This hotel offers a genuine private onsen in every room, with a continuous flow of hot spring water 24/7. The in-room amenities are exceptional; the air conditioning is powerful, the bedding is comfortable, and the Refa showerhead and hairdryer are fantastic. They even provide a Hario pour-over coffee set for guests to enjoy. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western set menus in advance, and the portions are so generous you'll barely finish. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast menu doesn't vary much day-to-day. The only real downside to this hotel is its lack of public transport access, so you'll need to take a taxi. While visiting the lake, I passed by several other well-known large hotels. They might have better locations, but they looked quite old and had many more rooms, making them less private than this one. To each their own, but if I return to Toya, I would definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel is truly a sanctuary from the world. On the day we checked in, perhaps due to the season, we only encountered three other groups of guests in the entire hotel, which gave us a sense of having the place to ourselves – absolute privacy! The outdoor hot spring is a must-visit. As someone who enjoys fitness, I was very impressed with the well-equipped gym, which even had Pilates machines. After a good workout, you can head straight to the outdoor hot spring next door to relax. The dining was also excellent; for breakfast, you could choose between Japanese or Western style, both featuring unique local ingredients, which was really interesting. The service was also superb. During a chat with one of the staff members, I learned that Jenny was also from Hong Kong, and it was such a pleasant surprise to meet someone from home. Jenny's service was wonderful and efficient, ensuring we had a fantastic stay. I'm a bit torn about whether to recommend this hotel because I don't want it to become a crowded place, haha. I only recommend this hotel for those with a car, as there's nothing else around, not even a convenience store. It's perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

I just booked on Ctrip, and the hotel promptly sent an email asking about any food allergies and my arrival time. Sure enough, as soon as my chartered car pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member was already there to confirm my details. The check-in process was handled entirely by a dedicated person in the lounge area while I sat comfortably on a sofa, enjoying welcome snacks. It was a really pleasant experience. I booked a private onsen suite this time, and the room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring not only a private hot spring but also a massage chair. All drinks at the hotel bar were complimentary, and the Kaiseki dinner I added in the evening was incredibly fresh and delicious, course after course. Although breakfast was a fixed set menu, the ingredients and fruits changed daily. While it's not super close to the ski resort center, the hotel provides a shuttle bus service, and there's also a convenience store and vending machines on-site. Overall, it was truly excellent and exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back next time, whether for skiing in Niseko or just for a quiet getaway!

The hotel boasts a prime location on a mountain overlooking Lake Toya, with rooms on the other side offering Pacific Ocean views. We booked a lake view room and an ocean view room for two adults and two children, and both offered stunning scenery. The rooms are quite spacious by Japanese hotel standards. The only drawback is that getting down the mountain can be inconvenient if you don't have your own car or a private charter. Luckily, the hotel has several good restaurants, making it a decent choice for a relaxing two-day getaway. The breakfast spread was ample and of good quality, with both Japanese and Western options available. Additionally, the hotel has its own florist, and the floral arrangements in the lobby are beautiful.

Absolutely loved our stay at Nonokaze. The hotel is beautiful, and they are very generous with everything — from the lounge freebies to the breakfast and dinner buffets. I upgraded my birthday dinner to N Vague, and it was definitely worth it. The French cuisine using local Hokkaido ingredients was delicious and became one of the highlights of my birthday. What touched me even more was the surprise the next morning. There was a paper bag hanging outside our door with a framed photo of me and my mom inside, plus a short birthday message at the back. Such a thoughtful gesture that I will never forget. Our room was also beautiful and very relaxing. Just sitting in the living area while looking at Lake Toya was already special, and the view of the fireworks from our room was perfect — it honestly felt like the fireworks were right in front of us. The staff were all very accommodating and welcoming. I’m very happy and grateful for our stay at Nonokaze. It made my birthday even more memorable, and this is definitely one hotel experience I will never forget.

The staff service is excellent, and the outdoor onsen is beautiful and very enjoyable. The only downside is that during peak hours, there are a lot of external visitors, but if you avoid those times, it's incredibly relaxing. There are limited food options both inside and nearby, so it's advisable to come prepared for that. The room was lovely, and the futons were very comfortable.

Overrall its a great experience. Pick the room with the lake view so that you can enjoy the spectacular fireworks without going downstairs, also it’s an unblocked view where the fireworks literally sparkles infront of your face. The room was decent with a more aged Japanese style vibe. They have free tea and water in the lobby area. There’s also a beautiful cafe looking out to the sea to enjoy your coffee. The highlight with this hotel is the onsen bath on the 8th floor, it’s one of the nicest onsen bath we’ve been through, and it’s great overlooking the sea. The buffet was ok, some food were not that good in our opinion, however the breakfast french toast was really yummy. Due to a large crowd during autumn, it wasn’t that comfortable sitting in. The service is decent they helped us to book the bus to get back to Sapporo. Overrall a great stay.

We had a great stay in Toya! The hotel is conveniently located near both the bus station and the train station, which made traveling very easy. The location is definitely one of its best features. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Just a heads up — there is no private bath in the room, so be prepared to use the public bath/onsen. But honestly, the onsen was very good and relaxing, so it was a great experience. Getting a taxi early in the morning (before 7 AM) can be quite difficult in Toya, so it’s better to arrange your taxi the night before. A taxi from the station to the hotel costs around 2,000–3,000 yen. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing, and convenient place to stay!

After seeing so many negative reviews, I was a bit hesitant about booking Lakeside Pavilion, but my actual experience was surprisingly good. First, the service was warm and proactive; I didn't encounter any of the alleged discrimination against Chinese guests. Second, the rooftop onsen was excellent, and the room had a great view. Even though there was a bed, we asked for three futons to be laid out, which was very comfortable. As for outdated facilities, you barely use the in-room bathing facilities at an onsen hotel anyway. While dinner and breakfast weren't exceptionally refined, there was a wide variety of options, so you're sure to find something delicious. I'm very satisfied with my choice this time.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Moiwa and Annupuri ski resorts, with a handy shuttle service. The scenery is beautiful, breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are incredibly spacious, with the option to self-cater. There's also a large public bath and massage room on the 3rd floor, and ski lockers, washing machines, and dryers on the 1st floor – excellent facilities all around. The staff are friendly, and there's even Chinese-speaking staff available. The only downside is a sewer smell, which seems to permeate the entire hotel.
