This was our second visit to the Adler in Tuscany in two years. Our expectations were high but it actually surpassed them. There are so many superlatives. The staff, the food, the setting near the beautiful village of Bagno Vignoni and the buildings/facilities. The e-mountain biking tours were particularly enjoyable. The only caveat, it’s expensive but worth every cent. Take the half board option as it’s great value for money and the restaurant is superb

From the moment we arrive at Adler Tuscany, we step into a world of peacefulness and luxury - our home from home. It is organised with such perfect attention to detail by Anton (the GM) - delivered by consistently brilliant staff, with a fabulous culture that is evident from every staff member - a sense of ownership from all, beautiful rooms, wonderful food and wine, a brilliant sauna suite and a comprehensive treatment set. The resort is nestled amid the magical landscape of Val D'Orcia in Tuscany. We are regular visitors to this resort (a family at the start but now just us as a couple). It is like an invisible magnet that just keeps pulling us back. The atmosphere elevates the stay to something extraordinary, Every moment is a perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. The amazing thing is that we keep meeting up at each visit with other people from different parts of the world - old friends that that we have met and made over the years. What else can we say - if you keep coming back for more - it must be really good and IT IS - actually not just good BUT EXCELLENT.

We can really feel the luxury and attention to details in every aspect. I won't list them all but we really felt very good at this hotel. The only reason why we rate 4/5 and not 5/5 is for the food. The food was good but not great and we would expect better for such a luxury hotel in Italy. If the chef ups their game or the hotel changes the chef, everything could be perfect.

What a threat, from the check-in to the restaurants, treatments and to the checkout smiles and quality. This is how a holiday should be, continuously pampering the mind and the spirit, with class and beautiful decor, the rooms continues to be greats and the people working there can't do enough for you, I have tested some great wines thanks to our sommelier Michele he is a thresher of knowledge. Pools and sounds are maintained in excellent conditions just like the grounds. I can't wait to go back again!

100% Yes. This place was amaaaaaazing! The staff was stellar, the food was incredible, the views, the rooms, the kids club, the thermal pools, the spa, the winery, the EVERYTHING was all we could have asked for and more. This was, by far, the highlight of our trip. With 2 kids (9 and 7) this was the ideal place to stay for a relaxing, yet engaging time in Tuscany. The location is perfect too. We got both parent alone/relax time, as well as great fun family time. Also, do yourself a favor and book a tasting at the hotel's Tenuta Sanoner winery for wine tasting. The views are breathtaking, the service is wonderful, it's quiet, comfortable, and the wine is so good. Shout out to Mirko for being one of the best servers we've ever had. He knew what we were thinking before we even thought it! He was great with the kids and was so attentive and kind. Kudos!

Cons: Adler Spa Thermae falsely advertises on its website and third party booking platforms that the rooms have air conditioning. Instead, the rooms are heated and cooled using irradiation panels in the floor and ceiling which were limited to increasing or decreasing the temperature by 3 degrees celsius from a 23 degree celsius starting point. It is an interesting concept, but the room did not cool quickly and I was too hot when going to bed. Luckily, the front desk provided a portable A/C unit, but it required us to keep our ground floor slider door open all night for the hose and vent to go outside. If I would have known that the rooms did not have air conditioning, I would have booked somewhere else as this is a mandatory requirement for me. The spa does not have very good customer service. They sent an e-mail to me prior to my stay to ask if I wanted a personal consultation before my visit to go over the spa menu. I responded asking for one, but they never e-mailed or called me back. They encourage you to book spa treatments in advance, but then they have a an inflexible cancellation policy. One one of our days we decided in the morning around 10am that we didn't need our 5pm massages anymore, but they wouldn't allow us to cancel them and ended up charging the full amount to our room despite us not receiving any massage services. We had a noise issue with the floor above us. They were stomping around their room late at night which made it hard to sleep. We called the front desk at midnight and they said they would call the room above us to ask them to be quieter. I would recommend the top floor for anyone concerned about noise. There was a random fire alarm at 3:30am on our last night due to a system malfunction. Pros: The front desk staff is amazing. They are very friendly and helpful and helped to resolve issues as they came up. They literally saved our stay by providing the portable A/C unit and helping us get a refund from the spa on massages they wouldn't let us cancel. The half board is very affordable at only 25 euros per night per person which gives you an all inclusive access to a very classy dinner each night. We didn't realize this was more of a formal attire dinner place, so make sure you have some nice dining clothes with you. We saw a lot of suit jackets/ blazer and nice dresses. If you get the half board package you will never be hungry as you will get breakfast, afternoon desserts and dinner every day. You could buy lunch at the restaurant on site, but we never needed to because we were so full. Suggestions to the hotel: Clarify on your website and third party booking platforms, that the property does not have air conditioning. I would suggest labeling the air conditioning as "other" and provide the description of what it actually is. The spa customer service could be improved. More flexible cancellation policies would make the stay much more enjoyable.

Wonderful wonderful place. The setting is spectacular. The thermal baths, saunas, steam baths, relaxation rooms-I had never been anywhere like this. We had a rainy day and ended up thoroughly enjoying the amenities. Our guided walking tour with wine tasting was lovely and super fun e-bike ride (until it rained). 3 days is the minimum to stay. Food and service was all superior. I would love to return to this very special place.❤️

Amazing hot springs in Tuscany! The spa offers outstanding services and amenities. We booked the day spa and it was so special. Food offered during day spa was delicous. Hot spring pools are perfect. Wish I would have booked two days! Very close to Pienza.

