Great place, peaceful, rural but 10 minutes from a charming small city.
The proprietors are personable and make you feel at home.

We were a family visiting the area. This is is a vast property, so you will be in the middle of nature, surrounded by Lavandula plantation in the farm . The rooms had actually the sent of the plant. The owners, were very accomodating to our various requests. The place is very quiet, everything is very clean. The owner showed us the mill where the lavandula oil is extracted from the plant and offered us samples. The village Castelo de Vide is about 15 minutes from this property and offers a wide variety of restaurants and historic places to visit. It is very hilly so, a word of caution. There was a music festival when we visited. Overall a place to visit and remember.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Quinta das Lavandas. The property was very nice -- we took advantage of the pool both days! We stayed in the cottage in the field vs. in the main house and really liked it. It was quiet, clean, and had most of the same amenities (except no Wi-Fi). Also, the bed was quite small. The farm is in a good location - we drove to both Castelo de Vide and Marvao for castles and dinners. There are also some hiking/walking trails nearby the farm that we explored. The breakfast was good and the staff were kind and communicative. They give you a list of recommended restaurants when you arrive which is really helpful. Compared to other B&Bs in Portugal, the price is a bit expensive for what you get but nonetheless we enjoyed it!

Quinta de Lavandas is an exceptional place for a night (or nights) stay. It is a magnificent mansion outside Costello de Vida. The room is well decorated and was very clean. The breakfast was wonderful, all a person can expect from a breakfast-menu. The owner, Teresa, is very helpful. She knows the area very well, and assisted us very kindly.

We stayed here for one night on our return to Lisbon from Caceres Spain. We stopped at Marvao and then overnighted here. We had two rooms to accommodate our family of four. The hosts were pleasant, the entire Quinta was beautiful, clean and inviting. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent (especially the scrambled eggs). We would gladly stay again.

Um acolhimento excepcional os proprietários são de uma incrivel simpatia. Foi uma experiência a repetir sem duvida porque a quinta na sua simplicidade está incrivelmente bem restruturada. Pequeno almoço muito completo e diversificado. Um cheirinho a lavanda permanente tive imensa pena de ir numa altura em que ainda não floresce. Bem hajam D. Teresa e Sr. Estêvão fazem sem duvida toda a diferença no acolhimento.

Une excellente expérience en plein cœur de la nature et au calme. Des propriétaires aux petits soins et soucieux. Le cadre est enchanteur, entouré de champs de lavande. Petit déjeuner de très bonne qualité, produits faits maison, frais et sains. Emplacement à 3km du très connu village Castelo de Vide

A minha estadia ocorreu durante o mês de maio. Embora não tenha tido a oportunidade de ver as lavandas em flor, não deixei de trazer as melhores memórias. Um local acolhedor com ambiente familiar, prima pela atenção e educação de quem lá trabalha. Tudo muito limpo e arrumado. Pequeno almoço delicioso. Repetiria a estadia hoje mesmo
