While the pool was amazing, and the hotel's proximity to a small beach was fantastic, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor customer service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the elderly manager, who, while not rude, seemed disengaged, distracted, unhelpful and very uncommunicative. Our room felt unwelcoming—very sparse and uncomfortable, more like a boarding house than a hotel. The breakfast the next morning was equally disappointing, with stale mini croissants and only a small selection of food. To make matters worse, the manager sat in the dining area during breakfast, staring at guests, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. Despite the lovely location and the potential for this hotel to be great, we felt so uncomfortable as a family of four that we left after breakfast and stayed elsewhere. This is the only time in Greece that we had to change accommodation. Otherwise, Finikounda is a really beautiful, interesting town and close to Methoni.

Beautiful location on a virtually private beach. 10 minute walk into Finokounda with a steep slope/ 42 stairs when coming back. Clean rooms, good size, a little tired. Fantastic pool area - plenty of sun loungers. Reasonable prices at pool bar. Friendly and helpful staff.

Die zwei Punkte gibt es nur für die Lage. Der Rest ist zum vergessen. Die Einrichtung ist sanierungsbedürftig. Der Chef nicht kundenfreundlich. Das Frühstück ist dürftig. Und zu guter Letzt ist der verlangte Preis für die Zimmer eindeutig zu hoch. Der Pool ist in Ordnung, die Bar und das Personal beim Pool auch.

Das Hotel golden Sun ist ein familiär geführtes Hotel. Die Eigentümer distanziert, aber freundlich. Alles da, was man braucht. Sehr gute Versorgung mit Getränken und Essen an der Poolbar, auch abends. Der Pool ist groß und von den Kindern gerne genutzt. Der Strand, sehr schön und ruhig.In den Ort Finikounda ist der Fußweg (für Ältere) eher beschwerlich, bergauf, bergab über Treppen. Leihauto wird empfohlen. Bei meinem Aufenthalt im August 2024 war wenig Wind. Wahrscheinlich unterschiedlich nach Wetterlage. Finikounda Ort ist eher sehr belebt und laut.

Het hotel ligt prachtig aan het strand het zwembad is ook mooi. Naast het strandje ligt een hip strand tentje dat is echt top. Lopen naar het dorpje kan maar wel via een stijle rotswand.. voor ons ok maar niet voor iedereen. Hotel is echt echt echt oud en zeker aan vervanging toe. Kamer was echt heel erg basic oud, geen schilderij aan de muur tl verlichting, kapotte wc en viezig douche gordijn. Slapen en snel weer weg wezen dus. Ontbijt is om over te slaan, bijna niks. Wij samen altijd het bakje yoghurt met honing en namen zelf muslie mee uit de supermarkt. Dus prachtige lokatie aan het strand fijn zwembad. Hotel wordt je niet blij van en geeft je geen vakantie vibes dus ben hier voor gewaarschuwd om terleurstelling te voorkomen

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία, μεγάλο συγκρότημα, καθαρό άνετο δωμάτιο, απίστευτο στρώμα στο διπλό κρεββάτι, φιλικό προσωπικό!!!!Η πισίνα πεντακάθαρη και πολύ ωραία διαμορφωμένη...Αξιζει για οικογενειακές διακοπες!!!Θα το επισκεφτουμε ξανά σίγουρα!!!!!
