Ji Hotel (The Bund, Shandong Middle Road, Shanghai)

Location is prefect. Everything is good. Will continue stay again. One thing that not perfect is the breakfast one is 7 to 10am. However, the food already finished by 9:30am and they not refill, people that come after 9:30am will don’t have food anymore, this could be improved.

100m from exit 3, Metro Nanjing East Road Station. Room is small but clean. A small tea set for you make tea by yrself. Convenient store, bakery and restaurants next to the hotel. Friendly staff. Thanks for the tea box as gift when check-out.

Location very good as it’s just next to NanJingDongLu station, located inside pedestrian street and walkable to The Bund. The room is small but just nice to us. Thank you staff for giving us tea. And, we found out the laundry is free which is great while we still finding outside, extra bonus.

It was my 2nd stay in this hotel and this time we were allocated a room in the middle of level 3. Room was clean and spacious except for the toilet. It was really small. There is very little space between the toilet bowl and the door. Luckily we were not big in size so we can still squeeze aside to close the door. The doorknob dropped out as the 2 screws cannot be tightened. The shower room drainage was also choked. We noticed the aircon has stopped working on the 2nd night of our stay and went to inform the reception the next morning. We were told that they have switched off the cold air outlet so only normal fan is available. We were puzzled why they do that as Shanghai temperature is getting warmer moving into the spring season. To our surprised, when we returned to our room at night the aircon was working again. On the whole, we will still recommend this hotel to first time travellers visiting Shanghai due to the great location in Nanjing Road East walking street and near The Bund. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk to Nanjing Road East Metro Station (Line 2) Exit 3. Do note that you will have to carry your luggage down the stairs as the escalator is for going up only.

The location is the best selling point here, the overall stay experience was great and everything was up to standard. The toilet was clean with all amenities available, there was still sufficient space for luggage and a sitting area. There was also a TV with many local channels to discover, some with old western movies as well. Mineral Water was available for free at all times, and sent to your room by a robot when requested. Laundry is self-serviced with 2 washer + dryer along with detergent, which was helpful for us! Our bed was comfortable enough, with a soft topper, and a pair of arched & non-arched pillows. The mattress was great for side sleepers, but not great for heavy weighted sleepers though. Wifi is not strong and barely usable, so we ended up just using what we have from roaming mobile data. Air conditioning was mainly good but there was one time we smelled cigarette smoke due to the air conditioning being centralized on the same floor. They did provide an air purifier but it didn't help much unless you turn off the aircon in your room. Luckily the weather was good so it wasn't that bad. We were also told that a good review can give us a free breakfast! That's a nice perk :) Overall, we still enjoyed our stay, and the staff were really helpful and polite. We will come back here for our next stay if we're back in Shanghai.

Locations is perfect. The room was not so clean as expected. Room facility is OK but floor drain was not good and the outside room has got terrible smell. Standard Room size was a bit small. The hotel floor was so thin then we can hear upper room sound. ็Hotel's ventilation system was not so good. I can smell smoking in bathroom and bed room sometimes.

Staffs were very helpful and can speak english. The location is nearly by subway stn. (East nanjing exit3). Recomment for a foreigner.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I booked the tatami room, I travel with the large luggage and the place if so limited to put anything else.. but it is good location.
