Booked with Tui. £1499. 2 adults, 1 child. Self catering 7 nights 1 bedroom apartment. All inclusive not an option, nor swim up room when booked. Arrived early hours as flight was delayed. Checked in by security guard, who took our passports (which I'm never very happy about). I asked where we could get bottles of water from & he kindly gave us two bottles. There is no Air Con in the rooms, only ceiling fans. You can rent air con units for around €15 per day. We just about coped without one, left all windows open at night to let a breeze through, some nights slightly better than others. Apartments are in low rise blocks, ground floor then stairs to the first floor. We were first floor, with side view of the pool area. It was quiet with nice palm trees around. Our balcony was a good size with two loungers, a table, chairs & umbrella. It got the sun nearly all day. The apartment was basic but clean & tidy. Good wardrobe space & hangers provided. Kitchen area consists of fridge freezer, two cooking rings, toaster, kettle, pots & pans. Small breakfast bar with seats. Living area was sofa bed, coffee table & flat screen TV with several English channels. Bathroom had shower, no bath. It was clean & shower was good. Safe cost €20, with €10 refunded when you return the key. Rooms are accessed via a old fashioned key, although looks like a few have been upgraded to key card/fob. Our room was cleaned almost daily. Pool towels can be hired for refundable €10 each. Although annoyingly it costs €3 per towel if you want a clean one!! Needless to say we didn't bother. There is a launderette on site though, which was good feature. Most of the hotel grounds are well maintained, clean, tidy & pretty with stunning views over Puerto rico & down towards the sea. However the decking area where most of the loungers are, could do with a really good deep clean though, it was sticky in places due to what we assume is spilt fizzy drinks & it became filthy once wet. Surprisingly sunbed wars wasn't as bad as we thought it would be, especially with it being school holidays. Some were "reserved" early doors, but we still managed to find some even at 10:30, which was a pleasant surprise. We heard a few people complaining to the lifeguard & staff about people "reserving" beds & not actually using them, but not sure they did anything about it. We had a quick look at the swim up rooms from afar & they looked nice, but thinking about it you lose the privacy of your own balcony with people swimming up & down, so not sure if I'd like that or not. Don't forget about the sun terrace, it's adults only, but makes a great escape away from children if you want a bit of quiet time.  It's hot up there but umbrella shades are available. Food wise, we could have upgraded to B&B, Half Board or A/I once we arrived (A/I was €37 adult & €18.50 per day). But we decided to keep things flexible & just paid as we went. We ate breakfast at the hotel 3 times. It was €

Wow. Where to start Not usually one to write reviews but Eden Apartments is honestly the best holiday we have ever had and wanted to reassure anyone who is due to go that they won’t be disappointed. We are a family of 4 - 2 boys aged 15 and 12 and stayed in a 2 bedroom swim up room with garden view. (Room 43) Accommodation Spotless - cleaned daily. Towels changed every other day. Decent size. Everything you need. Modern. Large terrace. Swim Up pools maintained well. Only issue as with most of the reviews is lack of air con. Wr hired a unit - it did not cool the whole apartment so would recommend 1 unit per bedroom. Inflatables allowed in swim up pool Food We were all inclusive Different themes every day: something for everyone. A lot of choice and variety. Drinks and ice cream from 11am - 11pm (slushes included in all inclusive) No complaints from my teenagers. Pool 1 large pool separated into 2 by a bridge. Lifeguards rule’s differ from day to day. No inflatables allowed at anytime but depending on the lifeguard you could play with balls and water guns (most allowed this) No sunbed wars - yes some people got up early to get sunbed but normally some available for most of the day. They are close to each other but didn’t cause us any problems. Pool area clean and tidy. Can get slippy at times. Outside company visit on a Thursday with big pool inflatable course - 5 euro per child for the hour. Entertainment Wow wow wow - I don’t even know where to begin. Becki and Prasanna are both worth their weight in gold and more. They honestly play such a huge part of the Eden experience. They include all guests old and young. Day time activities and evening entertainment. Cash bingo every day at 4. They have patience of a saints and clearly enjoy what they do. (Becki - up the villa) The kids all adore them. Overall hotel Beautiful - so pretty. It’s apartments all outdoors not a big high rise hotel. Really clean. All the staff are so polite and helpful. A really pleasure to be around. 2 minute walk to europa centre and we walked the 700plus steps down to Puerto Rico which wasn’t as bad as it sounds and had amazing views (took a taxi back up). It is a relatively small place which we actually really enjoyed as you get to know other guests and there is no queuing for food and isn’t over run with noise. Honestly cannot recommend Eden Apartments enough - my boys both want to go back next year. Thank you Eden for the most amazing holiday. We will see you soon

