Guest UserWe had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Pampines Villa. The villa we stayed in huge with 3 beds on the 3rd floor, 2 beds on the second and 8 bunk beds on the 1st floor. It was airy and at the same time, warm enough at night to be comfortable despite the cold weather. Breakfast was really good at the L'amonia Cafe and Desserts. Service was excellent - responsive and unobtrusive. We will stay there again when we next visit Kundasang. The place is well-patronised and deserving of its popularity.

Munirah_lahThe place is such a dream! So beautiful & very relaxing, away from the bustling city. Just that the resort itself is a distance away from the restaurant. Definitely need your own transportation. But the staff are so helpful especially Mr Lee. He takes care of us very well. He helps to send us to & fro to the restaurant during our breakfast session. He even helps to decorate our room to suprise my husband for his birthday celebration.

Xuan NiThe road to the place is a little shaky but all worth it for the excellent view. In the morning got to see the whole mount KK in front of us, really amazing view.
The people hosting were super nice and friendly, they have a restaurant and small mart at the reception area, even a water dispenser.
There were 2 rooms with big bed and another with bunk beds that can fit 4. You can also ask for Wifi router and Mahjong to rent. Overall good experience, would visit again!

Anonymous UserIt was a beautiful stay. The view in the morning was amazing and there’s even a viewpoint for you to watch the sunrise over Mount Kinabalu. The only thing is that since it’s in nature, you need to drive out to get food. There’s a cafe in the premises but it was closed for renovations unfortunately. Also, there are a few stray dogs that don’t bother us, but we need to keep our shoes indoors or else these playful babies would take them and run. Otherwise, everything is great.

JoanneChong_I chose to stay here because of the scenery. The views are great, and the sunrises are beautiful. However, the cleanliness really needs attention; my room had a lot of ants and flying insects. The bed frame was also very old; it creaked every time I turned over.

Guest UserOverall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay.
Pros:
Easy check-in, with a receptionist available.
Great location, only about a 5-minute walk to Bataras Supermarket, with Uncle Bob and Aicha in the same row, making it very convenient for food and daily necessities.
Although it is close to the supermarket and shops, the area was surprisingly quiet at night.
No bad smells in the house or around the toilets.
The view is pretty good and better than expected.
I requested a ground-floor unit because we had an older guest with us, and they kindly arranged a ground-floor unit for us. Really appreciated this.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The floors and kitchen were clean.
The kitchen utensils were also clean, which was a big plus. Many guesthouses have clean rooms but dirty kitchen utensils, so I really appreciated this.
The place is spacious and suitable for a big group.
Cons:
The bidet spray/water pressure was a little too strong, and some of the pipes were leaking.
One of the toilets became clogged on the second day.
There is a small graveyard nearby, but personally, it was not an issue for us at all.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and felt comfortable throughout. The convenient location, cleanliness, helpful staff, and spacious layout made this a great choice, especially for a big group. We definitely would love to stay here again!

Anonymous UserThe location is quite convenient, and there is ample free parking available. The outdoor environment is pleasant, well-maintained, and clean, making it a nice place to relax. There is also a BBQ pit provided, although guests need to bring their own utensils and ingredients.
One downside is that there is no refrigerator in the room. The bed makes some slight noise, but it is still acceptable for a short stay. The room also comes with a small balcony, which is great for enjoying the night view.
Check-in and check-out are quick and hassle-free. An ironing board is available at the reception area, and a hairdryer can be borrowed upon request.
Overall, considering the price, it offers very good value for money.

Guest UserThe view of Mt Kinabalu from our room was spectacular. The hotel service is good, hotel staff allowed us to check in early. However, that’s pretty much it. The hotel toilet is quite dirty, water in the shower and sink is brownish/ yellowish, and the whole hotel feels very dated and stuck in the 1990s. The road condition towards the hotel is horrendous, in fact the road condition in most parts of Kundasang is terrible. The government really needs to do something about boosting its tourism economy. It is such a beautiful state, it’s a shame that not much love has been given by the government to make it more tourist friendly.

Guest UserAll good! We chose a room with plenty of single beds. There were 5 beds, haha, perfect for families, friends, or even a honeymoon. The room was really spacious too. Just a heads-up about the water heater, you can't adjust the temperature; the water gets super hot! You have to mix in cold water to get it lukewarm. Overall, it was great. There's a kettle and a water dispenser right outside the room door. And the views? Right at Mount Kinabalu itself!
