Eastern Grand Palace

Big hotel, lots of common areas, close to Sukhumvit, just a short walk into Soi Khao Talo, there is a 7-Eleven in front of the hotel, very convenient.

We went to the fireworks festival in Central Pattaya. Booked a room at a rather high price but got a discount on coins. We think there are many ways to get to and from the hotel. The bad thing is that the GPS took us to the other side of the road with traffic jams. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes from the entrance of the alley to the hotel. Oh my god. Walked from Bangkok at 10:30 and arrived at the hotel at 16:30. Slept for a bit. Woke up at 20:30 and almost missed the fireworks. Took a motorcycle taxi from the hotel to the beach. 2 people, my boyfriend and I. The first taxi from the hotel to the beach was 50 baht per person, then 100 baht per person. We had to take another motorcycle taxi to the beach, then 50 baht per person, then 100 baht per person. The peak price was doubled, then 200 baht per person, then 400 baht per person. To see the fireworks, took a motorcycle taxi round trip for 600 baht for 2 people. It's a festival, so we had to accept it. We went back to the room at midnight. In the morning, we went out of the room to have breakfast. We chose breakfast from the hotel. There was a lot of food and a variety. We were okay with it. My boyfriend didn't like it that much. But we met a Chinese tour group. In this tip, I have to say that it is extremely bad. They have no manners, do not know how to queue, cut in line, talk loudly, are rude, and dirty. We were waiting for the elevator to open. They cut in line and squeezed into the elevator and hit us, and they acted like they did not know or care. They swam in the pool and went up the elevator. The elevator was wet and slippery. They sat and dragged chairs to block the public walkway. It was really bad. As for the hotel, we went at the end of the month. There was a little bit of trouble. The counter staff rushed to check the reservation for us. But a male staff member complained quietly that he was working on the information, so why didn't he go to another counter? We gave him a soft look. He rushed to do it for us as usual. I recommend not talking and rushing to facilitate customers. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside. Overall, it is good.

It so happened that I had to stay for one more day. Without hesitation I chose this hotel again.

I like that the hotel is surrounded by nature. You can walk around. It's like a place to relax and unwind on a holiday like this.
