We had booked Hotel Trevi but were taken to Al Manthia, a sister hotel. We were a bit disappointed as had specifically booked Hotel Trevi due to its proximity to the fountain. Instead of a 2 minute walk it was an 8 minute walk. That said, it was a great, central location with transport links just a couple of minutes walk away. As well as that there were plenty of shops, restaurants etc all around. So location wise it was perfect. The staff were all lovely, helpful and accommodating. Couldn't fault them. We'd heard so many bad reviews and just dont understand why they were so negative about the staff. Special mention to Roberta(?) Always a smile and willing to help / advise. The not so good bits: the pillows were not good, the beds were hard, the rooms very small. BUT they were cleaned daily to a high standard and served us well for a short stay. The hotel is not suitable for people with accessibility/ mobility issues due to the stairs at the entrance. The walls were also thin so take those ear plugs! There wasnt any tea and coffee facilities which i fine odd for a hotel, especially since we paid a premium to stay. I dont think it was worth the price we paid, you'd expect and could get more for your money elsewhere. Food: we had breakfast daily and there was a good choice of delicious food, varying each day. Overall it was a great stay and the staff and location made our stay a great one .