The Adler is a very good hotel by Italian standards. Of course that doesn’t mean much, given the dreadful state of the profession in the country. Service is not a given, and great experiences are rare. The Adler does well by domesticating a large contingent of workers and getting them to deliver, most of the time. The refurbished rooms are very nice, but avoid the older, dated, ones. The restaurant is alright but serves mostly industrial fare. In good old fashioned Italian style, « half board » will be forced upon you. Its not clear how this bundled offer is still legal, but Italy has never enforced rules that protect consumers. So your stuck with mostly readymade canteen food served by old fashioned waiters in smart monkey uniforms. Room service is available, and very fast and diligent. The wine list is rather longer than good. Mostly average stuff, not very well picked out. You can still find a few gem in here and the prices are soft. Of course everyone comes for the spa, especially the upper Italian bourgeoisie with a Porsche Macan or Audi diesel in the garage. On the whole the experience is nice and the business is very well run. Cracks appear beneath the veneer of organisation very soon though. Most importantly, not all practitioners are very good. Some are trained chiropractors, others mere cosmeticians. The difference in their work is huge, but you won’t know who you get before your session. And the prices are the same. At 100€ or so a pop, its all a bit hit and miss if you are used to big city standards. The spa area and pool are nice, making the whole experience worthwhile. All together a nice stay, but remember you are not in the land of flawless execution and superb service, so this is a rather good choice

Located in Tuscany, the Adler spa is a great way to spend a day rejuvenating and relaxing. The thermal pools and facilities are first class and the massage therapy was one of the best. While we were just visiting for the day, they also have a full lodge for overnight and extended stays. I highly recommend visiting if spas and therapeutic treatments are of interest to you. Pricing was what you expect from the type of facility and spa offerings but worth the $!

I was happy that my mother from Arizona could experience this wonderful hotel, she loves Tuscany and came back after 35 years in occasion of her 90th birthday. She is a world traveller and truly loved everything, from the spacious comfy room with the gorgeous view of the valley to the immense SPA and the excellent food. This place is simply a dream and you can feel that the whole staff is very dedicated.

If you are foodie - don't hesitate to book a stay here because you will NOT be disappointed. The cuisine is AMAZING and the choices are MORE than ample - both at breakfast AND dinner. EVERYTHING about the food is EXCEPTIONAL - from the quality to the presentation to the abundance. Word of caution - make sure you tell the staff on the first night you arrive that you do not want to be rushed...this place is for DINING, not EATING. Additionally, the massages and spa treatments I received were excellent but this is only because I specifically insisted, in advance of my arrival AND AGAIN on arrival, that I wanted deep tissue massages. This later point is why the location only gets an "Average" rating. Service levels at a resort of this caliber should be exceptional and/or near perfect. Unfortunately, they are not. Upon arrival, I was immediately asked to pay for my entire stay up front. This seemed EXTREMELY odd because I was a guest at the sister property in Ortisei last year and this was not the case. I don't know whether this was because the woman at the reception saw that I had my Passport and credit card already handy (in spite of all of this information having already been provided upon booking) or if this is a new policy of the resort. Again, at checkout when it came time to pay for the extras I enjoyed while at the resort, the woman at the reception seemed reluctant to allow me to redeem credits from my loyalty account and it was not until insisted that she do so that she actually realized I was well informed about the availability of those points toward my stay. Upon checking in to the room, the typical bathrobe and slippers were missing. The robe and slippers are ESSENTIAL items for this resort. How does this happen? In fact, the resort specifically mentions that you should feel free to enjoy breakfast and lunch in them while observing a more elegant attire for dinner. Knowing that I had booked a massage for 9 am the morning after my arrival, I immediately notified the front desk that these items were missing. I'm not sure that did any good because they were not sent to my room and I had to request them, AGAIN, the following morning. Other than this oversight, I must compliment the housekeeping staff as the room was always well maintained and they were very discreet. Lastly, and because it is critical to enjoying the entire experience, I can not stress enough the importance of informing your server that you DO NOT WANT TO BE RUSHED at dinner. My first night, I was seated in a section with a server who seemed more interested in getting his section cleared than with allowing the guests to actually enjoy their food. This was, frankly, disappointing given that the resort prides itself on being a "wellness" retreat and that any medical/gastrointestinal professional (particularly one with Ayurvedic knowledge) will advise that dining should be done SLOWLY, taking time to chew and savor the food you are consuming as opposed to just shovin

We booked this as a two night pit stop during our Tuscany honeymoon and it was everything we wanted. Highlights included: - a complimentary bottle of fizz, cake, rose petals in the room to celebrate our honeymoon, very unexpected but a great way to start our stay - we really enjoyed a pre-dinner cocktail in the bar to piano being played - the food and service were brilliant, especially the desert options - spa facilities are some of the best we’ve encountered especially the saunas - we slept really well in comfortable rooms For Brits visiting, despite all the signs saying you should remove all swim wear before entering steam room and sauna not sure I saw anyone who did, everyone just wraps a towel around themselves. It’s worth visiting the surrounding areas. A great stay.

The moto of this hotel is ‘let your soul fly free’. It summarises the experience. Vibrant, beautiful, memorable and unique. Incredible food and wine. My cheekbones were thoroughly tested by smiling all the time.
