Blue Osa Beach Resort & Spa

I love being at Blue Osa! This was my third trip. The jungle gardens are beautiful. Lots of birds to see. I swam in the pool every day, walked on the beach, and practiced yoga. The food is fresh and delicious. I can not say enough about Aaron (the owner) and the people who work there. They are helpful, gracious, and kind.

I have just returned from two weeks at Blue Osa for yoga teacher training. It is a beautiful resort with a friendly, attentive staff. The delicious food was farm to table with a wide variety of flavors. You can go on tours, go to the spa, or just take your own time reflecting as you watch the sun rise or set. There is the ocean to enjoy, by walking on the beach, taking a dip, or just sitting and watching the waves. Of course, there is yoga in a raised open yoga room overlooking the lush grounds of Blue Osa with the ocean in the backdrop as you develop your own practice and learn tons from Yogi Aaron. All in all, a wonderful resort to refresh, reset and walk away feeling relaxed and more at peace. Blue Osa is a special place with special people that touch your heart with their gracious hospitality.

I attended a 2 week Yoga Teacher Training at Blue Osa in May 2024. If you want a truly immersive experience this is a great option! They have excellent on-line materials and videos that prepare you for an intensive 2 week training on site. The mornings start early with meditation at 5am, but the practices are energizing and meaningful. I learned so much and felt the secluded, beautiful and peaceful setting added to my experience. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, although only a limited number offer air conditioning at an additional charge. (please plan early!) The food is fresh, primarily vegetarian and delicious. Wifi is best near the central dining area, but this is a great place to unplug. Not easy to get to, but worth the journey! Namaste 🙏

My fiance and I just returned from a 200 hour yoga teacher training at Blue Osa. I stumbled upon the website when looking for yoga teacher training sites in Costa Rica and am so grateful that I found blue Osa! Yogi Aaron is an incredible instructor and human being! He epitomizes all that is yoga and we learned so much in the two weeks we spent with him. Blue Osa is located on the Puerto Jimenez peninsula of Costa Rica and is situated between jungle and ocean. It is a very remote location though several participants took the shuttle ~30 min into town during our lunch breaks a couple of times. Otherwise there are no stores or shops around other than a little gift shop within the resort that is open every other day for about an hour. (I.e. really try to bring everything you need with you). It was such an incredible location to participate in this immersive teaching experience! Every morning during silent time we would go watch the sunrise before morning meditation and take a walk on the beach after morning meditation before breakfast. The room we had was one of the just two or three air conditioned rooms, and I would definitely recommend this since it was quite hot and humid the entire time we were there. It definitely made sleeping much more comfortable. The food was vegan based but they had eggs each morning and chicken several nights a week. The food was incredible, and locally source from their own garden. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They had Wi-Fi in the main Cocina though it was turned off during meal time to promote social interactions between the guests.. It was so great to get off grid for the most part for the two weeks. I would highly recommend a trip to Blue Osa if you want to get away from everything and be surrounded by the beauty of nature, with monkeys howling outside your windows each morning, fabulous food and even more so if you want to immerse in a fantastic yoga teacher training experience. Just bring a lot of bug spray 🌞

This place is a piece of paradise. The staff, the rooms, the ocean, the wildlife (we saw monkeys with babies, iguanas with babies, any Easter, macaws and a whole host of other birds), the grounds, the yoga, the meditation, the food (ah!!! The healthy fresh food)… and the spa services (you must try the spa services!!) … all amazing. There are a few rules that you’ll need to adjust to - silent time until 7:30am. No paper products in the toilet. No blow dryers or curling irons. Limit water usage. It’s an eco resort utilizing solar power so your adjustments are well worth the reward.

This trip was amazing! Everyone at Blue Osa is exceptional. I went for a yoga retreat and had the most serene, peaceful week. The grounds are beautiful. The employees are wonderful. My spa experience was enjoyable. The transportation to and from the resort was flawless as well. The food was amazing. Overall, 5/5 stars!

The blue osa staff was simply incredible. They provided so much magic to my trip. From their knowledge, anticipation of every need, and just kind hearts they really did make the trip something I will remember forever. Accommodations of food and transportation were truly unmatched by any other vacation iv been on. I opted for the air conditioned room and regret nothing. It was spacious, clean and refreshing to say the least. Costa Rica has been a hot destination for the last year but the OSA peninsula specifically is a true gem. Thank you to Henry and Britchell, and Alex specifically for all your love. I truly hope to be back some day!

My friend & I went to Blue Osa on a week long yoga retreat during his spring break. The whole experience was amazing. The staff was so friendly and attentive, the food absolutely delicious, and the place perfect! The staff keeps the rooms and the grounds immaculate. Blue Osa has an amazing view of the ocean while also in the jungle: monkeys, birds, iguanas, coati were all in view of the property. They rescued 4 dogs who were so affectionate (amazing with what the dogs went through) and very well behaved. If you are heading to CR and the OSA peninsula, I highly recommend Blue Osa. Blue OSA has heart and soul.

Blue OSA was magical, the rooms, the grounds, the ocean, the birds, the staff and of course the yoga. Would recommend this retreat to everyone relaxing yet invigorating. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were great, the sound of monkeys was lovely.
