Did not honor our reservation request; gave us the wrong room, refused our request made a month in advance for a ride to the airport as advertised, and said," Being high season in Rome, there is a great demand for reservations for private car transfers to/from the airport and we cannot satisfy all our customers. We are sorry we canceled your reservation"

Fantastic! Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast, good choice, and very fresh. Great location, beautiful historical building, with its own chapel, stunning! Beautiful courtyard, I could not recommend more and will definitely be booking again.

If you're visiting Rome and intending to spend most of your time exploring the city, Casa di Santa Francesca Romana may be a good option. Rooms are modest and unadorned, though clean, and the property's amenities are rather basic. The front desk staff is kind and friendly, offering 24-hour service. Though the main entrance door is locked at midnight, a quick doorbell ring is all that is needed before it is promptly unlocked by the overnight front desk agent. The property's background as a convent is evident in the art (painting and sculptures) throughout, with a few chapels off the corridors. The best and most notable feature of the property is the complimentary breakfast, which features a variety of pastries (brioche and croissants, cakes, tiramisù, crostate, bombolini, biscotti), granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, a selection of cheeses and meats, hard-boiled eggs, and toasts. The breakfast attendant was friendly and attentive, and espresso drinks are also available.

I chose this hotel because of its location in trastevere and because it is close to Circus Massimo where we were going to see Bruce Springsteen. The hotel is in a great area, narrow cobbled streets. loads of restaurants and bars close by, very atmospheric. The rooms are a little basic in facilities but are very clean and ours had a comfortable bed and good shower. We had breakfast every day for an extra 10 euros, this was excellent value for a substantial buffet with lots of choice and good quality coffee. The staff are very friendly and helpful, a special mention to the man who was on reception in the evening, he was a real star when one of our party had to be taken to hospital when taken ill outside the Coliseum, obviously this was a fraught situation but he was very helpful and ensured that we got to the hospital quickly with everything that we needed to help our friends. The building itself is really interesting, it is a former convent and retains many of the original features including a chapel which is still in use. There is a restaurant just across the street which appears to be very popular, unfortunately we didn't get to try it as there was always a long queue waiting for a table. The only real fault is the lift, which is tiny, it says max 4 persons, i would say they would have to be four very small persons or extremely friendly as 4 is packed like sardines, it would not be possible to change this due to the age of the building, and it is a small criticism but if you are claustrophobic and not very fit i suggest you ask for a room on ground or first floor. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Front desk ladies were extremely helpful with our email and Covid documentation requirements (to fly back home to Canada). Dining room staff were also very pleasant and food was good. We loved the roof top restaurant. While we are a little older, we were able to to visit major attractions, many within walking distance. We also used the "Hop on Hop off" bus (and as an extra: were blessed by the Pope !). Rooms were comfortable enough and service excellent. Fully recommend this hotel.
