Down a closed street about 2 kilometers from any metro station this "bed and breakfast " with no name on any doorbell failed to deliver on its promise. WE had anticipated a 4 star "luxury" experience and got bare minimums with much missing. First there is no way from the front of the locked door to know that Aurora 31 Suites is there. Our driver persisted and pushed "Maison Aurora" doorbell( one of 18 private doorbells) to get a remote release to open the door. No signs anywhere to know where to go in the dimly lit hall. Making some noise, a kind man alerted the "manager " we were there .She understands and speaks no English. She rushed around to let us into our "suite". Yes sleeps 3. Then came the missing promises: no air conditioning in 90 degree Rome; no bath amenities of shampoo, conditioner, facial tissue; no USB ports and wifi only worked near the transceiver and not in full suite; no microwave; no soda and minibar as promised. Breakfast for three days was cellophane wrapped stored biscuits, croissants and dingdongs Chocolate wrapped deserts good into 2024. Nexpresso machine with 3 pods for 3 days for 2 persons did not work, leaking water. Not an Italian breakfast as stated in *********** writeup. WE bought our breakfast elsewhere because Aurora 31 failed to provide a decent working breakfast. All we needed was fresh rolls and coffee. Not stored junk. . No daily cleaning service but every 3 days despite *********** statement . That in room statement had erased most of the sentence to say there was English speaking assistance. We looked for the promised amenities on that statement and found most missing. Yes there was a washing machine and hair dryer, broken toaster, small electric oven , refrigerator, heating pot for tea, broken Nexpresso, The distance to metro became difficult as it is up hill to Spagna 2 killometers and uphill from Berberino 2 kilometers. Via Veneto is about 500 yds away, not 968 feet as in description. Buses on Via Veneto are over 1000 yards away. No parking anywhere near this place. When we sought the manager's help at 9AM for no air conditioning our first morning , she came after 5 minutes of ringing in her hot pants and skinny top lingerie from sleeping. she was irate. She did not understand English and waved us away about asking for air conditioning. She acted like we asked for hot water and showed us how to turn that on. She denied air conditioning was there although we saw ( and pointed to) a unit outside the open window. WE had to open the windows to get cross ventilation to stop sweating in our "suite". One noisy fan for a three room suite. No luxury. Safety was a concern as no telephone in room , no service person available , no visible fire alarms and no sprinklers. WE felt isolated in a apar**ent on a closed street with no rescue in emergency. There is no daily service but the manager entered our unit daily removing our DC converters and turning the refrigerator down so
