Fairmont Olympic Hotel - Seattle

The environment is excellent.

Beautiful, excellently located for tourists near the art museum, the 5th Avenue Theatre with musicals, and the symphony orchestra hall, 10 minutes from the bay promenade. Be sure to check out the secret bar in the lobby closet. The room was well-cleaned, but they don't offer night service, and surprisingly, there were no slippers in the upgraded room. There was a huge line at reception upon check-in and check-out. We left after dropping our key in the self-checkout box, fearing we'd be late for the airport. The included breakfast was an unpleasant and outrageous experience: it was a deposit at the George restaurant, which will be credited to your bill, but you have to wait half an hour in line to get a table. The hostess created a line of hotel guests with paid breakfast separately from guests paying for breakfast. The couple in front of us left indignant, missing their tour. A hotel of this caliber could have organized a small buffet for the comfortable stay of its guests.

The hotel lobby was grand, but the rooms were rather dated, reflecting early 2000s Chinese renovation standards. A 1.7-meter tall adult couldn't fully submerge in the bathtub when lying down. The bathroom provided two bottles of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner, but no shower gel. The driver was scheduled to pick us up at 12:30, but the hotel made it difficult to check out until then. Overall, the experience was mediocre and didn't meet 5-star hotel standards.

The service was terrible. It took at least half an hour to get water. The breakfast was monotonous. For a double room, they only provided one bathrobe and didn't provide any more toiletries. I will never stay here again!

A historic hotel with a large enough room, divided into two areas: living room and bedroom. The location is also convenient, and you can walk to the famous Pike Place Market and its surroundings. The front desk service is also very good. We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon, and normally check in at 4 pm, but when we asked about parking, we were arranged to check in as there was a room available. The experience was very good and it will be my first choice next time I go to Seattle.

The location is very good, the facilities feel old, and I really don't like the fixed shower. The valet parking guy is nice, he is the only one who took the initiative to get us mineral water after giving us a tip.
