"The airport drop-off service was excellent, running every twenty minutes and always on time. The check-in staff were also great; they extended my check-out time by an hour and even gave me delicious cookies. However, the airport pick-up service was terrible. I waited at gate 3A for a full fifty minutes. A car drove right past me without stopping in the middle of it – what was that all about? I was dragging two suitcases and ended up chasing it, which left me with a huge bruise. Furthermore, this hotel is massive with many buildings. The building I stayed in felt like it had very few guests. The room facilities were also quite old (though I appreciated having a microwave in the room). There were all sorts of noises at night, and being alone, I honestly got a bit scared. I ended up sleeping with the lights on."

"When I first checked into the room, there was hair on both the sink and the bed. I tried calling the front desk in the middle of the night, but couldn't get through. However, after reporting it the next day, they moved us to a different room and upgraded our room type, so the service was still quite good. The sea view from the higher floor was beautiful, and the breakfast downstairs was delicious. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, though."

"I stayed in several Motel 6 hotels, and this one exceeded my expectations the most. First, it is not far from the city, and there is a big shopping mall within a 5-minute drive. Second, the room is big and the bathroom is clean, which is a bit like a self-operated store instead of a franchised small hotel. Third, the parking lot is big and the front desk is very friendly. If you stay in the summer, you can also swim in the hotel."

"I enjoyed my stay at Red Roof Inn. The email enquiries were always rapidly replied to. Staff are very nice. The room was vast and clean and had free coffee. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel itself has no restaurants but there are restaurants nearby you can walk to. The Vietnamese restaurant nearby was very good and for breakfast there’s Denny’s. Airport shuttle was very convenient. For the price, it was perfect."

"Although it is a typical motel, the room and towels were well cleaned and washed, so I had a comfortable stay. The staff were also nice, and I will stay here again next time. It is just under a 20-minute walk to the airport, and an Uber ride costs around $15. It is also a 20-minute walk to the nearest train station that runs to downtown Seattle. There are Subway stores and cafes nearby."

"Sheraton Grand Seattle has a great downtown location, spacious room, and various amenities. The hotel is located right next to the convention center and few blocks to the downtown shopping / dining. The room is spacious for four of us with enough space to open our luggage and we did not feel cramped. On a higher floor, we had a nice city view. The hotel is updated and has a large lobby, Starbucks, a wine bar, restaurants, and fitness center/pool. We arrived in the early morning and was lucky to get an early check-in. The staff we encountered was nice and helpful and we had a good experience overall. The hotel charges a destination fee that offers $20 dining credit to use in bar/Starbucks/selected restaurants and $10 Uber credit. Maybe because most people spend their $20 credits on Starbucks, the line was very long in the morning (~20 minutes). I would suggest going earlier or later to avoid the long line."

"They upgraded our room upon arrival! The staff were very friendly and courteous. We had a beautiful view room overlooking the city on the 14th floor. The pullout couch bed is really only suitable for one child. Our oldest daughter took the couch bed and said it was very uncomfortable so we had everyone in the extra large king sized bed. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the mattress was soft. The room was relatively clean, although a little dusty. Probably because of the location and the age of the hotel. The room was fully stocked with water and snacks. The bathroom was extremely clean! Breakfast was not included, so we had a five minute walk to Starbucks. The concierge accommodated us with a $15 shuttle ride to the cruise ship dock. The shuttle service was excellent and they took care of all of our bags."

"I really liked the room layout; the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom all looked very clean. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but the American-style options were quite tasty. The neighborhood where the hotel is located felt very safe, and it wasn't far to walk to the light rail and supermarket. The only downsides were the noise: one was from cars speeding outside, and the other was a strange sound from the indoor air conditioning. Overall, it's still a very good hotel!"

"Clean, well located, nice room and gym. The soundproofing between rooms wasn’t great (or we had a loud neighbour that spoke at high volume from 6am). Beware in the bar, they put an 18% automatic service charge on the bill and then ask for a tip again when you pay with your card! They made it hard to find the 0% button which was cheeky when we already paid the 18% charge once! That was my main reason for making it a 4/5, management, you should look at that, it’s poor practice."

