If you wish to be an Italian Noble with modern amenities stay at Castello delle Serre. Sal and his family welcome you like you are part of their family. The Castle is beautiful and rich with history which the family shares in the most entertaining way. The food at the castle was better than any restaurant we ate in and the staff helps with your every need. Sal was our superb tour guide while we ate and drank our way through the region. Kaci and Antonio held down the fort (Castle which literally was a fortress for this town and its people) but spent time telling us stories and helped guide us to have the best experience ever. I think this may have been my favorite trip ever. The right amount if down time verses experiences.

I can't begin to say enough about Castello delle Serre and the hosts Antonio and Kaci. The facility is a gorgeous "castle" in an absolutely beautiful part of Tuscany that has been converted into a B&B. We were amazed by the beauty and authenticity from the moment we pulled up. The room we stayed in was very spacious and spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had a more luxurious feel and was very up-to-date. The pool area is amazing with incredibly surroundings and beautiful gardens. Just sitting out in the pool area was enjoyable, even though it wasn't yet warm enough to swim. Dinner is not offered every night as it was still a bit off season, but the two meals we had were fantastic! They actually turned out to be two of our favorite meals in Tuscany. When we didn't eat at the hotel, it was a short walk to local restaurants. While I can't say enough good things about the property itself, the real treasure was our hosts Antonio and Kaci. From before my arrival, they helped plan every aspect of the trip and mapped out an itinerary daily, which included where to park (which is the one part about driving in the area that intimidated me). We were convenient to Siena, San Gimignano, Cortona, Montepulciano, and several other gorgeous towns/cities. Our hosts also went above and beyond to help us celebrate an important occasion. If you're looking to get a real feel for Tuscany with a combination of beautiful surroundings, great accommodations, and outstanding service, this is your place!

The stay at the castle was more than just a vacation location, it was a wonderful experience...Come as a guest, leave as family!!! We were happy to be able to be part of one of the 7 day stay/ tours. The food, the wine, the surroundings, and the castle staff and family were amazing. We look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for everything - including recipes! Ariane and Matt

My wife and I visited in mid April for the first time. It felt like we were the king and queen of our own castle. The place was spectacular. Large rooms, incredible pool area, great breakfast (was included) amazing views and very private. Even more special is the way you are treated by the owners, Antonio and Kaci; they make you feel very welcome, like you are part of the family. They were always eager to help plan our daily adventures; listening, giving us recommendations and detailed maps to follow (car is highly suggested). This was such a great base camp for trips to Tuscan villages, nearby wineries, quaint restaurants (the best meals of our whole trip), and even a natural hot springs close by that was great for relaxing in the sun and taking in the views! This time of year is artichoke season and there is even an artichoke festival in a neighboring village, with live music, etc.! We will definitely be back and thank you again Antonio and Kaci for such an incredible experience. This stay is a must if visiting Tuscany!!

This is an authentic castle from the middle ages transformed into a B&B. . The place is family run and there were always one or two on site to answer any of our questions. There were 11 women in our group and all of our rooms were spectacular with wifi and our own private bath. It does not have some of the amenities of a Four Seasons but the beds and pillows were comparable. The food was so delicious as is expected from an Italian establishment and there was also a pool and plenty of wine. The little town around the castle was cute and had eateries nearby. Salvatore (the owner) was great for explaining all about the towns in driving distance, and there were quite a few. We had a wonderful experience here and highly recommend the Castle for a great singles, couples, or family vacation.

Incredible Week! The daily tours were absolutely the best. Salvatore spoke clearly, and distinctly and had such a wealth of knowledge of the history of the area. Daily side trips were carefully planned and orchestrated to beautiful villages and vineyards. Excellent wines and food every day. Return to Castle with time to unwind before dinner. The Castle is from the 12th century, high up in a quaint town, old but restored beautifully. Our room was , spacious, with an awesome view of the valley. The bed with down comforter was fantastic. Windows w shutters made for great sleeping in total darkness and quiet. Dining was 5 star. The tour is better than 5 star - Truly an experience not to be missed.

This is perhaps my favorite of the hundreds of hotels at which I have stayed. The property is magnificent. Unparalleled ambience. My room was nothing short of spectacular - one of the three nicest rooms I have stayed in. The garden is serene. Best of all is the amazing service from Kaci - who would text me suggestions throughout the day. I rate this hotel so highly despite some inconveniences. There really is no room service - but Kaci will get you delicious snacks and wine. The only walkable food are a couple mediocre restaurants down a hill in the village. But there is an absolutely amazing restaurant a short drive away. Just ask Kaci. Consider though - that despite these drawbacks, I still believe this to be perhaps the most enjoyable hotel I have stayed in. If you have the chance to stay here - and have a car - do not miss this gem.

Please note: Our experience is indescribable and these words won't do it justice: The guest castle is located in the countryside of Tuscany. Turning into the drive and seeing the castle was like being in a dream about everything I imagined it would be. Upon entering the castle, we were warmly welcomed by the caring hosts/owners, Kaci & Antonio. We were shown to our room, an amazing authentic oasis ornately decorated with wide views of the scenic terrain. We dropped off our luggage and met the other castle guests downstairs in the restaurant where a wonderful Italian meal was prepared for us, including wine pairings. Antonio, his father, the initial/current owner of the property, and Kaci were walking around the restaurant greeting the guests. Kaci addressed the group explaining how she and Antonio met and how they arrived at this special place to run the castle and raise their family. It truly made us feel like were part of their personal circle of friends. Each evening, we enjoyed a common area to drink wine and talk about our day touring wineries and the countryside. Just outside of the castle, a local mediaeval festival was going on where people dressed up, played music, and enjoyed authentic food with beer/wine. I could go on, but hope you are able to see this amazing place for yourself. There are only 20 rooms, making it even more special and private. We plan to return and know we will need to give them plenty of notice!
