"I'm a local and booked this hotel for a friend. It was their first time there, and the receptionist greeted them warmly from the moment they entered. The room was spotless and tidy, and the breakfast had all of my friend's favorites with a wide selection. Although the room faced the street, the windows were sealed very tightly, so we couldn't hear a thing. It was really great and definitely deserves a good review."

TTeacherLiIt's a very new hotel, and the service was quite professional, but the prices during the National Day holiday were really expensive! I stayed on the first floor, and according to the hotel, it was an upgraded courtyard room. Two rooms were booked, and the facilities were both good.
Facilities: Problem 1: My friend's room next door had a courtyard that connected to the main road, and there was a gap in the fence allowing entry and exit.
Problem 2: I couldn't get out of my room this morning; the security lock on the door was stuck… a hotel staff member had to jump in from the small courtyard outside to open it.
Service: The handling process was okay; this room received a 30% discount. For such a large hotel, it wasn't particularly grand.

QQimiaodedengtaThe purpose of this trip to Benxi was twofold: Firstly, to take my seventy-year-old parents back to Benxi Water Caves, revisiting a place from their vibrant youth and reliving those passionate memories. Secondly, it was to help my daughter de-stress before she transitions from primary to junior high, as she's about to step into the demanding arena of life.
**Reason for choosing this place:** We picked Guan Shan Lake Xikang Yunshe because its online photos were simply breathtaking – showcasing stunning scenery, lush greenery, magnificent views, and picturesque beauty that truly captivated me and made me want to experience it firsthand. (Honestly, with so many guesthouses and hotels sprouting up across Benxi like mushrooms after rain these past two years, to avoid decision paralysis, I simply picked the top-ranked one.)
**First Impression:** The mountains were in a languid slumber, while the clouds playfully sketched the outline of a castle. At three in the afternoon, the golden sunlight pierced through the clouds, bathing the grey castle in a glow that felt like a divine touch and special favor. (Though this description might seem a bit exaggerated, I believe even Eileen Chang would write it this way.)
Let me discuss the facilities, hygiene, environment, service, unique hot springs, and buffet breakfast all at once:
* **Facilities:** Among all hotels I've stayed at in the same price range, these are personally the most satisfactory and my favorite.
* **Hygiene:** There's still room for improvement. I admit I have exceptionally high standards for cleanliness; my husband, whose pocket money has been depleted by my pickiness, can attest to that.
* **Environment:** The advantages here are self-evident: blessed with unique green mountains, clear waters, and swirling mist. There's simply no room for me to find fault, and I suspect the people of Benxi wouldn't allow it anyway!
* **Service:** I deliberately tried to count the staff members I encountered: two doormen, four charming front desk staff, a villa driver, a room cleaning attendant, kitchen/delivery personnel, staff in the hot spring area, and dining areas... Oh, never mind, I confess my math isn't good enough to count them all. In short, every staff member I met was patient, caring, and dedicated. Their service was perfectly balanced, attentive without being overly enthusiastic. Yes, the hotel management behind the scenes certainly deserves a grand commendation.
* **Unique Hot Springs:** Both my mom and daughter had a wonderful time soaking. My daughter was thrilled because there was unlimited ice cream available, which she could openly and freely enjoy – something I don't usually permit at home. My mom, in turn, was happy seeing her daughter so joyful. Given that the ice cream was actually quite high-quality, I even broke my own rule and indulged in quite a bit. It wasn't just about taking advantage of something free; it was more about not wanting to be a hypocrite with one rule for them and another for me. There were also plenty of unlimited fruits and snacks, perfect for quenching thirst and cooling down.
* **Buffet Breakfast:** The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety. I prefer strong flavors in the morning and enjoyed a generous amount of boiled shrimp, baked beans in tomato sauce, Italian beef brisket, bacon, and homemade yogurt. For those who prefer lighter options, the traditional Chinese breakfast choices were truly dazzling.
**A Side Note:** At 4:27 AM, I leaned by the hot spring pool in my room. The water temperature was 37.2 degrees Celsius, exactly half a degree higher than my body temperature – just enough to help my tense nerves loosen their first button. True enjoyment, I realized, is found in places where even time seems to slow down. At that moment, I gazed at the mist still lingering over the distant mountains and fields outside my window, then slowly closed my eyes, drifting back into a soothing dream, only to be awakened by: ”Mom, Mom, Mom, is the hot spring water ready for me?!”

AAyshanyouyouguangguangIt was my first time in Benxi, and I specifically booked a hotel close to the tour bus station. It was perfect for those traveling by car, especially since we were going to Laobiangou.
Service: The front desk was friendly and greeted us every time we entered or left. It was a bit unnecessary, but I appreciated their efforts. When I asked for directions, they were always helpful. The cleaning lady offered water, which was a good comment.
Environment: Very close to the train station, with affordable convenience stores nearby. It's also close to shops in the city center.
Cleanliness: I only stayed two nights and didn't request housekeeping, so I can't comment. I didn't notice any major issues upon entering, but I was a bit bothered by the noticeable stains on the small sofa.
Facilities: Compared to a typical hotel with convenient transportation, this room had an automatic toilet, quiet air conditioning, a large illuminated makeup mirror, and light wood decor. The pillows and mattress could be improved compared to over 200 mid-sized or chain hotels in third-tier cities. The toothbrush and toothpaste were also quite average. The comforter was decent quality.

The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the quality of toiletries is also very good. GGuest UserTraveling with the elderly and children, we booked a tatami four-person room. This room type is available on the fourth and fifth floors. The fourth floor can be reached directly by elevator, but the light is a little worse. The fifth floor requires one flight of stairs, which is not very convenient. At that time, there was a large window that made it brighter. Each floor has its pros and cons. We have a lot of stuff with our kids and elderly people, so we chose the fourth floor.
The staff was very nice. They showed me two types of rooms and let me choose. When I checked out, my baby was still asleep from her nap, so they took the initiative to extend our check-out by one hour.
The surrounding natural environment is also very good, surrounded by mountains and small streams, it is particularly beautiful.
The downside is that the bathroom has a bit of an unpleasant smell and the room lights are too dim.

GGuest UserIt's located 1km away fr the bus station. It's a bit tough to get to the hotel on foot if you are dragging along a big luggage. It's easy to get a ride hailing from the hotel. We had problem on the electric power on off initially, the front desk quickly sent someone to attend on it. The breakfast has many variety to choose from. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here.

RRravlThe hotel is very clean.the room is small for just ok for one person with a super single mattress. There are a lot of eateries and shops nearby, looks like a BBQ street. The locatition is a bit hard to reach. There is no nore bus to go there after 8:20. The city is very clean and beautiful. In generla a good place to go. And most importantly, it is really cheap.
