The Old Shanghai Huixiang is a budget-friendly option in a super convenient location for exploring the central parts of Shanghai. The staff was really nice and receptive.
The ongoing renovations seem to aim showcasing the building's history which give it a certain charm. But it also makes the place feel a bit messy... Be prepared for a bit of a construction zone a**osphere. Even the rooms that are refurbished do not really have a new/fresh feel to them. If you prioritize a polished, modern experience, this might not be the best fit. However, if you're on a budget and appreciate a touch of history, this hotel could offer a unique and interesting stay.
