundable room so $300 to have a bed for a night. Will not recommend. The fridge in room is dirty and there’s stains on the wall by the garbage can. The key for the door was spotty but got it to work eventually."

It looks like it has been significantly upgraded in more recent times to make it a pretty fancy place in the current day. The lobby has been done and the room that we stayed in looks it has been pretty much completed. Other areas of the property are still in progress. The staff were informative and quite accommodating. The included breakfast is buffet style with a good menu to select from. The only thing that was missing was the presence of fruit juices. At the current room rate, it is a very good value."