AAnonymous UserI chose this hotel because of the good reviews. The building is old, but it's a charming hotel with many thoughtful touches. I rented a bicycle from them, which was very convenient. There are also Lime electric bikes available in the city, making Seattle's hills and distances much less daunting. However, flushing the toilet produced a very loud noise and a blast of air. The in-room TV connection was poor, so it didn't work. Maintenance came quickly and got the TV to turn on, but I couldn't change channels afterwards, possibly due to a faulty remote. It was frustrating, and I ended up not watching it at all. Perhaps because of this inconvenience, they didn't charge me the resort fee.

AAnonymous UserIt took us quite a while to finally get into our room due to issues with the key cards not working. Had to make two trips from the 20th floor down to the front desk only to find out the problem was a low battery in the door lock. Once inside, we noticed the room wasn’t properly set up for four guests, as there weren’t enough towels provided. The bathroom design was also inconvenient. There are two sliding doors neither had locks, which makes privacy difficult. The air conditioning blew directly toward your face while lying on the bed, and the vents were too high to adjust. In addition, electric kettle, bathrobes, and slippers were not provided. On a positive note, the breakfast buffet was excellent. It offered a wide variety of choices, and the service was outstanding, making it a highlight of our stay.

GGuest UserWe had a decent stay at the house. The room is pretty small but it is clean. The common area are nice with dinner table and chairs, but only have 1 living room chair. Kitchen is nice and clean, unfortunately, there were some issues with ants in the kitchen. The major issue with the house is the noise.. as the wall are very thin which when any other guest walking in the common area or talking in their rooms, you pretty much can hear everything. The common area lights are motion sensitive and unfortunately the door gap in our room are bigger than normal, as anyone walks in the hallway, our door frames would lights up at night and wake me up at night. We didn't get too good of a sleep/rest for this reason.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff are friendly, but not helpful. The washing machine was not working after I paid and put in the clothes and detergent, then I called the front, then they told me the washing machine is not working. I asked them why didn’t they put out a notice, the front desk said he just found out when I call. At the beginning he asked me to wait till the next morning, then they can call the washing machine company to try to give me a refund. Anyways, they are not sure about if I get refund or not!!! At the end, going back and forth, the front desk agree to refund me in cash and give some detergent to go to another floor for the laundry. I arrive Seattle late around 11pm in the evening with the car. I paid for the daily fee for parking. As I will be leaving Seattle only few hours after checking out, they told me I could not leave the car in the garage until late afternoon because they need the space. I said I paid for a ‘daily fee’, so in principle I should be able to park the car till late afternoon, but they told me not, it is my choice to check in late and they cannot do anything to extend my parking till late afternoon. I asked them if that is the regulation, they should put that down clearly in the description and inform the guests in advance, particularly those international guests who might have another interpretation about the ‘daily fee’. At the end, they allow me to park until 2 pm which is too early for me and I need to change my plan at Seattle completely due to the parking issue. In conclusion, the general attitude is they are sorry if the guest has any problem, but they can’t help much!!!!!

GGuest UserNot thrilled with the every other day room cleaning. We were told by an extremely rude evening front desk clerk, that we were told about this upon arrival, which we were not. He also said it was written up in the hotel's description online. Who really reads all the small print? He argued about it with my sister, while waving his hand in her face. He also said he was out of shower caps, which should be provided in the rooms anyway, especially with the overhead rain shower feature. He also screamed at us to move, for smoking in the chairs outside, where there are no posted signs. We didn't feel safe in that neighborhood to smoke on the dark street, as we had a few run ins with the ******** *** homeless.

GGuest UserThe good: The house is really clean and lovely. We have all we needed to cook at home, and the rooms were nice and spacious. The Bad: The location leaves a lot to be desired, lots of people fighting and threatening outside. Several nights we've had to endure listeng to screaming and someone being harassed. It's terrifying for my kids who may be technically adults but still on the younger side. The Ugly: We've had a little incident where my partner, who's not technologically knowledgeable accidentally purchased a movie through the owner's account. The owner went through the roof calling names and accusing without asking what happened first. Reading other reviews in airbnb we can see this is not the first incident with him not being the nicest. There are ways to communicate without going from zero to sixty. We paid a few thousand dollars for this stay, another 5 bucks is not something we're looking to swindle.
