Crown Inn

Although it was just for one night, we really enjoyed our stay at the Crown Inn. It is located in an old part of Goldsithney, Penzance where old stone buildings flank narrow streets. Parking is on the street, but we had no trouble finding a spot near the Inn. Rooms are located on the second floor, with the pub, dining room and kitchen occupying the first floor. The pub was crowded and full of local flavor when we had a drink before retiring. The staff was working very hard to keep their patrons well supplied with food and drink. Our room was quite nice and although located just above the pub, we were not disturbed by noise from below since the pub closes early when there are guests. The English Breakfast we were served the next day was the best of our trip.

Great stay for a variety of reasons. Appreciated the call during the day before I checked in, asking me if I wanted to book for dinner as space was limited. Check-in was friendly and easy - handled by nice chap at the bar. Room was modern, nicely decorated, good amenities, comfortable and clean. If there is a small grumble, it would be that the water pressure in the shower could have been better. But was still fine. Dinner and breakfast in the pub area was lovely - friendly and quick service and good quality food using local ingredients. Would recommend, and will stay here again.

Super friendly service from all the team. Very good choice of breakfasts and bedroom was big and decorated very well. Shower was just adequate. Found a space right outside and was even asked if I need help with our bags by the staff outside. Definitely stay again. Thank you.

We stayed here in March during a trip around Cornwall. The Crown Inn was a great location to get about and explore some of the lovely places nearby and easy to drive to St.Ives. We had a wonderful stay here - the rooms were really nicely done and beds super comfortable. The staff made us feel so welcome and were so nice. We ate here during our stay and the food was delicious, especially the Steak & Ale pie! Would definitely recommend the Crown Inn and will be back ourselves to see more of the area.

We loved our stay at this Inn. The room was lovely - very updated, clean and comfortable. We ate dinner both nights at the pub and the food was delicious. The a**osphere was fun and lively. Breakfast each morning was cooked to order and also delicious. Full English breakfast or healthy options of cereals and nuts, etc. The owner, Derek, was incredibly gracious and helpful with ideas for visiting special spots in Cornwall. We had a fabulous time in Cornwall and only wish we had more than three days to visit. Would definitely recommend the Crown Inn and would stay there again ourselves.

The room is very nice, comfortable and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We loved the English breakfast. Highly recommended.

Recently refurbished room, very comfortable. Hosts were particularly helpful and friendly. Dinner was excellent and English breakfast was great, more than we could eat.