Okay here goes ….Just back from Eden (post Servitor takeover) And the following is my opinion. Been a regular here for 20 years and almost every year we have seen improvement after improvement in the amenities and standards (Always said the Eden should be 4 star) However Servitor and TUI have combined to change my view Food No theme nights so it is quite repetitive (still fair choice) They must have over ordered the peppercorn sauce as it was out every lunch and dinner,One night they had roast beef and spouts but no potatoes of any description (except chips) Also very little food labels so guests had to ask the kitchen staff repeatedly what was the dishes who some of the kitchen staff didn’t even know ( or understand the question) On one occasion someone asked what is that? Only for a member of the bar staff had to stick a ladel into the pot before they could answer the question .We ended up eating out a few nights and that I can tell you is the first time we have done so staying at the Eden. We ask the TUI rep about the food labels who promised to investigate but was a waste of time as TUi rep failed get back to us Staff Miguel at breakfast was very welcoming as usual and is a credit to his dad and the hotel However quite clearly Katie looked like she didn’t want to be there and had no interest or interaction with the guests amd even roped the entertainer guy into some dining room chores at lunch time! this was more evident when Miguel was on rest day when Katie just watched the other girl ( no mame badge ) do all the grafting. Michel was also great with the guests but doesn’t seem to put in the hours like he used to (good for him) But in his absence the standards slip massively (tables from previous diners/ drinkers left uncleared ect) its not clear if anyone in charge in his absence? The two young lads hadnt a clue on how to make up drinks and insisted we take plastic cups (self service) into dinning area for evening meal..I pointed out I wanted glass and one of the lads then pushed the plastic cups towards me ( I eventually won that battle) This was also reported to Tui rep who again promised to investigate and to provide feedback .TUI rep not interested (Never felt the need to go to a rep in my life before) Lifeguard reprimanded kids for taking crockery poolside ( quite rightly) but turns blind eye to Scandinavian folk taking beer glasses and wine glasses to poolside! Entertainer our 8th night we were asked if we had just arrived! Despite taking part in the quiz every night .Only show football on the screens when it was Scandinavian England teams involved .Got told to go to Europa Centre to watch Scotland Entertainment was okay but all the singing acts always seem to feel obligated to finish the axta with abba songs! Despite having an Abba night! even Chris Mooney .One can only have so much of Abba. Finding it hard to be critical as I find it sad to right anything negative about the Eden however in my opinion this H

So, my husband and I are here currently on day 5 of ten. When we arrived shortly before 8pm we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who went through everything with us. When we got to our room (109) we were impressed with the size and the cleanliness was spot on. We were lucky getting that room as it has side view of the sea and gets the sun on thr terrace literally all day. The views are simply amazing from this room and also for the adult only solarium, which is where we have spent most of our time. We went for some food and then headed out for a few drinks. The following day we headed out to the pool area, which again is an impressive size and immaculately clean. So far so good. Then comes the buffett restaurant....although the food is plentiful and you have a great choice, due to the location of the restaurant being close to the pool and in the open the food is barely luke warm and there are lots of flies around. This is what has made our score a 4/5. Would we return? Yes, but only on a self catering basis due to the food situation.

My friend and I stayed at Eden Apartments in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. Firstly, upon our arrival, we were waiting for more than 40 minutes just to checkin. There were 2 families in front of us so what a long wait, when 2 people at the desk would have made the whole process quicker. Secondly, our whole purpose for the trip was to be away for Xmas and what a disappointing vegetarian Xmas meal. We were HB and were asked to book a table for Christmas eve but there was not a vege food choice available. The manager said he had something but on the day, I was shocked to be given mock ??meatballs with mashed potatoes. Due to lack of places to sit, we shared our table with a couple from Dublin. He tasted our mock meatballs and told us they were definitely not vegetarian. We did not eat any food for Xmas. The next day the buffet food had only pizza, salad and chips which is what we had on the other nights. So, if going HB or fully inclusive at this place, know that there is very limited food options for vegetarians. On the plus side, the Apartments are decent size, has a good kitchenette, pool looks inviting but the water was freezing cold and not heated as suggested. The location to the Puerto beach and Amadores beach is 45 minutes walk down as Eden is right at the top. Europa Centre is on the doorstep so a quick bite to eat around there is possible. Weather wise it was very warm when the sun was not playing hide and seek.
