Festival Village Apartments

Currently staying at this hotel. If you like butlins then this hotel is your go to. The food is awful with very little options! The staff are so miserable! The beds are rock hard. Yes the rooms are a good size but you can hear everything. The Spanish are up all night on their balcony’s and when I told them to be quiet they asked for a fight. There is no music around the pool. You have to hire your cups and carry them round with you it’s bizarre. The only inclusive ice cream are cheap little pots. The walls are so think you can hear the person above you on the toilet! This hotel is 15 minutes away from anything including a local shop. There is no bar in the dining area so you have to leave and go back if you need another drink. Please if you are expecting a break and to relax don’t come There is no eating around the pool the pool loungers are mostly broke and very uncomfortable. My daughters are 6 and 11 and can’t wait to get back home

Avoid ! Or change holiday if already booked ! This hotel is Dirty ! Staff members very miserable! The hotel is out the way on top steep hill and a good 20 min walk to nearest shop definitely not wheelchair or pram friendly only 2 staff members carol and queen from reception were helpful after asking them about taxis that’s the only positive I could give but be warned it should not be classed as a 3star !!!

Second stay in the Festival Apartments, one year after the first. We stayed in late May 24, 3 families, 6 adults and 6 kids. Arrived about midday and we were quickly checked into our apartments and given the all inclusive bands which was excellent. The room was a one bedroom apartment with twin beds in the bedroom and a double in the living room and a sofa bed with a separate kitchen and bathroom so there was ample space as there were only two of us in our room, we were very happy with the space. The other families with us were also happy with their apartments. There are also larger, two bedroom apartments so this place is excellent for families and it should be pointed out that this complex only has apartments so nobody should be disappointed with the room sizes. The food was very good, not lots of dishes but always tasty and hot and the drinks were very good also. The grounds have a large pool that adults can stand up in with a kids pool and a lifeguard on most of the day so it feels safe. There's a kiddies playground also which the little ones enjoyed. I have to say that the entertainment team work hard and everyone enjoyed what they put on including games, quizzes, bingo and live acts. All of the staff are a credit, polite, hard working and helpful. The place is clean and tidy also. I have one gripe about the room and I'm hoping it's the only room that's like this but we were above the kitchens at the front of the hotel and the noise started fairly but wasn't excessive and I'm not a light sleeper but may have been quieter in the living room as the bedroom was right above it. Honestly, if you want space with a large family then this is the place for you with buses to and from Salou, right outside the hotel, which is about 10 minutes away. There's also a shortish walk into La Pineda which has shops, bars, arcades and a very large but unbusy beach. We will return to the Festival.

From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out...... BRILLIANT! we have just returned from a 7 day visit to the hotel. Room was HUGE but dated but spotless to the point I checked inside the oven & kettle and there wasn't one mark in them! Yes you have to pay a deposit for your glass but it DOES get changed simply just ask! The staff are more than welcoming from CAROL & QUEEN on the reception and the waitresses who clears your plates etc are superb! Bus right outside to hop to Salou town, the theme park, or just down the bottom to la Pineda where there is plenty of shops and supermarkets- most definitely NOT ages away and in the middle of nowhere. Transfers from Reus was 20 minutes or less. i booked with jet2 and the experience from from the flights and transfers and our in-house rep RACHEL were fantastic! Food in the hotel changed daily and nightly always lots to choose from and also snack bar with toasties,burgers, cheesy nachos, freshly baked pizza was incredible! wide selection of drinks there were no limitations (although two drinks and it was game over as the measures are ridiculous!) The pool was big and lots of places to sit on sunloungers- signs are warning people not to leave towels or place them as they would be removed which happened to other guests who left their towels out for hours without return. Entertainment.... well credit is due were its due MAURI & DANIEL were amazing running both a kids club and day time activities right up to the evening mini disco, Bingo, karaoke, divas the mellenials acrobats! My mum was so desperate to win a certificate- so she did! Maid service in the rooms is daily and they are so lovely! Found the hotel to be clean and unlittered- always helps to talk the lingo too! Would say the only;y downpoint I found is one or two of the staff members although tried my best to talk in Spanish she most obviously went out of her way to talk to me in English which I found to be rude. but that's just me nitpicking! oh and the manager definitely needs a holiday or something as she was always rather stern. Overall fabulous hotel ,fabulous staff I will look to returning next year!

I'm on my last day here.... I was so worried over all the bad reviews but I haven't seen a single thing wrong. The kids loved the pool, the entertainment. Nobody went hungry or was ill. The beach and shops are a 10 minute walk, bus stop right outside. Staff were polite and always happy to help. Room was clean. We had a brilliant time here

This hotel has nothing around it not even a shop, it has very little sun beds for the amount of guests and even less in the way of out door seating area. There are kids running round all over the place while their parents are busy getting drunk! You are asked to pay a 1 euro deposit for your plastic glass which they never change when getting a drink unless you ask them to change it and then they are not happy about it! The room was however clean and the maid came daily and changed all the towels. The food was quite good but literally these are really the only positive things I can say about this hotel! The pool is freezing cold and in need of repair and very small for the size of the hotel, this hotel is classed as 3 star but in my opinion i wouldn’t think it was even that!

I Would not recommend costs a fortune for buses and taxis to town. Rooms not very nice at all. Entertainment for younger children. Breakfast just ok. Did not use the pool so can’t comment. Only stayed one night . Balcony was over the pool so that was the only positive

Excellent highly recommend food was very nice like the idea of snack bar as kids always decide there hungry at random times entertainment was good children’s entertainment was spot on Mauri is a top bloke amazing with the kids they spent all day asking when mini disco starts even just passing he would stop and give them a high 5 he has made there holiday that’s for sure

There are illegal things going on that they try to hide, and the entretainers treatment is not so cool behind the scene. Staff whispers things in Spanish when you're close. Also the equipment is so old that it stops working at the shows. Would definitely not recommend.
