We have stayed at Esterel Caravaning for 12 nights in the end of August 23. Our party was 2 adults with 4 kids age range 2-13 In summary this is a complete caravan site with all the amenities for a great holiday stay. We have really enjoyed our holiday as the park facilities are great. To start with, the park is located in the beautiful setting. Surrounded by the beautiful views of Esterel mountains with lots of palm trees and other varieties of plants which make it feel and smell like it’s very exotic place. There is a grocery store on site which is convenient for the morning bakery runs. It has a good selection of fresh vegetables and also anything else you may want. If you mind the prices, the closest Supermarket is less than 10min drive from the site. There is a good range of activities during the day for all age groups starting from a baby club up to adults. The animation team is great and try you to get engaged in different things. I would definitely recommend a guided hiking tour with Pasqual. I took my 10 year old boy and he absolutely adored it. Not only we have seen a beautiful views of Esterel but also learned about different local plants, animals and history of the area. The trip was circa 3 hours and absolutely free! You can hire equipment for different sports including tennis, mini golf and ping pong by leaving 10 euros deposit fully refunded when you finish. There is a nice and cosy bar with a terrace on the pool view. The staff is friendly and everyone on the park communicates in a good English too. There are couple of decent restaurants and few snack bars including pizza and other takeaways for those who prefer to dine on the site. If you have ability to drive, there are lovely beaches for the sea fun just within 10-25 min drive. Our favourite one was Frejus plage with a daily night craft market across the promenade stretching all the way to Saint Raphael. We did a couple of day trips to the iconic places in French Riviera. I you’re planning to visit St Tropez, a stop in a beautiful Port Girmaud is a must! The Cannes is less than hour drive where I recommend a boat trip to Saint Honorat Island! Amazing place with stunning sea views everywhere. The Pools: It’s a really good complex with good selection of pools and slides. The kids absolutely loved it. The morning was a quiet time with plenty of available loungers. During first week of our stay it was definitely busier and it was getting a bit crammed in the afternoons. Saying that we never had to wait to go on a slide longer than few minutes which was a bonus. Cons: Probably the only downside of our stay and what we have found very concerning as parents was a very limited number of lifeguards in the pool area. Almost no supervision on the slides made it look like a wild west. Notorious breaking of slide and pool rules. The areas with no lifeguard supervision made it feel unsafe for our kids. Hope it’s something that can be improved in the future as w

Our first trip to Esterel Caravaning was a wonderful experience. It's located in the south of France near Agay and is a fabulous resort for families with children. On site, there are pools galore (including an indoor one for toddlers and outdoor heated pools of varying sizes and depths), along with slides galore and a beach area. Other games included table tennis, basketball, minigolf and a play area for 3-12 year olds. There's a spa and yoga centre. On site there is a restaurant and snack bar, plus a bar and shop (where you can buy freshly squeezed orange juice and breakfast pastries, along with any other essentiels you need.) There's a 'town square terrace' to eat at nearby and a shop selling clothes and other essentials like towels. We stayed in a premium plus 6-8 berth caravan with verandah so we could eat outside each day; there's a seated area inside and outside and the views were spectacular. We had 3 bedrooms (one double with toilet & shower ensuite) and 2 single bedrooms (each with twin beds - quite small) plus separate toilet and shower. The shower was variable in terms of temperature, but perfectly manageable. Kitchen facilities were good, with a full 4 ring hob and oven/grill and microwave and dishwasher provided. Lots of saucepans and frying pans so cooking was easy. Staff were friendly and helpful (we arrived quite late) and spoke English and other languages too. A really great way to holiday - it's an hour from Nice airport with loads of lovely beaches nearby.

We stayed in Esterel Carvaning via Eurocamp booking during the first week in June 2024. Never having been before, there were a few nerves, but the site is amazing for families. We stayed in the Premium Plus 6-8 berth with decking and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. 3 bedrooms (one double with toilet & shower ensuite) and 2 singles with twin beds (small) and a separate toilet and shower. Baby cot and high chair and bath all provided, along with bed linen, towels and beach towels. Air con was great! The views on the verandah were wonderful and the facilities excellent. Lots of pools (indoor for toddlers, outdoor heated x 2) and many slides and beach area. Play area, minigolf, table tennis, basketball etc. all included. Shop, bar, restaurant and snack bar on site. The site is hilly but perfectly manageable. Staff are friendly and speak English. We can't praise them enough.

A lovely site. Lanes to pitches can be slightly tight if in a big motorhome like us. Staff in reception so friendly and attentive. Set in a great area of st Raphaël but town isn’t in walking distant. Water park is fanatic. My kids loved it. I would say the slipperiness around the pool needs to be considered as well as the high step from the pool steps to side as I broke my toe hitting it on the pool side lip as it sticks out and I see two adults slip over walking around the pool. The supermarket staff are rude and abrupt. They followed my children around like they were going to shop lift. Made my mum and children feel very uncomfortable. There is also a minimum spend of €5 each time you go in so your stuffed if you only want a baguette. Shower blocks could do with a little modernisation and a few more showers. We visited in may which is low season. I would hate to see the show blocks in August in the height of season. Overall, a great site. My kids loved the water park and all the shutes. We will be back.

Come here for a relaxing holiday with everything at your fingertips. The facilities on site are superb - you don't need to go anywhere or do anything if you don't want to. We travelled in a campervan and had our own bathroom which was perfect. We were sited near the shop, pools, restaurant and bar. If I could make any improvement it would be for the resort to provide a shuttle to the train station / bus station in the morning and a return to the site later. I would have stayed another week if it was an option.

After having read the reviews, most of them praising the site, staff and facilities, I cannot say the same. After having taken a car, train, plane and car with a 7 month baby to the site we arrived at 9pm to no travel cot, no bedding, no high chair, no oven gloves, no baby bath and no changing mat despite me paying for these as extras. We were told that this was a eurocamp issue and the gentleman said he would contact them. One hour later, bedding and a travel cot was provided. The following morning, we went to reception as instructed and paid a 67 euro tax. We were later told on another visit to reception that this was to be refunded to us as it was taken in error, I have no idea if they would have informed us about the refund had we not visited reception again. The oven gloves that we requested never arrived despite eurocamp staff telling us that they would be bringing them to us, meaning that it was unsafe to use the oven for the whole of the stay. In addition, the snack bar is shut one day per week and restaurant shut another day per week, neither of which we were verbally informed about at reception. When entering and exiting the site with the hire car, the barriers wouldn’t go down and we were rudely told to go up to reception and tell them the license plate, despite not knowing to do this because no one told us. Then after giving it to them, they did not input this for another day or so, so my mum had to remind them yet again. Finally, on our way out of the resort at 5:30am, the night guard told us we couldn’t exit before 7am as the barriers were shut. I challenged this and said that we were heading to the airport so had to leave, he reluctantly opened the barrier. All in all the staff came across as being unhelpful, judgemental and as if they didn’t know what was going on. My mum told me that she often felt overlooked at the bar and despite people joining the bar after her, she would be served after them. There was no friendly holiday and family approach. The pools were freezing cold, even the indoor jungle baby pool was very cold. The restaurant was lovely, food yummy, drinks in happy hour cheap and a lovely ambiance at the bar. The campsite scenery and gardens were nice. We enjoyed going to frejus, beach, marina and restaurants and took a day trip to Éze and Menton. We used a hire car for the journey which was needed to get around and to and from places. It was cheaper to do that than get airport transfers. We made the most of the time and enjoyed quality family time together, but this was not helped by the site staff and service.
