Great
BBern~After booking the hotel on Ctrip, I made sure to reserve the shuttle bus from Sapporo Station to the hotel half a month in advance by filling out a form on their official website. The bus departed from the designated parking area outside Sapporo Station North Exit at 1:30 PM, reaching the hotel around 4:00 PM. If you sit on the right side of the bus, you get a close-up view of Mount Yotei midway through the ride.
Upon check-in, I managed to book a private onsen for 6 PM and dinner for after 7 PM on the spot. After dinner, around 8 PM, we took a short walk to the lake to catch the 8:45 PM fireworks show. The whole evening flowed perfectly! The next day, payment for the private onsen and shuttle bus was conveniently handled at a machine during check-out. At 10:15 AM, we took the hotel shuttle to New Chitose Airport, arriving at the domestic terminal around 12:30 PM. Sitting on the left side of the bus offers a close-up view of Lake Shikotsu en route.
Since it wasn't crowded at the end of August, we were able to book the return shuttle and a private onsen on the spot at the front desk. However, it's generally safer to book these in advance. Current prices are: the hotel shuttle from Sapporo Station to No Kaze is 1000 JPY per person, and from No Kaze to New Chitose Airport is 1500 JPY per person. The private onsen costs 4400 JPY for 50 minutes.
Overall, it was a perfect short getaway!
GGuest UserThis was my third stay at The Maples, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. This time I came with just my boyfriend instead of with family, so handled most of the logistics myself. I really relied on help from the staff and The Maples, before, during and after my trip! Even a month before my trip, I got a lot of help with transportations, ski passes etc through emailing with the staff, who were always so prompt to reply and very friendly. During my stay, they also helped me a lot with dinner reservations etc. Every request or question I had was met with a friendly smile.
Of course, I enjoyed the location again immensely. It was great to be able to walk to many of the stores and restaurants, and to also ski in and out. This time I also rented a car and parking at the Maples was always available and easy.
The hotel was always bright and clean. My onlyyyy complaint if I had to mention was that my room did not have black out curtains... so I was woken up pretty early every morning by the natural sunlight!! But, this actually helped me to get up there on the slopes bright and early, so a perk after all!
SSze ManThe hotel is new and clean, with stunning views and a private onsen. With sweeping views of Lake Toya, the experience is first-rate, and the service is truly homely. The hotel is located near Lake Toya, and in September, the Toyako Long Run Fireworks Display takes place just a few minutes away. You can also experience the floating fireworks display, which lasts approximately 20 minutes. Daytime water activities are also available at your own expense, which is truly exciting!
The hotel's meals utilize seasonal Hokkaido ingredients, and each dish is beautifully presented and satisfying. There's also a game room, perfect for a nostalgic getaway.
Overall, the experience was excellent value for money, and I'm glad I chose this hotel. I originally booked a hotel with a room to view the fireworks, but changed my mind based on the amenities and dining options. It was a wise decision.
BBbbcccVery good hotel
Whether it isservice, hardware, or accessories, they are all first-class
The front desk will provide a WhatsApp phone number when you check in.
Convenient for all arrangements during guests' stay, including arranging car pick-up, changing towels, making appointments for cleaning, etc.
We booked a three-bedroom room with three toilets, so the family members don’t have to queue up in the morning. The room faces Mount Yotei, which is great for taking photos.
The breakfast is average, nothing too surprising. It is included in the room rate, so there is not much to ask for. . If you have high requirements for breakfast, you can buy the ingredients and cook it yourself at the hotel.
The only thing that is relatively inferior is the kitchen equipment. There is no hot pot equipment, but the microwave and steam oven are Miele, which are very easy to use and convenient. It can be seen that the hotel's management team is willing to spend money on hardware.
The most commendable thing is the service. Since the hotel is relatively far from the ski resort, it is very convenient to call a taxi to and from the ski resort every time. You only need to notify us 5 to 10 minutes in advance.
This is a hotel I will definitely stay at next time I come to Niseko.
Thanks intuition team again🥰
__WeChat386814****Stayed for six nights. The room was very clean. The service attitude was very good.
Dinner was a traditional Japanese set meal. The ingredients were fresh and healthy. My wife was pregnant and couldn't eat raw food, so the menu was changed. I was allergic to seafood later, so the menu was also changed. One day I missed dinner and went to Annupuri North for a buffet. I felt that the ingredients were not as fresh as this hotel. Maybe because of the buffet, the taste was also heavy.
There were not many things for breakfast, but the cakes were amazing. I felt that they could be comparable to some dessert shops. There were several kinds of cakes.
The hot spring scenery was good, there was an outdoor hot spring in the middle of the forest, the atmosphere was very good, and there was a lounge with massage chairs, drinks and so on.
Then the room was praised for two large pots of water every day.
The room is estimated to be about 30 square meters, and it doesn't feel like the 19 square meters mentioned on Ctrip.
It takes 5 minutes to ski to Annupuri. Annupuri ski resort is relatively small but less crowded. Every day, we go to the top and then ski to Hirafu. One day, the windy cable car did not reach the top, so we could only ski in Annupuri, unless we took a bus to go there. Please pay attention to this.
Overall good reviews, I will continue to choose next time.
KKelsie MunroExcellent service from check in to check out by the wonderful staff at Chatrium Niseko. They were always there if we needed anything and helped organise transfers to and from the airport via taxi. We were a few minutes walk to the Ace family chairlift where we could then explore around snowboarding and using multiple gondolas and lifts from there. Lots of food trucks and convenience stores on the way back to the hotel which was super convenient. Arigato for a wonderful experience!
HHattie H ² ⁰ ² ²Due to a miscalculation of our travel time, the drive from the airport took about 2 hours, and it was already dark by the time we reached the hotel. We had originally booked a mountain-view Japanese-style room, but upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find we'd been upgraded to a lake-view Japanese-style room. The moment we stepped into the room, we were treated to a view of fireworks – absolutely stunning! The room perfectly matched my preferred Japanese style, and sleeping on the tatami mats was exceptionally comfortable.
Our stay included both dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately, we arrived quite late, so it was already past the last order time for dinner, and we only managed a few quick bites. However, the breakfast the next morning was incredibly lavish. Most of the dishes were Japanese-style, and the restaurant, overlooking the lake, offered beautiful views while we dined.
The hotel's onsen (hot springs) were truly superb and showed great thoughtfulness. I appreciated that the open-air baths for men and women swapped locations between the evening and morning, ensuring all guests could enjoy different scenic views during their soak.
After our evening soak, we put on the hotel's yukata (robes) and took a stroll outside. The lake was just a short walk away. It was a fantastic way to experience Japanese culture!
PPYN22One of the more affordable onsen hotel along the lake. Small on price but definitely did not compromise on comfort and quality. Dated building but the bed and room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast buffet was full of options and delicision
I stayed in a single room facing the mountain. Even though it was along the road, it was not noisy.
Simple onsen, perfect for the cold weather
Just outside the bus stop.
The free fireworks displayed right in front of the hotel.
One minus... Like many older onsen hotels in Japan, the carpets are dusty. It triggered my sneezing and I don't usually get allergic with dust!
GGuest UserHinzan was amazing for our ski vacation in Niseko! The location is super central, but they also have a shuttle that can take you to the lifts and around Hirafu so you don't have to walk with your gear. There were ski lockers and a room in the lobby with boot warmers. The in-room washer/dryer was also very convenient.
While the front desk times were limited, they were very flexible about arranging for staff to stay late/come early for check in and check out. All the staff were amazing, going out of their way to make sure we had a good stay!
Would definitely stay here again!
