InterContinental São Paulo, an IHG Hotel Reviews

My stay was ok. I was actually happy that I had to stay only 1 night cause I was disappointed on the level of the hotel compared to other InterContinental I stayed in other countries. I love bathtubs and the room had one I did not want to use. It was a let down for the price I paid which was not cheap so I was expecting more. The breakfast was great cause Brazilian cuisine is awesome! I also did not appreciate the condescending tone of the staff at the front desk. I would not stay there again nor will I recommend to anyone.

There were small bugs in the room, and they persisted after changing the room twice. At the same time, the gym equipment is old and you are not allowed to enter without wearing sportswear.

The price was over 2,000 per night, but it was only a domestic four-star hotel at best. The service was good, but the price/performance ratio was not high.

There is a Japanese restaurant less than 100 meters away from this hotel, but the waiters don't speak English, so if you don't want to go out at night, you can only eat in the hotel. The only restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but you can ask the bar counter to make pasta, sandwiches, burgers, etc., which are pretty good.

The breakfast was good, but the swimming pool was under renovation and could not be used.

The room is old, the drainage is not smooth, the bed cover is two pieces of cloth and is not complete, the gym is not very friendly, the experience is very bad

The price of 2,000 a night is unbeatable, domestic 3-star level

Be prepared to be surrounded by beautiful, vibrant art with a very calming atmosphere @ The Intercontinental. We stayed a few days on our way back to the US from having fallen in love with Salvador Bahia. This hotel welcomed us with open arms. The bartender Chelo makes homemade heart loved fruit and alcohol cocktails that are exquisite!! Chelo and his team love their work and it shows!! Make sure to have Some time at the bar. Absolutely do the lounge access. The food and people who take care of you are so great. You will want to stay in there all day. We had massages in our room which helped prepare us to return home from vacation. Trout dinner in the hotel restaurant was plate licking delicious. Everyone at The Intercontinental make you feel at home, cared for, and happy to be there. We will be back - ciao ciao

This hotel is a very good hotel and very good located. On walking distance to the Avenida Paulista, quite some nice restaurants and bars and 7 min walk to the mall ciudade Sao Paolo. The best thing is the staff who of the hote, who arel very friendly, supportive, helpful and professional. All staff members are great and can speak English very well. The staff even recognises you when you are back and friendly great you with your name. So they did remember my name which is great. Not to undermine the other staff memebers, but for me the ladies in the club lounge are amazing. I have a lot of interaction with them and they always support me ein any way they can. I love staying at this very hospitable hotel. The only thing that can improve is that the pool is getting old plus is very undeep and the rooms might also need a renovation. The rooms are clean and proper though.

I had such a fantastic experience at the hotel bar (Godet Bar) thanks to the two bartenders (Chelo and João Vitor)They took the time to craft a unique drink for us (Moscow Chelo) showcasing their creativity and skill. Not only were they kind and authentic, but they were also great conversationalists, making our time there even more enjoyable. I highly recommend visiting the bar and chatting with these talented individuals for a memorable experience!

Wonderful hotel. The staff are friendly and patient for those who do not speak portuguese. The room is clean and nice. The pool is beautiful. The check in was easy. Close to shopping malls which are in walking distance. The lounge us comfortable with a large TV to watch football ⚽️
