La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon

Fantastic location 1 min walk to Pantheon. The room was a great size for two adults and a child and was very clean. Dennis on the front desk was extremely helpful. As other reviews have noted street noise was an issue. Mould in the bathroom was also a concern.

This hotel is conveniently located almost right across from the Pantheon and Piazza de la Rotunda, and the room was fairly large and gave our family of four room to spread out. Unfortunately, being that close to a huge tourist attraction and a public hangout area has its downsides, and we had a significant amount of trouble sleeping at night due to the noise coming from the plaza. We expected some noise given the location, but it was quite a bit worse than we expected, perhaps because it was Easter week and there were a lot more people on vacation than usual. The sound from people hanging out in the plaza at late hours went right through the closed windows and into our room. I wore earplugs but still had my sleep interrupted a few times per night by people talking/yelling. I am admittedly a light sleeper, but by wife and kids are not and they had the same complaints. I see a couple complaints about noise in the reviews but not that many, so maybe we got unlucky and just happened to get a couple of loud nights. If you remove the noise issues, it was a reasonably good stay, so I feel a little bad about giving an "average" review. That said, I will definitely pick a different hotel next time I'm staying in Rome.

We enjoyed our two night stay at La Residenza! The room was very spacious, and perfect for a family of four. It was great to have a king bed plus two twins - the kids loved having their own space. The air conditioning worked well which was a plus too. The location was perfect for exploring Rome. The Pantheon is just around the corner and a lovely place to hang out at night with a gelato. The Trevi Fountain is a very short walk too.

Steps away from Pantheon, this spacious lodging helped make our trip a great experience. Plenty of trattorias and gelato stores at walking distance. There is a Carrefour Express store about a block away for sundries and snacks. All very convenient. The suite was clean and beds were made daily. Wi-fi was ok with the computer, but not so good with cellphones. The reception of the hotel is located at a separate building.

We did not enjoy our stay here and would not recommend it, we stayed for 2 nights. We booked 1 large room, which had 1 double bed and 2 singles, the beds were clean, furnishings shabby, no kettle, I socket was hanging off the wall. No English channels on tv. it was difficult to sleep because of the noise. The bathroom was the worst, mould on the walls of the shower, tiles dirty. I complained to Dennis, he agreed that the shower was bad and had it cleaned, not to my standard but certainly better than it was. We were given 3 keys, one for the main door and 2 for the inside of the building, we found it a nuisance fiddling around with these keys. the breakfast room was tiny, food was ok. We paid 350 euro for a 2 night stay in February, we could have stayed in a 3 star hotel in the same area for less. Dennis was pleasant.

We would definetely return and recomed it to anybody wanting to stay in Rome in a very good central position. Very good breakfast, very friendly staff and confortable rooms. Really welcoming. Good price.

Excellent location. Friendly staff who couldn’t have done more to assist us. A big thanks to Dennis for going above and beyond to help us get a taxi to the airport in the midst of the crowds of the Pantheon. Our wifi f didn’t work which is the only reason I haven’t rated this 5 stars. Other than that, a beautiful and comfortable hotel.

The location was great right in front of the Pantheon and all the staffs were kind and nice. One thing was that our room’s bathtub was clogged. The staff came right away and fixed it but it still didn’t work well. Over all it was a great stay.
