Booked last minute late at night and the service was excellent with quick and easy check in. Access to the room is with door code so no need for keycard. Got a free upgrade to a larger room with kitchen and laundry facilities which would have been amazing for a longer stay. Perfectly clean and very comfortable

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price This place felt nothing like a proper hotel room — more like an unmaintained Airbnb. The flooring was dirty upon arrival, and several fixtures were in poor condition. The kitchen tap was loose and shaky, and the shower head was barely hanging on. The toilet door lock was broken, which made privacy an issue. The room uses a digital number lock for access, which didn’t feel very secure or hotel-like either. The washing machine only has a washing function with no dryer, and there’s no proper space to hang clothes to dry. The bathtub area lacked a shower curtain, which caused water to splash all over the floor. The wardrobe was dusty and only had five broken, dirty hangers. Towels were technically clean but discolored and didn’t feel fresh. The kitchen tabletop was sticky and visibly dirty, which was off-putting. I paid SGD $74 for one night, and honestly, it wasn’t worth a single dollar. I strongly advise others to avoid this place — I couldn’t wait to check out.

Anyone looking for a hotel near Popmart, I recommend this place. It's just one alley away and it's very close to the metro. Compared to the price, we think it's the best value from our trip. We booked on the spur of the moment, but the hotel upgraded our room for free. We were very impressed. We slept well, the air conditioning was cool. The staff were lovely, friendly, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend it. It's close to everything and the location is great.

A great location, just minutes away to nanjing east road. food is easily available just downstair the hotel and across the road

good location , easy to find good food just next to hotel lobby , room space not big and got smoking smelly , we do ask for room change but sttaff said not able to do

Great location with many restaurants nearby. The hotel upgraded my room from a Superior Queen Room to a King Room with a bathtub. Use Exit 2, as it has an elevator. Exit 5 is directly opposite the hotel but only has stairs. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Shanghai.

OK! But the staffs should prepare accessories better than this time.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city. The room is quite large. The bed is soft and comfortable. There are refrigerator and washing machine in the room. Staffs are is very nice. Strongly recommended !

Perfect location, Super convenient to everything (as Sporean). Few mins walk to Metro & Nanjing Pedestrian Rd (just like fm JEM to West Gate). Less than 15mins walk to d Bund (just like Raffles City to Marina). Most hotel rooms near Nanjing Ped. Rd r small, old & no window, no cars can direct pick up or alight at hotel, hv to go thru malls, steps or small alley to check in. Not for Polar, d room r big n clean with windows, washing machine, oven, big fridge & electric cooker. Toilet hv heater, wont feel cold after bathe n also can "dry" clothes after wash😁. DiDi car can stop directly infront of d hotel. Busstop infront got 2 buses to 愚园 for 打卡 (not 豫园). Restaurants (some open till 12am) n shops beside hotel n along d street. The key point, d next street behind, Ningbo Rd, where famous Shanghai breakfasts n mini mart (open till 12am) can b found. Famous LAI LAI Xiao Long Bao is just 5mins walk away. Most important, staffs r friendly.👍👍

Locatio is very good. Just next to the metro and a short walk from the Bund. However, the toilet flooded on the first night while showering. And the water didnt come from the shower. When i told the guy at the reception, he said he would take a look. When i came back, he just said the water goes down slowly. That's exactly the problem? The bottom of the toilet vanity has water damage and also the the outside of the toilet area. The couch also looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years. Would recommend staying elsewhere even though it's cheap and has a good location.

Stayed for 4D3N. Super good location next to aeast Nanjing Station. If you have big luggage, please go to exit 2 as there is an upward and downward escalator. Exit 5 is closer to the hotel if you don't have luggage. The specky male staff at the counter was rather rude and relatively unfriendly when we first stepped in to inform that we have a booking for 3 nights. Instead of greeting or welcoming us, he immediately confronted us that check in time was only after 2pm. Well, we just wanna inform him that we are the guests and want to store our luggage with the hotel. But the FIRST impression towards the hotel was going down to the drain! They provide free luggage storing your luggage which is rather good but just leave it beside the lifts and the side of front counter. We were given a room on the fourth floor. The room was spacious and looked cosy. the room has a tv box with some old ancient movies or dramas. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. The room has a washing machine, stove but no kitchen utensils were given. You need to get yourself the toothbrushes at the registration counter during registration. The water shower pressure during our stay was extremely small. It was kind of frustrating as after a long day out and back to the hotel but without a good showering. The water pressure is not only small but the water temperature is also very unstable. Only on the last night of staying, the water pressure was ok. The hair dryer was also damaged when we wanted to make use of it. The dryer will get very hot and even can see some sparkling coming out but no air blowing out. The steps next to the tatami beds were not even. It is quite dangerous if you are staying with kids or elderly. The house keeping will come to your room to clean if you didn't ask not to, she will be very likely to throw away anything on the table that looks like rubbish to her Therefore, please do not simply put anything that you want on the table, otherwise it might get dumped away. Overall, the stay was considered pleasant if you don't need to deal with the front desk counter staff. I particularly like the tatami beds as it was very cosy and comfortable. I just felt not to wake up from the bed. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. Only a few footsteps away to Nanjing road and is very close to Waitan and even Yu yuan garden.
